Last visit on our vacation and me being a huge arcade fan, I was very curious to see how great this place was. It definitely didn't disappoint in the slightest, even my wife who has never been to an arcade got lost in how much fun it was. All machines take quarters so be prepared with cash, but if you're not they do have an ATM. The drinks were about $6-8 bucks with only 3 craft beers on tap and a few canned, definitely decent selection for an arcade. The Pinball selection is VERY diverse with newer and older cabinets, the arcade games were anything from classic dig dug to marvel vs capcom, we spent a total of $35 bucks and had a great time for about 3 hours. I love this spot! I've driven past it countless times before ever knowing what it was and going in. After being told about the local arcade bar in downtown Renton I realized it was the same spot with all the characters painted on the windows. I've finally been in a few times. There's tons of street parking since it's downtown so that's never been an issue. I usually go somewhere for dinner and end up here afterwards. The classic arcade games are awesome. There's an ATM and quarter machine so you don't have to come too prepared. It totally brought me back to when I was younger and playing outdated games that my mom still loved. This is a perfect outing if you want to have fun and not spend too much money. There's a bar inside and they do offer some food. I have driven past this place many times and finally decided to check it out. It's a quaint arcade bar with a small selection of drinks, multiple pinball machines, retro arcade games, and coin exchange machines. I will probably come back again since it's a fun date activity but I do wish that their decor and bar were a little more stylish. It's definitely a dive bar. read more

If you're looking to step back into your childhood, or experience, what it was like back before the explosion of the gaming console, this is your spot! My 1st time visiting was last summer, as I had just recently moved from the East Coast. I found this spot while driving in town and upon stepping inside, I was immediately "unmorphed" from adult back to Pre-teen status. I can tell you there is more than enough to keep you busy. There are plenty of games to whet your inner big kid appetite, ranging from the classics like Street Fighter, Tekken, and even the SIMPSONS! And let's not forget they have a nice menu. Not humongous, the goal is to be entertained, yet their plan works. This place keeps you from leaving. I've had their pizza and tried a few of their home grown brews. Next time I'll definitely indulge more in the delicacies. I love how they bring it all together with the glass holders on the game units. I can totally remember back in the day, having to either finish my soda, or risk having it kicked and spilled. This place just exudes awesomeness! One gets to play 80's video games and relive their childhood with the exception of having a beer in hand. Beer and video games! What a great combo!! There are also numerous pinball machines, which I suck at but nonetheless still so much fun! The games usually cost only a quarter. They do have a change machine but I advise bringing a roll of quarters so you get down to playing right away. Great place to visit if you're in the area and want to have some fun and kill some time. I loved it this place! Local beer, pizza, ice cream and classic arcade games. What more can one ask for!? This was one of the most memorable stops I had on my Washington trip. The beer was good, I had the 8-Bit Blonde. The games were super cheap. Most were 25 cents, some were 50 cents. They had all my favorite arcade games such as Mario, The Simpsons, TMNT, Puzzle Fighters, Marvel Vs. Capcom, Pac-Man, The House of The Dead and Tetris. The only one missing was Area 51. I was so happy! Like a kid in candy store! They also have an air hockey puck game and tons of pinball machines. In the back patio there's a giant Connect 4 and giant Jenga. Definitely not a place to go if you're planning to eat. The pizzas are $10-$13, they're small and they're frozen! Not worth what you pay smh. The bartender was kinda minding his business; a little apathetic, not so welcoming, but not rude or anything. HH from 4-6 M-F. What a great place! You really can't go wrong with old-school video games (so much pinball!), giant connect 4, beer and snacks. The crowd on Friday night was pretty diverse but friendly. Everyone seemed to be having a rockin good time. Kids are welcome during the day, but late night is adult only, which is kind of nice when you're surrounded by kids all day. Wow is place is an amazing throwback! More than a dozen older pinball machines, a few old electromechanical games, and some classic digital arcade games like Tron, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Q*Bert, etc. Most games are just a quarter too! The space is fairly spartan aside from some retro gaming art and some good background music. As for food and drink, its more beers and snack bar stuff - a few taps, cans of cider, soft serve and shakes, pizza, etc. Many of the games have convenient drink holders for your pint, a nice touch. Bottom line this is a great place to have fun and a pint, but wander over to local 907 if you want some serious chow. read more

