This place is hands down my favorite spot for Korean comfort food. I've been here several times and the servers are always super nice and attentive, plus the seating area is ample and the vibe is always chill and relaxed. We ordered the rice cake with sausage, the galbi combo with purple rice and seafood tofu soup, and the grilled flounder, along with their great variety of banchan. Came here with my best friend and ordered a few things to share after a long, productive day forgetting to eat. Everything we ordered was good, but I can't say it was the best Korean spot in town compared to others. However, service was prompt and very friendly, and the overall ambiance was casual and clean. We stopped here because I had a craving for bibimnengmyun, but they only had it on the menu as a seasonal item, and unfortunately don't serve it all year round. I wound up ordering the yukgaejang instead and it was quite good, although I wished it was more spicy! They definitely incorporated a lot of shredded beef and veggies, which I appreciated because there are a lot of places that definitely don't add much meat. The luck of the draw wasn't quite with us today. 777 Korean Restaurant is a well-Yelped spot on Jones between Desert Inn and Spring Mountain, just across from the one always-packed plaza. This side has plenty of parking, and we got a spot close to the entrance since there weren't any other customers in the late morning. Strangely, only a couple of other parties showed up by peak lunch. Our server presented a complimentary barley tea and some metal cups at the start, then the banchan (side dishes) after we ordered. The tea is cold and has mild flavor, making it a decent alternative to water. The banchan were a bit of a mixed bag. I enjoyed the pickled cucumber, kimchi, green bean and mushroom, and thinly sliced celery. There were also a julienned green of some sort (seaweed?) that was a little too tough, a way-too-salty beef item, some uninspired broccoli with onion and carrot, and a boring mushy potato or yam. Although the initial portions are smalls, refills are complimentary, so don't fret. We shared a couple of menu items for lunch. The Japchae ($18.99) was full of the luscious glass noodles, but it was served hot and was more strongly sauced than any other version of it which I've had. I didn't find any beef despite the menu stating that it has some, but I did enjoy the dish overall. The Soon Du Bu ($18.99) was pretty solid. I thought that I asked for medium, but the mild which they served seemed better for my level of capsaicin sensitivity since it still had a kick. It was a hot and flavorful broth which I enjoyed slurping, but it wasn't really strong enough that white rice didn't start killing the flavor; I'll have to try the purple rice in the future. The tofu was soft, the various seafood items and small beef slices (I got the "mixed" protein) were all cooked nicely, and the egg may have gone more than a bit overcooked since I didn't realize that it was there. Service was pretty solid. The interior is light and simple, and really could've been any kind of Asian restaurant aside from Jinro ads and the metal found in only the cups and rice bowl. The music was via YouTube and died for quite a while since our server was busy. I enjoyed 777 enough that I'd consider returning to try some different entrees, such as bibimbap, grilled meats or fish. It didn't super-impress me this time, and we're all aware that there are plenty of other options in the area. read more

Was craving some soondubu and decided to check out 777 Korean Restaurant! We stopped by on a weekday around 8 pm, and there was plenty of parking in the square. The restaurant itself was pretty empty and we were immediately seated. Spacious inside with lots of indoor seating, with great service from the staff. Their banchan options are quite yummy and the servers are good with providing refills as needed! Pretty standard in terms of options - kimchi, pickled radish, cucumbers, fish cake, veggies, potato. I feel like similar restaurants usually also provide potato salad, but this place had egg salad instead. Beef Soondubu, Spicy ($17.99) - Similar to other Korean restaurants, you can choose between beef, seafood, kimchi, etc. and then order your spice level accordingly. - I liked how you also get to choose between white and purple rice -- can't go wrong with either but would recommend trying out the purple rice! - I went with Spicy, which provided just the right kick without being taking over the soondubu flavor. - Note: Egg is already cracked and served with the soup, rather than separate. I didn't mind but this could be something to ask about if that matters to you. Overall, the service was fantastic here and the food was tasty too. Nothing too out of the ordinary but a great place if you're in the mood for soondubu. Will definitely come back to visit again! read more

