Gung Chae was a random dinner choice as we walked around Town Square. It was an early dinner for us on a Sunday, so the restaurant wasn't very busy. Our party of 7 was seated at the high top table by the front. They provided four kinds of banchan that were tasty and do include free refills. * Grilled Pork Belly $23.99 - Served with a bowl of rice and typical condiments of raw garlic, jalapeños, ssamjang? and sesame oil. It was good, a little on the thinner side though. * Steamed Egg $12.99 - It was eaten up. * Beef Bulgogi Hot Stone Pot Bibimbap $20.99 - Although this was the Husband's dish, the Little Gal couldn't stop eating it and definitely wants more dolsot bibimbap in her life. * Clams Kalguksu $19.99 - This hot noodle dish was good, but the Little Guy didn't realize it was a bunch of little clams. In retrospect, he wished he got the beef version for more protein. Our friend got the Beef Bulgogi $23.99 and I guess it was his first time having it because he kept on raving about it and said it was so good. So, I guess that's a good thing! Since it was relatively empty, it was just the lone waiter and he was pretty attentive. I do think the prices were a bit high, but I guess it's what to expect at Town Square.

EVERYTHING was DELICIOUS!!! It felt like we were in Korea!!! My favorite was the hot pot bulgoggi bibimbap and the corn. The kalguksu was also delicious . . The seafood pancaie had a lot of seafood and it was crispy and not oily. . Lychee Soju highball was a nice treat!!! Soondooboo was also really tasty!!! The only thing missing was tteobokki! Service was really efficient and nice!!! Checkout the bathroom!!!

Have been to the Eastern location before as well as this one a while ago. We had came here for lunch on a Tuesday afternoon. Was surprisingly decently busy, especially since they were short staffed to only 1 waiter. He did really well keeping up with everything. We got their lunch special (11a - 3p). We've tried their HOT STONE POT BIBIMBAP previously. In regards to timing (and price), we decided to get the normal BIBIMBAP (~$2/off from regular dinner? menu vs lunch) I had got the SPICY PORK whereas my friend had got the CHICKEN (SPICY) 4 banchan (side dishes) came out quickly consisting of fish cake, soy bean sprouts, kimchi, and a salad. Our food arrived 15 minutes later. For the first time, the rice was SEPARATE from the BIBIMBAP. Usually the rice is on the bottom of the bowl and all the toppings are placed on top. No matter. Added the rice. The gochujang sauce comes in a bottle so you can put as much as you want as well. After a thorough mixing, i realized this was a HUGE portion (way bigger than their stone pot version, unless portion size has changed on that one as well). Lots of bean sprouts, cucumber/zuchinni, carrots, lettuce, seaweed, fernbrake topped with the spicy pork. I was able to finish mine (barely) but my friend had about 1/2 left in hers, which she packed in a box. Last time the AC wasn't on so it was muggy, humid, and warm. I dont remember what time of the year it was. This time, the AC was blasting !

Great place for dinner! The restaurant is very clean, our server was incredibly nice, and the food was fantastic. I tried the hot dog banchan--I've never had that combination before, but it is really good! The short ribs were also amazing and cooked perfectly. Definite 5 stars, I'll absolutely be back!

I'm so glad we found this place! I don't really have much experience eating Korean food and this place has a good variety. We came here for lunch and they have a nice lunch special menu. We were greeted and seated immediately on a weekend. Service was all around great! Roomy but modern, clean atmosphere. I ended up ordering the tuna kimbap as well as the seafood stew. Both were good portions and filled me up! Reasonable prices as well. Can't wait to come back in the future!

I have looked for real Korean food since living in Seoul for 8 years. I finally found it! The kimbap, soon du bu, and nengmyun were just like being back on the Han river! I felt like being home again. Every time I come to Vegas, I will be stopping here for the Korean food I can't find anywhere else. Side note: Imo was super nice and even spoke Spanish to my date! 3 languages for the win! The k-pop also made the place feel like being back in Korea.

