I recently attended a Yelp elite event here, and wanted to get return to give it a regular review. I stopped by for lunch and enjoyed the pulled pork sandwich with a strawberry lemonade. The service here is great. The people are pleasant and helpful. It's a cozy space with not many chairs and tables. However, people are friendly and adjust to the number of people in the room. The sandwich is delicious. I'm just not sure how to eat it without making a mess. They dribble a delicious barbecue sauce on the sourdough. It was really good though. It was a little late in the day for a coffee so I opted for the strawberry lemonade, which was delicious. If you're anywhere near 19th and Q St., downtown Bakersfield, you really have to give this place a try. You won't be disappointed.

Came here this morning because my niece loves matcha and wanted to take her to try a new spot. From the street this place was hard to find - it's because their front window was boarded up due to a break in which was sad to hear. They do have some outdoor seating on the sidewalk which is nice. The owner who we met said they are working on backyard seating which will be really nice when complete. We ordered two lattes, 2 breakfast items and got two cookies to go and that was $56 after tip. Which is on par for almost all coffee shops across SoCal. The inside is small but very cute and fun decor. They have merch and lots of plants. The menus are hard to find/see and it's a little confusing when you walk in as to where to order. The lattes - my niece really liked her horchata matcha latte. My biscoff latte was very cookie forward not much coffee flavor - and the ice melted way too fast which made it not as refreshing. If you like sweet drinks it's great. I wasn't surprised - it's cookie butter laced! Just hoped for a little stronger coffee. I also noticed the cups are very thin which may be why the ice melted so fast and also why it was hard to hold without the lid leaking a bit. Now the food - the eggs were cooked to PERFECTION and I am picky. Really Picky. They were runny but not slimy iykyk. The croissant was flaky and butters, cheese was melted. The only downfall was the turkey - it was SO DRY. I would have 5 starred a cheese and egg version. The maple pecan croffle was interesting. The croffle part was dense - very chewy. The flavor was good but the texture threw me a bit especially since the croissant on the sandwich was so amazing. The topping on the croffle was also not what I expected. Was it a butter cream cheese sugary mixture? I think so. It was good in very small amounts but they put ALOT on top. The best part was the toasted pecans in the syrup under the dish. Niece liked the cookies! Overall staff were friendly and the spot is newer so I think they are getting things down. They are also operating after a break in which I'm sure isn't fun.

My wife and I love Uncharted Adventures. We shared the Tinga Su Grilled Cheese and a Berry Matcha. Tenga grilled cheese was delicious and so was the matcha. Portions were good, as we were able to share the sandwich and both us were satisfied. They also had homemade cookies. The cookie was just right, not too sweet. They recently have opened their beautiful back patio to sit and eat. The service is great as well. We'll be back to try more pastries and sandwiches.

Such a great event! I had an amazing time seeing familiar faces, sharing and listening to stories and tasting some great coffee with my Elite Peeps! Big shout out to our community leader for pulling us together and keeping us in the best places Bakersfield has to offer. I loved the up stairs area. Felt like home or a grandparents house when you're like 5 and everything is a good place to take a nap on. I genuinely look forward to seeing how this place grows in the future and the amazing impact this business has on our community. The roof top is going to be epic and 1000% they will need a couple crane's to move all that wood.

I love finding these gems when I visit Bakersfield. I walked in a couldn't stop admiring all the cute decor and merch. The fact that they made the café look like a hot air balloon!? ADORABLE! I was drawn to this place because I saw the had croffles. I've never had a croissant waffle and that needed to change. I got the mazapan croffle and OOOHHH MYYYY!!!! With a generous amount of cream cheese. It was delish! And I really liked the Abuelita cafe. The ladies working the front were super cute and friendly. I'll def be going back when I visit Bakersfield.

Service was pretty quick for the traffic they had. I went for the free yelp drink which was cold brew. The flavor notes were listed on the can but I can honestly say it was just cold brew flavor to me. The place is small for the traffic it carries.

We stopped by to try the delights of this sweet cafe. I have heard so much about it that I wanted to come and visit. My son ordered a watermelon Italian soda with strawberry cold foam and I got an iced chai. Both drinks were delicious. The staff are all very sweet and happy to accommodate any add ons one may want on their drink. The inside of the cafe is very cozy. We enjoyed our drinks and our time inside the cafe. We will be back soon.

First time coming and wow! A hidden gem in downtown Bakersfield for sure. It's a small cafe hidden within the streets. Walking in, we were greeted. I had the experience to meet the past owner since he gave it up to his son! Sweetest cool guy. The backstory to himself and the cafe is cool to hear. His energy really makes the place unique. Since I came for Yelp, I got honored to get a free drink and cool keychain. Their cold brew is top tier, and it really gave me full on energy. Their dirty chai is also super good, as well as their grilled cheese. I'll definitely pop in again to try other items!

