This place looked really cool inside but I was disappointed to hear they didn't offer anything decaf but some weak tea that was way overpriced. Staff wasn't very friendly and the seating was really worn and uncomfortable.

I hadn't been to a 787 Coffee in years, and it was just as good as I'd remembered. This location was relatively spacious with lush plants, neon signage, and a calm vibe. I ordered the Coquito Latte with an extra shot of espresso, and really enjoyed it. The flavor was almost buttery but deceptively strong at the same time. My partner also enjoyed his pour-over with the rum infused beans. Service was friendly and pretty quick. Would return!

We ordered: 1. Horchata Latte w/ rum infused beans 2. Coquito Latte w/ whiskey infused beans I'm not an expert on coffee but the lattes had a nice, unique depth of flavor without tasting heavily like the alcohol the beans are infused with. Service was good and friendly. Plenty of cafe space to hang out which is not very common.

Delicious quality coffee! I am not the type of person who likes overly sweetened lattes that make you lose the flavor of the coffee so the coffee here was the perfect amount of sweetness! I ordered the iced coquito latte with oatmilk. So yummy and I also love the bags! Service was top notch so friendly and chill. Great atmosphere inside, beautiful aesthetic. I will definitely be stopping by another 787 when I am back in Manhattan again!

Such a cozy cafe with really welcoming baristas. The upstairs is like a playroom / living room vibe. Many communal tables that have well spaced out chairs and and couches as well. WiFi works great. I really enjoyed working here. The coffee was excellent I loved the dulce de leche latte. I upgraded to the rum beans for $3 not sure if that was super worth but the coffee was very yummy!

Amazing coffee! Did not have drip but did a pour over and it was fantastic. Price was a little on the high side and the location is not too convenient if you're out of the area - non walkable - and the sole reason for the docking of 1 star. Service was great. Ambiance was excellent. But I have been to similar places in Manhattan that are lower in price. Irrespective, if your not cost-conscious and want a good cup of coffee - especially there specials which are named after liquors (there's no liquor inside - that's for you to add on your side on your end =]) - recommend visiting this place at least once if you are not a loyalist to your favorite coffee shop.

This is a nice cool cafe. I had high expectations with their alcohol flavored coffee. So I tried regualr cortado in the morning along with empanada and rum flavored latte i.e. Coquito in the afternoon. I wanted to get the full experience. Empanada was nice and meaty, but felt it was pricey. Cortado was again to the point, nothing fancy to rave about. However their rum flavored latte was rather disappointing. The price point of $15 for a coffee you get a flavored coffee which is not very flavorful. I bucket this as one of those touristy places for fun but missing the tru essence of coffee. Service was fast and polite in the morning, but in the afternoon it was awfully slow. They messed up an order before me which took time. People who need to catch trains are in a rush, they should be sensitive about that especially since they are so close to the train station.

Love the ambiance. Good seating and vibes. The staff is nice too. Yes, the drinks come in a cute lil pouch. Got the rum infused cold brew (4/5) and coquita (4/5). Next time I would ask them to do less cinammon & nutmeg. It gave me horchata vibes.

    Matcha latte

The vibe and merch are very cool and silly. There's a lot of places to sit and it very spacious. The person in register is nice and that's all fine but there's not a visible menu, I assume you can only access that online. Also the matcha I had only really tasted like milk. There's also not many pastry options --4 I believe. I'm assuming the coffee is a different story and is quite nice because the matcha is only latte grade (they also sell the matcha powder).

Im giving four stars for my overall experience. Five stars for the customer service. I wasn't happy with the flavor of my coffee not knowing it would have raw flakes of coconut in it. She allowed me to change the one I had. Three stars for the coffee. My hot dulce de leche with oatmilk was bomb but the coquito was a fell, I mean the coconut flakes was just to overwhelming. Although I was able to swap out for another flavor I still had to keep the ice one I also brought in the coquito flavor. I just didn't want to make a big fuss. Although these drinks are expensive. Almost 10 for coffee drinks everywhere in the city now is crazy. Three stars for the vibe of the place. They had plenty of seating upstairs and downstairs. Overall Although they now have plenty of locations im not rushing to get to any of them. Not saying I wouldn't visit any, but I not saying I will either. I would just suggest stick to what you know and don't get caught up with what's trending, your pockets will thank you.

    Iced americano
    Chandni L.

For an $8 americano ($1 extra for a light splash of oat milk), this was a disappointing drink. The americano was lack luster, with the first taste being water, followed by a weak aftertaste of espresso. In a city with numerous options for coffee, I would recommend skipping this if you're looking for a good americano.

