I came here to get some work done and truly loved the space. The inside is very green, with lots of plants, comfortable seats, and even swings. The service here was so sweet and even brought out my coffee for me. The coffee is a bit on the expensive side but they really do have some amazing coffee beans and specialty lattes. Stopped by 787 Coffee on a whim while I was visiting Brooklyn. WHOA! Where do I even begin?! I grabbed an iced tres leches latte with the rum infused espresso. It was absolutely DELICIOUS! But for real, how am I supposed to go back to regular espresso after this?! It was the perfect pairing for the creamy sweetness of the tres leches. The space was seriously adorable! Is cozy eye candy a thing? Because I think 787 Coffee has that down. With cute swings at the window counter, couches and chairs, and plants throughout - there's plenty to take in! Kevin was delightful too! Made great conversation and gave me all the details about the shop and the goods. Not to mention my killer espresso pairing. Not a review of the coffee, but I had a top notch experience here. I stopped for a hot tea and a comfortable place to sit while waiting to meet up with friends nearby. There's a wide variety of seating so likely a comfortable option for large bodies or disabled people. There's room for a disability scooter or motorized chair. The staff were incredible. I had a delightful chat with Kevin while ordering and he was so sweet when I spilled my tea by knocking my table. Later, Chelsea gave me a glass of water without me asking which was so thoughtful. I took a walk and ended up at 787 Coffee. A lovely little coffee shop in williamsburg with unique Puerto Rican drinks and espresso roasts. I opted for a hot Coquito Latte with the rum roasted beans. The drink is bit pricey but it was for sure a unique and delicious latte. They also have whiskey roasted beans as well as other specialty lattes like tres leches. There are also regular coffee and beans available for purchase. This was a lovely way to indulge. I love the uniqueness and the depth of flavor in the drinks is absolutely worth a visit. I had coffee here a couple times a week ago. Cute, quaint place. Ordered a cappuccino both times. On the 2nd visit, I brought my gf who ordered a vanilla latte and we both had a pastry. Overall the food and coffee were good. I'm leaving a 3 star because upon the 2nd visit, my gf and I were both asked what kind of bean we would like, however, were not told that this is an upgrade and we would be charged for it. The way it was phrased sounded like this was a normal part of the process and there was no mention of additional charge. Businesses should always be very clear with your customers when it comes to pricing and add-ons. They always have the most unique coffee blends, and every cup supports farmers and families. The decor is cute, cozy, and low-key IG worthy: loveseats, velvet chairs, even swings. I used to frequent the Harlem location on 129th and was so hype to find one in Brooklyn. When I walked in (clearly excited), Nettie greeted me with the warmest welcome. She answered all my questions, gave the best recommendation, and still kept everything moving behind the counter. The kindest and sweetest barista, such a gem. As a native New Yorker -- a Black American who grew up around Puerto Rican and Nuyorican friends and neighbors -- the celebration of Puerto Rican culture here feels familiar. Not trendy. Familiar. Since discovering it a few weeks ago, 787 has been a regular place for me to work from home. Their lattes are incredible and the service is even better. I'm not sure what kind of training they go through but every single person that works there is incredibly friendly. The baked goods are a little overpriced but regardless, I'll still keep coming back. The seating is comfortable and the decor is super cute. It's very green and fresh with large windows and cute swings by the door. The location is also very convenient, just steps off of the Lorimer/Metropolitan Ave stop. What a lovely cafe! I tried the coquito latte and the quesito. Wow! I'll definitely be getting the coquito latte again. At $12, this latte was definitely on the pricier side ($1 charge for oat milk and a $3 charge for the rum infused coffee), but for a once-in-a-while treat, it was worth it. The quesito was also delicious - the pastry was flaky and had little sugar crystals to add some extra sweetness. This contrasted perfectly with the cheese filling. I loved 787 so much that I went back after my first visit to get another quesito and to buy a bag of their coffee beans! The staff during both of my visits were quite friendly and this cafe has a good amount of seating. I'm excited to add 787 to my coffee shop rotation and to try the beans at home. read more

I got off of the L train at Lorimer Metropolitan Avenue and saw this cute coffee shop and sign it had outside. The sign said RUM! So I was like oh my god I need to try it and went inside. I was faced with a lot of decor and everything caught my attention. I was just aiming for the rum infused cold brew coffee and didn't know that the contents were in a plastic pouch until I got it. I was like wow it was something new that I've never seen before with any coffee shop. I took a sip and detected bitterness and not so much on the rum. I was kind of disappointed at first and then thought otherwise. I drank the whole pouch and expected to be tipsy but then it's coffee so I guess it was not that strong. The place has nice swings by the window as chairs with several plants by the window making it look really hipster. They have other mismatched nice accent chairs making it look really hip. This place has WiFi for free when you purchase and chill there. They are also serving banana and blueberry bread along with empanadas as snacks. read more

I get that it's more expensive because of the backstory of the supplies & direct connection to the farm, but damn... The specialty latte I ordered started at $8, plus .75¢ for oat milk. But then the barista kept talking about the special whisky and rum infused beans. It sounded interesting and I loved when coffee shops have unique menu items that they do in-house but it was a $3 up charge that he didn't tell me about. (& the little price on the signs for those beans were written in a TINY font.) He kept saying the rum was his fav but warning, the additional infusion ruin any specialty lattes. Mine overloaded the flavor of the coquito latte. They should really urge the specialty lattes to be done with the regular beans, but I could tell they were trying to upsell. I couldn't even drink 1/4th of it. I also got a canned cold brew to go because I needed a coffee for the next morning, which was also made in-house instead of the La Colombe cans you find in Trader Joe's but as soon as I took a sip, I had to spit it out. The baristas try to up charge with the specialty beans and food all the time. Obviously it's the managers making them do it so I usually just ignore it, but it's gotten so much worse lately. Before they would ask if you want to add these specialty beans to your drink, but sometimes now they'll ask you which of them you want without mentioning they're on optional add-on. This is so gross!!! You will miss out on so many regulars with this pushy behavior because I'm not going back to a place that encourages their employees to lie or push people constantly. read more

I paid $11 for a tiny coffee that supposedly took 7 minutes to make because I asked for it hot. Why would a hot coffee take 7 minutes and cost $11? They upsell you on everything. I asked for regular black coffee, nothing fancy. They have a really good sales person that catches you off guard and upsells you on everything. It was so off guard that I paid the $11. I walked out of there wondering why I even agreed to it. The coffee wasn't even hot, super light, almost like water. My friend paid $16 for a dulce de leche coffee in a plastic bag and a tiny "pastelito". I'm still thinking about that $11 coffee! The woman at the counter was nice but a regular cold brew is $7 (the most expensive cold brew in the neighborhood that I've come across... and +$4 if you want rum infused-who would lay $11 for a coffee???) and is below average. I saw her adding water, so this probably comes from concentrate. If it's from cold brew concentrate, tell the customers so we can go spend our $7 elsewhere. It also comes in a bag instead of a cup???
