Waited for a waiter-waitress to order food and nobody came. Asked several waiters-waitress and they said they would find out who could service us and we were just totally ignored. Only saving grace was the bartender was great and we were able to get drinks. So sad since a couple of weeks ago the we had great service and we tipped very well. read more

This is the first time we've been back since Covid and it was every bit as amazing as I remember! The service was excellent and all of our food was delicious. The arancini appetizer was crisp and fresh with a lovely tomato sauce. Both of our entrees had perfectly cooked steak and pasta and I couldn't resist the flourless chocolate cake! Decadent! First time customer and did pick up. Ordered pizza, shrimp crab cake and pasta. I asked for red pepper flakes and was told by the two receptionists that they do not have it. Odd as they serve pizza. It's like saying we don't have salt or Parmesan cheese for a place that serves pizza. I asked them to ask the kitchen and they did not seem pleased and came back and said they ran out. This is the second time in the last 3 months that I've ordered carry out. My first order wasn't great but I decided to give it another shot. This time, similarly to my last ordered, the pasta was very dry, sauce was very garlic "forward", boat load of pasta compared to the other ingredients, and the vegetables in the minestrone soup were cut in very large chunks making it challenging to get the perfect bite. If this is a side effect of Covid, I would recommend a limited menu of things done well vs full menu of items that aren't executed properly. read more

Went here for anniversary during happy hour. We thought the happy hour appetizers would be a great thing. Small plates for $6 to $10. We ordered 6 of the 10 options. Thought the appetizers would be about half the size of normal appetizers. They were not. The stuffed mushrooms were two mushrooms. The calamari was like 6 or seven rings. The arranchini was one medium sized ball. The mussels were a fairly good portion. The charcuterie plate was a mot good. The bruschetta was two small pieces. The worst part is none of he tasted very good. The marinara they had on things was very oily tasting. We finally made it out to check out Rustica. We were thoroughly impressed. The food was really flavorful, well balanced, and portioned well. I was especially blown away by the grilled squid. Our first time for dinner was a terrible experience!! Our reservation for 4 was "lost". Waited 40 minutes for dinner. The food tasted like it sat under a heating lamp! Pasta was stuck together, eggplant parmigiana was crusty, (it looked like meatloaf" when our waiter finally checked in and ask how everything was, we responded "average" at best, he shrugged. There did not appear to be anyone in charge to register our complaint to. Birthday dinner with my wife, starting off with arancine sicilane and arancine spinaci which were crispy on the outside and wonderful tastes on the inside. Then we had salad with their creamy garlic dressing that was so fresh and bright. Finally we had our entrees I had the orechiette alla rustica which had crumbled sausage in the tomato ragu, melted cheese and toasted breadcrumbs on the top. My wife had the melanzana parmigiana which she enjoyed. After dinner the owner came over with desert and sang happy birthday in Italian to my wife. Went here Saturday night with friends and it was absolutely amazing. Love the atmosphere here and the food was to die for (tons of different options on the menu). Definitely need to make reservations as it is a smaller place, but that's partially why I like it so much. We went here for my birthday dinner. It was our first time there and it most definitely will not be our last. The service was fantastic. We sat in a booth in the bar area and it was adorable!! We got 2 happy hour apps and they were delicious!! I got the pasta with mushrooms and a truffle cream sauce with crumbled sausage and it was amazing!! My husband got a pasta with vodka sauce, burratta and crumbled sausage. It was so delicious!! The tiramisu was fantastic. Overall we had a great time and a delicious dinner. Been here several times (with husband and friends) and every time is great! I have recommended it to a few friends that live in the area. They have entertainment during the weekends which is so much fun especially for a date night! Some of my all time favorites have been the Aracini with Peas, Fried Calamari, Mussels with white wine, Burrata and Beet salad and their Pizzas! Their entire staff was very attentive and informative. The location of the rest. is a perfect area. Its right in the middle of DT Cary where all the action is. I recently met Mama Lobue. She is so sweet! Starving and hungry after a long day of hockey. We craved something warm and comforting. We were lucky enough to find this place and join for a family dinner. The place felt so warm and intimate. The service was great even though others complained of something others per reviews. Knowing there's a national shortage of labor in the hospitality industry. I'm happy that we are still getting service when out. The place we went to earlier was so understaffed we couldn't wait for a dinner and ended up here. We got bruschetta that was on a buttery piece of toast with fresh mozzarella, tomato and basil. It was excellent. We also shared the fire baked margarita and flourless chocolate cake. They had so many other great looking options and I can see why they are so busy. Live music was playing this evening which added to the mood. Our second time here. Same server and she is wonderful. First time we went we had the pizza and it was very good. Their salad dressing is very yummy. But the second time we went, I had the chicken parm and the chicken tasted like it was fried in old fish oil. awful. My husband had the lasagna and it was so piping hot that he had to wait 15 minutes to eat it. Italians know that when you made lasagna you have to let it sit for at least 15 to 20 minutes for a portion that size so it can set-up and your customer doesn't fry the roof of their mouths. it was like lava soup. The quality of all three meals was most certainly five star, as was the service by all staff. Mama introduced herself, & made we three feel as though we were family. Each course was well timed. Each course was FIVE star quality. I rarely order dessert. My tiramisu was the best I'd tasted in five yrs, & I've sampled a lot of tiramisu. My dessert was the perfect balance of all ingredients. All staff were genuinely happy, positive & smooth in motion throughout the evening. 750 C R-C is now on our top five finer restaurants in that immediate area. Wow, very impressed. Nice comfortable atmosphere Italian classics and mixed jazz music piped in the main dining area. A large versatile wine selection. Started off with the PEI mussels in garlic white wine. Juicy and fresh and garlicky. Our entrees were the Bucatini con Pompdorini with shrimp and Pappardelle con Polpette (homemade pasta with meatballs) Our server Gary was extremely helpful and jovial. Fantastic decor, food portions are sizable like most Italian restaurants, wine list was varied and had good options, service was excellent. Gary was our server and he was upbeat, friendly and overall a pleasure to interact with. We picked the Battle Creek Pinot Noir and it was amazing as most Oregon Pinot Noirs tend to be. We didn't do an appetizer but were brought a sample of the stuffed mushrooms. Now, my boyfriend and I HATE mushrooms, but they brought them to us for free so I figured, let's try it. We ate all three! They were really tasty, but don't tell all my friends that have been forced to have different appetizers because of our dislike of mushrooms! I chose the braised short rib pasta and my boyfriend had the lasagna. Expect to bring food home! As I mentioned previously, portions are sizable. The braised short rib pasta was good, but not nearly as good as the boyfriend's lasagna. I was disappointed I didn't get the lasagna, but also happy we didn't have two of the same thing to bring home. We skipped dessert this time. We will definitely return. Everything was wonderful! I would have given more stars to this place, however it's the second time we've visited and the issues are the same. Food is bland. No salt, no pepper, nothing savory. I went there with my kids a month ago; I took two bites of the lasagna and sent it back. They were very nice and gave me a dessert. Last week, my husband had dinner there and brought me takeout. His rigatoni and short ribs were tasteless and my pasta (which was a sweet basil/Margherita pasta) was also flavorless. We love the decor and hope they're paying attention to the reviews. My husband and I went here for dinner. The signage was unclear for happy hour. We asked if the bottles of wine were 1/2 price. We were told yes. So we ordered one, had our meal, and when the bill came, the waitress said we were going to be charged full price for the bottle. It was a 40 dollar bottle of wine. She said sorry and that it was only on Wednesdays. That it had happened before with other customers and yet, here we were on the hook for the bill. No compensation, nothing. I'm bummed that I still have to search for a good local Italian restaurant. I had high hopes as this new restaurant was being updated. Searching online you will find a menu, no prices, that lists some great Italian options. My interest was peaked, that's for sure. The location is conveniently located by the Cary train station. I didn't make reservations and was able to walk right in. The building is fairly comfortable and it's a pretty cool triangular shape because of the space that it is in. Service was so-so. The food was mediocre at best while being way overpriced for the quality. I had fresh pasta that looked like a rough cut from a sheet. It was overcooked, way past al dente. The sauce had no flavor. We heard other customers complaining about the same thing, lacking flavor. I would guess that it was a bad batch but from the other reviews on here I would just think it's how they do it. I probably won't be back, instead, I will be continuing my suburban search for decent Italian. read more