Came on Friday night, and there were only two other parties. The workers are very kind and attentive! The inside is clean, modern, and our server even came by to turn on the TV and play some music. Their side dishes (ban chan) was fantastic! They gave us 8 items, which is more than I'm used to. These included the egg salad, potatoes, kimchi, radish, cucumbers, celery, rice cakes, and steamed veggies. They didn't offer fried fish as other soft food places provide, but I think it was made up by the amount of side dishes that they offer. Soon do bu (beef medium-spicy) -$17.99 - Pretty good flavor! It had a reasonable spice level, but definitely not overwhelming. Probably could have tolerated the spicy level - It has a moderate amount of meat which was overall tender, and also included cucumber and onions, which I thought was interesting - An egg is already cracked and put in for you - Overall, a pretty solid spot for soon do bu, and I would definitely go back if I'm craving some Korean soup. Great hospitality! Good food. I was craving for kimchi jigae and this was the one dish they made very well here. We also ordered bibimbap and their Kalbi and naengmyun (cold noodles) combo, which were pretty standard. The side dishes were just okay too. I do have to mention that the naengmyun was a bit disappointing in flavor as it wasn't refreshing (no icy broth), tangy, or savory. Would I come back here? The vast majority of the AYCE places are very Americanized and the quality can be questionable. This place has excellent service, decent banchan, and delicious traditional Korean dishes. I wanted Bi Bim Bap so I stopped by at 777 Korean Restaurant. It's a pretty good size restaurant for larger groups. Lots of tables. Server was very nice and helpful. I was torn between ordering the Kim Chi Soup or Bi Bim Bap. The Bim Bim Bap felt refreshing to eat. The vegetables were a but plain tasting but that's OK. I added the sauce. Some sprouts has a strong flavor of sesame oil but not this one. I also enjoyed the ban chan. Loved the cucumber thr best. Wish they added that in my dish instead of all the mushrooms. Went to try this place from a recommendation from my hairstylist. Was greeted very warmly when walking in. Asked the waitress for any recommendations and had the Gukbap soup - it comes with rice and banchan side dishes. Soup was really delicious and I don't feel too heavy after finishing. Also, try out the tteokbokki, the sauce is sweet and spicy so it's a good blend with the two. Definitely coming back here if I want to get good soup. read more

The space is huge -- it almost feels like it used to be a Mexican or American restaurant -- but the food is authentic Korean comfort at its best. The soup I ordered was rich yet clean, full of flavor without being heavy. And the side dishes? Surprisingly amazing -- fresh, not overly salty, and nothing tasted like it had been sitting around. For Vegas, it's pretty good just because it's cleaner quality food. For LA/OC ppl, it'll be okay due to its quality and maybe their more specialized items. Soup, meat and family style sharing dishes (no bossam and cold noodles though). Decent! Finally a place that doesn't give me extreme dehydration and a huge food coma headache after. Which means they use cleaner ingredients than many of the other Korean joints. Many other restaurants is fast food quality Korean food. We got the $25.99 Seafood pancake. Lots of seafood in it. Would order this again. $21.99 Gabi Tang Soup was decent. $34.99 Osam Bulgogi/Squid. SO was craving between squid or octopus. Decent. $23.99 Daeji Bulgogi/Spicy pork was suggested by the staff. Similar taste to Osam though. This dish usually at many restaurants are done with bad ingredients to mask old meat, or overly seasoned....no food hangover, feeling off or slow from eating this after! Cleaner version. This place is pretty empty on a weekday night. Sad because quality is pretty good. I'd imagine maybe people don't know how to eat comfort Korean food...and only know about Western mainstream dishes. Overall decent. I wouldn't call it the best. But it's food we could eat again vs many other places. Looking at the menu, it doesn't look like they specialize in tofu so we avoided that. Apparently their menu has shrunk? We had: Cod: good serving for 2-3 people, comes with big chunks of veggie and tofu; delicious and very saucy. -the rice bowls: very good serving for one person and very enjoyable - spicy bulgolgi: very big and can feed 2 people - rice cake appetizer: meant for 2-3 people; very big saucey plate.