While visiting New York, I wanted to try as many different coffee shops as possible. 787 was on my list. My husband and I decided to visit the second day here. The café is small, quaint and uniquely decorated. Which I appreciate it. The staff were very nice, although there was a line They served everyone quickly. I ordered the tres leches latte and my hubby got the dolce leches latte! Both were really good!

    Leeza D.

I tried the whisky barrel infused latte. The roast has hints of vanilla and dark chocolate and the beans are from Puerto Rico. The taste is unique and the coffee was an experience. Barista was chatty which made the experience special and he talked me into paying the extra +$3 with the whiskey beans. Im glad I gave it a try. Their signature drinks sound delicious, but I have a low sweetness tolerance so I knew they would not be for me, but it could be for you if you like flavored coffee. Indoor seating available. Casual. Please come and create your own experience.

I was at this quaint tea shop east of Koreatown earlier in the evening before going to a meal at the excellent new Thai place, Wanglang. The staff was very friendly, and they specialize in matcha, along with having hojicha, genmaicha, black tea, and sencha. Along with more traditional drinks, they also have fruit options as well as black sugar jelly (I presume kuromitsu) and a Japanese citrus that's not seen much here, hyuganatsu. Along with the citrus, this place is rather unique as they had three different matcha options in terms of variety. As I tend to prefer teas pure and without add-ons, I ordered the Matcha Americano, which is simply matcha and water. I went with the 12-oz version for $6 + tax and ordered the Hajime, though I would likely get the Fuku No Midori next time based on descriptions online. The matcha was solid and had a mild sweetness and a light earthiness. However, it lacked some of the mouth coating found in very high-quality drinks from Sorate or Setsugekka, while being similar in price. Still, that is comparing to some of the best, and this was still very tasty and a lot better than 90% of the places in the city, being more comparable to Kettl. I wouldn't mind going back and ordering the other matcha varietal to see whether that is a better comparison. Outside of this, I enjoyed my drink, and the staff was friendly. I hope they do well.

And I commonly see the upstairs for private events like baby showers, bridal showers, or birthday parties on social media. After dinner with my friends, I was looking for dessert and I was glad to see this location closes relatively late on a weekday night at 11 pm. Upon walking in, I was greeted by a waiter who led us to one of the purple velvet chair booths that was perfect for two people and another waiter brought us a pitcher of water almost immediately. The menu is on a QR code already on the table and we were given ample of time to decide. My friend and I both already knew what we wanted to order. I got the purple Yam Souffle which takes 25 minutes to make and my friend got the fried squid tails. We also got a signature Rose Green Milk Tea to share. The waitress who took our order has great memory and recalled all of our items without writing it down. She also reminded me that I could adjust the ice and sugar levels of my drink which I had completely forgotten and would have got annoyed if my drink came out 100% sweetness. Another thing is that my drink order frequently comes out wrong at other locations so I was glad she got it right! Green tea instead of black tea and with milk instead of without milk. The purple Yam Souffle is just like the other locations. Hot, soft cakey texture balanced with an ice cold red bean Ice-Cream. So delicious! The squid tails on the other hand was not what we expected. It came out burnt and hard. The outer batter was not crispy either. We informed one of the waiters and he brought it back to inform the kitchen staff. We received a new batch that was not as burnt and had more flavoring this time around. However, the squid was still hard and not like the ones we get from other locations with smaller crispier pieces. Overall, it was still a good experience and I love the decorations at this location! This might be my second favorite location after the Flushing one. Would love to come back for brunch or hi-tea. Or regular food options when I have not already eaten dinner. My usual go-tos are the twister fries, Santa Fe chicken rolls, fried salted crispy chicken, and the trio dessert combo. However, this location has a lot more variety! FYI - there are two unisex restrooms in the rear for customers to use with really cute wallpapers too.

We ordered potted rose milk tea to share, Dubai affogato and Brown Sugar Boba Mille Crêpes Cake. We came on a Friday around 4pm. Originally I wanted to try the strawberry matchamisu, however, was told that it sold out. What a bummer. The rose milk tea came with a themed pot and cups which is really cute. The rose fragrant smelled so good and the milk tea also tasted good and has a hint of rose taste. The cake was good, the boba was well cooked, chewy and flavorful! This time there was an unpleasant experience. At first when the Dubai affogato was served, we did not realize that the amount of the coffee was little until we saw another customer's dish that the volume of their coffee looked significantly more than ours. My friend brought it to the waitress attention but the waitress brushed it off and did not acknowledge our concern. When we finished and were about to leave, the same waitress came over and showed us that the container of the coffee was different and hence the volume of the coffee looked different. At this point, we did not care for it anymore. We would have been fine if the staff acknowledged our concern. We thought that maybe using standardized containers for the coffee would avoid this problem. Other than that, the food and drinks were good.