I came here to get some work done, but unfortunately the WiFi was not the greatest, it kept cutting out. Main reason I'm giving it 3 stars because I came here to get work done on my laptop, and obviously I couldn't get as much done. I did try the biscoff coffee, and it was not too sweet, so it had a good balance.

Asked Yelp community where the best coffee spots are in Bakersfield specifically for solo dates and this was the top answer. Came in with my sister and was greeted right away. The menu is pretty straight-forward with a good variety of options. Additionally, the place is clean and organized. What we got: Ube croffle - it was perfect! The filling, the sauce and the crunchiness. Gimme 10 of those please! Biscoff croffle - same thingggg. It is to die for! I forgot what coffee drinks we got but they were good too. Paired well with the crof Friendly staff, cozy vibe and delicious food. Highly recommend this place and I can't wait to go back!

Adventure Awaits was a first time experience for us. I had heard multiple people from work recommending this place and saying they had one of the strongest coffees around. We went on New Year's Day and it was surprising how many people were still there. Very quaint and small place but they'll get you in and out with your order. Very welcoming and very helpful to describe what each thing is. They'll also offer recommendations based on your preferences. The wife likes a little on the sweeter side and I like a stronger and not as sweet. I would say the coffees were perfect and mine was so strong I just sipped it for the next few hours. Definitely some bang for your buck. When it comes to their food items theirs some pros and cons. I would say it is all prepared wonderfully but unwound have to say the Croffle needs to be cooked a tad bit longer and they're more for if you have a sweeter tooth. My boys had it, to go with their drinks and they were even saying with the butter and toppings it was a little too much. To each their own though because the wife's toast, with berries and whatever else was on it was delicious and my Cuban (yes my Cuban for breakfast) was perfectly made. Overall, Adventure Awaits is nice, quaint, very clean, the service is great and very speedy and the drinks and food are great. If you want a strong coffee to get you through your entire day and a little bite to eat, this is definitely a place to go. You guys have a great day and see you at the next spot.

Coffee shop is small and furniture looks very used, aesthetically not very appealing but I'm here for coffee, right? Several signature drink options and quite a few sugar-free options as well. The coffee was extremely hot but honestly, nothing spectacular. It's was extremely basic and know I can make this at home. They used a powder mix but nothing to make it their own, just right out of can..so disappointing. They did have several baked good options. I probably wouldn't come back here. On the other hand, the butter English scone thingy was honestly inedible. Overall: some real standouts and some big misses. A mixed experience, but that blueberry empanada alone almost makes it worth another try.

As I was walking I saw the sign for this place and was happy I did because my other coffee options were a fast food restaurant or the famous coffee chain. It was a bit confusing to locate. It was tucked away in the back of a commercial office space type building. Once inside the place was very clean and organized. Very minimalist design. I was only one of 4 total people inside. My order was taken quickly. I ordered an iced americano with a ham and cheese turnover. Coffee was on point. No notes. No complaints. The pastry however was not good. They asked me if I wanted it heated up. I said I did. I saw her put it in the microwave, and I assumed they turned it on. When I bit into it (I had already left and walked across the street) it was cold. Like cold cold. On top of that it was flavorless which made it worse. Being driven back from the Grand Canyon having spent nearly a week camping with some awesome people from SJSU, we were informed we were staying at a Super 8 motel overnight to take hot showers and sleep on beds (one week of camping will do that). I had search on Google for coffee nearby and saw this "Bikini Bottom Coffee" shop pop up and yes, I was intrigued of a coffee shop with bikini clad baristas. But it was getting late and we had an early departure for San Jose the next day so I bookmarked this place just in case the free coffee and breakfast offering at the motel did not speak to me (it was terrible...). The morning of the departure, I got up early and it was just a 1-minute walk there and they have two(?) drive by lanes for cars to pull up to order. You can also just walk up to order. Aside from the obvious -- baristas in bikinis taking your order, they have an extensive list of coffee drinks and souvenirs you can buy. Given I need my morning cup of coffee, I opted for the House Blend Bue Coffee and their French toast breakfast sandwich. My verdict? The coffee was alright. I have had better coffee, but given my choice of free (gross) coffee at Super 8 vs my bikini coffee, the latter was a much better solid choice. The French toast breakfast sandwich was heavy with sausage, bacon, and eggs if you are a meat lover. Customer service was excellent so I will give them props for being patient with me while deciding what to order. Overall, it's a good coffee pit stop (if Dutch Bros isn't around) with good customer service vibes (and no, it is not what you think lol).