We came and ordered bulgogi bibimbap, cold noodles, and japchae. Along with corn silk tea and crushed pear punch. I really enjoyed everything except the cold noodles. Mind you I've never had cold noodles and wanted to try it for the first time here and I was disappointed. In the cold noodles was pork and it was such a small amount of meat for I think $18.99 it was overpriced in my opinion. But I did enjoy everything else like the crushed pear punch, that was refreshing and delicious. The japchae was flavorful. My friend ordered the other dishes I mentioned and she enjoyed it. What won me over was their side dishes. The server would refill them whenever we're low and my favorite was the bean spouts and kimchi!! Our service was good, there was a time when we didn't see our server to get the check but we were patient. I love the ambiance it's clean with ample amount of seating and the location at town square is great since it's surrounding a lot of other shops. We did notice that there was fish inside the little water display up front which was cute. Will definitely come back to try something new (:

My teenage daughter and I found this place and we were HUNGRY and excited for authentic Korean food. The interior was such a vibe - relaxing, calm, and clean. Very inviting. We were greeted warmly and seated promptly. We ordered and our food came out quickly. My daughter ordered the hot pot and I offered the bibimbop - both were fresh and delicious. We will definitely be back next time we are in Vegas!!

First time coming here, we were craving Korean food. We ordered the seafood soft tofu soup, the grilled pork belly, and a short rib beef soup. The service was great and efficient. They sat us down right away, brought water, and offered the menu. While we were ordering the waiter also informed us that happy hour will start in about 20 minutes, if we want to order from that menu a little later, which was nice. We waited to order our alcoholic beverage when the happy hour started. The ambiance was nice. The food was delicious! My favorite was the seafood soft tofu soup and the grilled pork belly.

The food overall was very delicious, and everything was served piping hot, which made a big difference. My boys really enjoyed the meal. Our server was especially accommodating--she was flexible with my request to have just one egg and kindly placed it in the stone pot bibimbap instead of the hot soup. The interior is also very nice--comfortable with a lively atmosphere. Overall, a great experience and I would highly recommend it.

Our go to place for Korean without having to hit up Chinatown. Gung Chae serves a combo of Beef Bulgogi and a veggie tofu soup that hits the spot for me. We've always had and continue to have good service here. Today, we're being served by Linda. The atmosphere is fun (music) yet relaxing (decor). Just wished they would sell their kimchi as a side so I could have more for home!

    Francesca V.

The food was great! I came with no expectations, and the bibimbap I ordered was super flavorful even though I didn't get the hot stone option. The service was pretty quick, too and our server was very attentive to our needs. My only regret is missing happy hour!

Gung Chae makes yummy Korean food! They're conveniently located at Town Square near AMC theatre. You'll find them right next to Rachel's Kitchen. I love Veggie Hot Stone Pot Bibimbap ($17.99), it's very filling and delicious! They give a good portion, served in a hot stone pot with sizzling rice, topped with assorted veggies like shredded carrots, white radish, lettuce, bean sprouts, nori seaweed, and fried sunny egg, very healthy and nutritious. It's a nice meal and comes with complimentary banchan which include side salad with tasty dressing, savory fish cake and carrot slice, fresh crunchy kimchi, and tangy cucumber salad, all are very good and really adds to the deliciousness of Bibimbap. Also had Tuna Mayo Kimbap ($10.99), portion is plentiful and yummy! For refreshments, they have a nice selection of drinks including soju, beer, wine, non-alcoholic signature cocktail, soda, and Korean punch. I tried Crushed Pear Punch ($3.25), this drink is fantastic! It has a lovely sweetness, almost like a dessert on its own, and so amazingly refreshing! They even offer sweet rice cake desserts with flavors like strawberry snow, creamy sweet potato, and choco & banana mix. Service from Ashley and Raymond is very kind, welcoming, attentive, courteous, and friendly!

You seriously cannot go wrong. I've yet to try the shrimp or turkey or chicken. The sides are all delicious too. My favs are the coleslaw. It has a mild honey mustard flavor which I love. This week they also offered two specials -- the Oklahoma (Dandan with grilled onions) and the Jalapeño Oklahoma (Dandan with grilled onions and jalapeños). The Dandan has been on my list for a while, so I finally pulled the trigger. I called around 11:30 a.m. and was promptly helped by a friendly employee. After a quick chat about which of the three was best, I went with the Jalapeño Oklahoma and a side of Brussels sprouts. I've had the sprouts before and really liked them -- they felt like a slightly healthier alternative to the usual fried sides. (Though when I arrived to pick up my order, it seemed like everyone else was happily devouring onion rings, which made me second-guess that choice.) As expected, there was a line stretching out the door. I quickly realized I was the only one actually waiting outside. Several people walked straight in, bypassed the line, and got helped right away. Turns out a group of 3-4 people had already ordered and were just hanging out inside in the AC while they waited. Lesson learned: if you've already placed your order, just walk in next time. While I waited, the staff brought out an ice-cold cup of their fresh cantaloupe juice. It's very sweet and genuinely delicious -- highly recommend. I took everything to go and ate at home, so I can't speak to temperature. The burger was big and loaded with meat and cheese -- you couldn't really see the jalapeños or onions at first, but they announced themselves with the first bite. The brisket patties cooked in tallow deliver a deep, rich beef flavor. They're a little firmer than a standard burger (as expected with brisket), so if you're someone who likes a lot of vegetables and toppings, this might not be your ideal burger. But if you're after a straight-up, beef-forward, no-frills experience, you won't be disappointed. The Brussels sprouts were excellent as always -- perfectly balanced with a sweet-tangy balsamic glaze. Let's be honest... I'll definitely be back. Next time I'm trying the classic Dandan -- and those onion rings.