This place is great. My favourite part of it all might have been the mango slushies (made with wine). Um definitely had more than one brain freeze because I was drinking them so quickly. They also have mini pizzas they pop into their little oven. The bartender told us they get them from someone local. They were pretty good! The ppl there are super nice and we're just awesome. It was our first time there and we didn't feel awkward or out of place. I haven't been to a super nice arcade place so the decor/ambience fits right in with expectations lol. My first impression was a bit tainted because when I entered, kids were roaming and partly screaming everywhere - a similar vibe as Family Fun Center wit all 'em kids... hey, it's great for kids(!), so that's good, too. Anywho, I pop in a just check the place out... 'love the window displays that greet you! If you've been to the SPM in Chinatown, this is like a sibling. Only this sibling has dialed up space and food offerings & dialed down machine factoids. You can get a drink (either type), a snack to grub on and a big ol' electronic toy to feed quarters into. I played an arcade fighter game and I think the Xenon pinball. One lane in the pinball machine always seems to catch a ball slightly. I brought it up to the staff and he said don't be afraid to nudge it slightly (the ball wasn't "wedged;" just 'stuck in a slightly' in a too small opening where it should flow freely). An overall fun spot but I'd come by when the kid count isn't too high if you don't prefer playing around them. read more

Love this place! Beer and nostalgia? I'm definitely in! The fact children are booted in the evening (9:30 is the current time) is just icing on the cake. They have plenty of pinball and old-school games to choose from and they change it up from time to time. Sometimes it's a bit hectic at the bar and you have to flag a bartender down, but they do provide friendly service and take an effort to get to know you if you come in regularly. Absolutely love the old school arcade games, and they play using quarters like back in the day too. There's about 30 pinball machines too, with everything from South Park to The Walking Dead on them. Drinks and food are modestly priced but the food is pretty generic and bland... If you're not in to loud obnoxious drunks though I'd avoid Friday nights for sure... apparently the sandwich shop down the street turns in to a very wild club after dark. Bubble Bobble. BUBBLE F'N BOBBLE!!! Came here with my husband and oldest stepson while we waited to pick up the son's wife at SeaTac. My husband loves video games. I love beer. This place has both. Also .. I don't know if you saw how much emphasis I put in that first line with my ALL CAPS but it's really how I feel. I used to play this game in the 80's and turns out, I still love it. They have tons of games from my childhood. Did I mention they have beer? So, unlike my preteen-self, I was able to have my pint of IPA and play Bubble Bobble to my hearts content. This is a great place to stop, while you're waiting to pick someone up from the airport. It's all street parking but more than likely you'll find something. If you enjoy old school gaming, this is your place. I went late on a Friday night and it wasn't too crowded, which was great. All of the games worked well, and they also had beer and pizza that you can order. Gaming was not a bad price either. The machines will take quarters! Parking is on the street, but is pretty easy to find if you're okay with walking a block or two. If you want to relive some childhood memories, this is your spot. read more

I cannot believe this brewery exists. When my brother and I walked inside we were in disbelief. They have old school games that take quarters! None of that coin nonsense. They have sit down DK and Galaga! Need I say more? Well okay I will, Street Fighter 2! 6 button configuration. Pac-Man ghost lights by the bar. Their beer is pretty good too. Not something that's going to hit the spot but everything else about 8 Bit is there. The employees are awesome and friendly. They do serve personal pizzas which seemed to be a favorite because they were cranking those. There is an outdoor area where large games can be found like connect four. Pretty meh overall. I'm a bit of a classic arcade game junkie and was looking forward to the visit. Out of the 10 arcade games I played 6 had some major technical issue. QBert had missing missing graphics, out run a bad pedal, Total Carnage a broken joystick, Ms Pac was not on the default settings ( and had a bad joystick), Arkanoid had a broken spinner, and Super Sprint had a corrupted ROM. Many of the pinball machines were turned off as well. I think the need a tech who is a bit more familiar with classic arcade game repair. We left after about 40 minutes. read more

If you start typing in "8 Bit" into Google it automatically shows up as '8 Bit Arcade BAR' Having been here multiple times, mostly in the evening, I was taken back that they actually allowed children here. I understand it is still an arcade, but I was under the impression that it was for adults only as there are plenty of other places to take your children to play games. Having been swarmed by a hoard of children while trying to play some pinball the cries and tantrums really spoiled the evening. Their "website" (which is merely a Facebook page) says it's all ages until 9:30 seven days a week. I don't know about you, but the last thing I want to do when enjoying a beer after work and trying to unwind is to deal with someone else's child throwing a fit because they don't know how to play a game or didn't win while their parent is off on the other side of the building playing their own game. The best advice I can offer is; if you're on team "no bratty babies" like I am, definitely steer clear of this place before 9:30 and catch happy hour somewhere else. Otherwise, after 9:30 it's not a bad place to grab a $5 can of Rainier... While playing either pinball, table top games, or if you're feeling risky; giant Jenga or connect four on the back patio. Realistically, I'd give this 2.5 stars if they'd let me. read more

This place is awesome and will take you back to the 80's one step inside the door. Coin operated arcade games all of which are old school. Name a game. They have it. If you like pinball like me, they have that too. Bonus- It's a bar and restaurant. You can literally drink draft or canned beer while playing Joust, Dig Dug, Pole Position, and Galaga.