This was probably one of the most disappointing dinners I have had. My husband has been complaining that there is no good Italian around us, so as we watched this place get constructed we were so excited to try it. After boasting about fresh made pasta on their website, we were anxious to try it out. I ordered the lasagna (made with fresh pasta) only because the diner next to us ordered it, and when it came out it looked amazing. I wish I had waited the 10 minutes for her to eat it, tell the waiter that she did not want a to go box as it was bland and she did not want it now, or ever. After hearing that, I immediately worried I made the wrong choice. We got the fried Mozzerella which was very good, but inconsistent. 3 of the 4 pieces were a great size, like the size of an egg. The 4th however, was the size of a quarter. Very tasty, but overall disappointing. When the meal came, I gave it the benefit of the doubt, as again, the bubbling cheese in the cast iron dish gave me hope. Now, I am the kind of person who does not like salt at all. I have never added salt to anything at a restaurant in my life.... but I added salt and pepper to this. Even then, it was sub-par at best. With a lack of any flavor or sauce, the lasagna was a heap of over cooked noodles, Ricotta and maybe a meat filling, I'm not sure. There wasn't much to it, but the cheese on top was good. The decor was nice and inviting, but the staff was not. Apart from the hostess, everyone we encountered was extremely awkward and unfriendly. Our waiter did make an effort to make sure my lasagna wasn't bad (after noting that we were sitting within ear-shot of a complaint), but did so in such a way that made me feel bad about not liking the food, so we did not complain. The only other issue I have is that the website neglected to list pricing. I fully expected to pay for "fresh pasta", but did not expect my husband's noodles with a meatball to be $17. I had such high hopes for this place. Maybe they just need more time to find a groove, but sadly, I don't think we will be giving them another shot any time soon. read more

The waitress made sure to check on us regularly and our water glasses were never empty. They also have great weekly deals for food and drinks.
