Something old-world maybe? Like a flavor that's existed for centuries and been passed down through time and so so many generations... and it's now landed in our corner of the world that's just a few blocks away? Globalization and the world within, for f' sakes! This place is truly brilliant. More recently, I'm only in town a few days out of the week, but I make a point to visit this location or their other location, Mokhamena on Panama, each day I'm here to, at a minimum, pick up two for myself--the first one is to function and the second is to savor. There was a time I'd pick up the party-size for my coworkers when I liked them... but alas, times have changed so more for me. The staff there are always friendly and awesome, and on days that I'm lucky enough, I get to actually enjoy the cafe. So grateful you guys are here and sharing flavors from across the world.

They unfortunately do not have public WiFi for customers, and connection there was spotty for Verizon. But maybe that's an opportunity for it to be more of a in the moment hang out type of vibe, which I will definitely be back to do.

She and her friends have come here to study, and the vibe is perfect for it! Welcoming staff, delicious coffee (hot and cold) and juices, rotating bakery items, a cute gift shop/a book store right next door, a prayer wall, and lots of different and comfortable seating arrangements make this coffee shop one that you have to visit. The space is actually one of their biggest strengths there's a lot of seating, plenty of room to bring your laptop and work remotely, and areas where people can gather. It's also connected to a church, so it definitely leans into that community-centered atmosphere. Unfortunately, after going back 3-4 times hoping my experience would improve, the coffee has been consistently disappointing. It tastes burnt and weak at the same time like warm water with sugar. There barely seems to be any real espresso in the drinks. On more than one occasion, I've taken several sips hoping it would get better... and ended up throwing the whole drink away because it was just that bad. That's honestly frustrating, especially when you're paying for specialty coffee. The only drink I've actually enjoyed there is the pumpkin spice latte, that one was solid.

They asked me if I wanted it heated up. I said I did. I saw her put it in the microwave, and I assumed they turned it on. When I bit into it (I had already left and walked across the street) it was cold. Like cold cold. On top of that it was flavorless which made it worse. Stick to the coffee or make sure you check the temp of the food prior to leaving.

It is a fish-shaped pastry with a crispy, waffle-like exterior filled with your choice of fillings. Texture is crispy but also a bit chewy (kinda like mochi). I ordered 3 (mozzarella, Nutella and custard) all three flavors were delicious. These are made to order and take about 15-20 minutes to make. Cafe Tori's menu has many options. The cafe was very clean, organized and spacious. The self-serve kiosk is their preferred method of ordering as there are only two people working. Both staff were very friendly but extremely busy. The owner was there both times that I went. This place is located in a strip mall so plenty of parking however, during peak lunch and dinner times, Maui Pho customers take the majority of the parking near Cafe Tori.