Finding parking was a challenge on First Friday and we circled the block for around 20 minutes before paying $25 in a parking lot. RESTAURANT: Upon nearing Soulbelly, we smelled the delicious smell of smoked BBQ coming from the smokers in the front of the restaurant. Soulbelly has a typical BBQ atmosphere for a casual dining experience with both high tops and picnic tables. You have a choice to dine indoors or outside on their patio across from the smokers. We were greeted with smiles and immediately seated at a picnic table for 4 around 630pm on First Friday. We had a great view of the live band that was playing which was an added bonus. FOOD/DRINKS: We started off with refreshing peach wheat draft beers accompanied by crispy smoked chicken wings tossed in sweet and sticky BBQ sauce, which made a perfect pairing! We tried the loaded BBQ fries topped with delicious and tender chopped beef brisket, fried onion straws, sour cream, and green onions, which I enjoyed so I ordered one for my dinner entree. Hubby ordered the 1 choice combo with smoked turkey and added 2 pieces of ribs for an additional $9. The smoked turkey was juicy and the ribs were good but not the best we have had. He had potato salad as his side, which was delicious and filling. Our friend Mary ordered the brisket combo with the refreshing pasta salad and added corn bread, which was crispy on the outside and the right amount of sweetness. Our friend Eddie ordered ribs with a side of baked beans which he enjoyed. Overall, we had a wonderful experience and would come back again. The portion sizes were not the most generous, so minus 1 for that. However, they did offer a 10% military discount, which was awesome. The pork ribs are wonderfully juicy and packed with deep flavor, pairing nicely with the complimentary sweet BBQ sauce even though they do not strictly need it. Unlike most places where the pulled pork dries out, this one stays remarkably moist and savory throughout. Chili (4/5): A very unique side that is much thinner and more watery than a traditional chili, holding a texture closer to a thin spaghetti sauce. Despite the looser consistency, it is absolutely packed with a variety of delicious smoked meats in every single bite. Mac and Cheese (5/5): An exceptional side dish and a clear favorite of the meal. It's incredibly rich, creamy, and distinctively flavored with sharp cheddar, which gives it a much bolder and more satisfying punch than standard restaurant mac and cheese. Corn Bread (5/5): This side functions almost like a dessert, boasting an incredibly sweet, vanilla cake like taste. The high level of sweetness provides a nice contrast to the intense salt, smoke, and savory flavors of the massive meat plate. Logistics Tip: Parking is limited but manageable between the two adjacent lots, and there is a clean restroom on site. To help beat the intense heat, they generously provide complimentary bottles of ice cold water. Keep in mind that they hosted live music on the late Saturday morning that we went. While it adds a fun, energetic backyard vibe, it can get incredibly loud and makes chatting with friends difficult, so you may want to bring ear protection or plan your arrival time accordingly.

The food itself was alright, we ordered the 3 meat combo with pulled pork, brisket burnt ends, jalapeno sausage with mac n cheese and potato salad. The pulled pork was extremely dry and difficult to enjoy without sauce (which was good). The brisket burnt ends which are a $4 up charge, had a good bark and flavor, but were also pretty dry and benefited from sauce, which you can see both in the attached photos. The jalapeno sausage was my least favorite, something about it felt generic almost like i've had the same exact thing elsewhere. The mac n cheese was pretty good, and the potato salad was also good in a very classic way. Overall, its worth stopping by and giving it a shot, especially if you're on this side of town and want barbecue because there is not many options.
