Sometimes the drink options are a bit overwhelming, but thankfully the 85 bakery team is always happy to recommend something if you feel unsure of what to get. Upon my first time entering 85 degree I was very impressed. Not only was the bakery very clean and well put together but also the service and staff are very welcoming and nice. You have fresh baked goods then you also have some fridge baked goods as well. They also have hot chocolates and other drinks for this cold weather. I got some warm butter bread and also a couple of freshly baked cookies and a hot chocolate. They have a lot of chairs and tables so you can study or just hangout and relax. Been coming to this 85c for years. Unfortunately, the quality of the baked goods has greatly diminished. The consistency and quality of the items coming out is horrible. This location is in a very popular area so if you can first manage to find parking somehow then you're in for a treat. I can really appreciate this location for actually having a functional self-serve kiosk for drinks cuz it really cuts down on my wait time. Pro tip: order your drink first and THEN go in line to order the rest of your pastries and cake. Like all other 85C bakeries, there's always a variety of freshly baked goods. We brought the Red Velvet Cake from 85°C to our lunch celebration and it was a huge hit. We accidentally dropped the cake in the box (totally our fault) but it still looked beautiful. Smaller than other stores that I've been to but they had the lemon cake that we were looking for so that's a plus. The layout is also cramped because if there's a line waiting to pay for bread you'll have to squeeze in to get into the bread selections. Some people just stare at you too hugging both lanes. :( Aside from that, this place is located in a very nice plaza with plenty of parking. It's close to H-Mart as well as Sup Noodle Bar. Placed two drink orders today one medium and one large Peach green tea with added lychee jelly and one pump of syrup. When my drinks were ready there were two medium drinks- I let the barista know I ordered one large one medium he takes one medium opens it up and put it in a larger cup added a little extra tea and one pump of syrup- after we left and I begin to drink it - it definitely didn't taste the same and I was disappointed. While waiting for our drinks I was going to get some cheese breads but every single bread the cheese was burned- when I asked if they had lighter ones the lady putting the bread our rudely responds that's all we have- everyone seemed pissed off today for some reason. They present themselves as though they hate their jobs and like they've been working all day...but come on...it's only 8 am and there's only 3 orders! They NEVER put your drinks in a cup holder if you order multiple drinks and I would reach over to help myself to put it in a bag. As for the bread/pastries, they've gotten rid of a lot of good bread/pastries. Now they have only limited selection. Their restrooms are ALWAYS filthy. I've gone to a few 85 Bakery and this location is quite nice. Located in the heart of this hustle and bustle plaza. I went around 12 pm and they have all the breads fully stocked. There was quite a variety and some new flavors that I have never tired before. Wish they had the squid ink bun because I love that one. The store was nice and tidy and offers your bread, cakes, and also drinks. The gentleman named Felix who helped me at the POS while checking out was very nice. I had a question about Thai tea and he was able to answer my question by asking another co worker. He struck a conversation with me while I waited. It was a pleasant visit and I got what I wanted in and out quickly. read more

This location is in a very busy complex but the wait is never too long. Lots of different affordable pastries, cookies, cakes, and drinks. We had an issue that was taken care of by the manager, which I appreciate. I love the walnut raisin bread but when they're sold out, they don't make more, which is usually around dinner time. I love the mango coconut smoothie with little Konjac jelly but seasonal so not sure how long it'll be around. Inside is spacious and loud with customers, blenders, and hustle and bustle of a busy place. Tables are usually always available because most people don't tend to stay too long. HORRIBLE customer service!!! LUCY was the one who rang me up and she is just horrible. As she rings up my order, she asks me if I wanted to pay for a bag. It caught me off guard as bags or boxes were always a part of their service. So I say, so you charge for bags now? She says, "yeah, like any other store." First, saying yes would have answered my question, but she had to add "just like any other store." I feel that she is being intentionally confrontational with this statement. Although I did not say this, 85 is not like "any other store" in that it is not a grocery store or convenience store. It is a BAKERY. I have yet to encounter bakery that charges for bags. But even if it's just me that hasn't found one, that kind of comment is not necessary. Also, I carried all my pastries on the tray so as she rings me up, she removed some items from the tray and puts them on the counter. Understandable as she needs to be thorough in the charges. But after she rings me up and I pay, she just stands there. Half of the items on the counter and half on the tray. Doesn't move or say anything. She just stands there staring at me. Doesn't say Thank You or anything. Literally just stands there and stares at me. I felt that she was being confrontational and was almost challenging me to say something about the state of my pastries. I nearly demanded a refund of my $45!!!! Absolutely unbelievable. To add to this experience, I went to an open table while waiting for my drinks and the table was sticky and just gross. I understand that they have multiple responsibilities, but if you offer seating where you can eat and drink, the tables should be attended to frequently. It is not just a matter of customer service, it is also a matter of health safety. read more

I came with my girlfriend to pick up a few things for us and my family and the cashier rudely responded to me spending $35 dollars at this location with "damn someone must be really hungry " with the most smug look on her face. I was so taken aback that someone who works at a bakery, especially one I spend money on responded with such a smug condescending question. I understand you hate your job but at the very least be professional but I suppose that's what happens when the uneducated commoners get jobs. I'm a big fan of 85, but not this location. It's located is a super busy plaza so parking always takes me a while to find. The layout of the store is a complete mess where they have the line forming where the pastries are. I was unable to look at any of the pastries since there was a long line that wrapped around and it was crowded. There isn't much walkway space in front of the pastries either so it's really hard to look and grab. I came on Sunday afternoon. The service was okay. Given that there was a long line, we were helped at a decent time. I'm a big fan of their cakes and I love that they sell in slices! Their drinks are good, but overly sweet so I'll always get it a quarter sweet. If you're craving 85, do yourself a favor and go to another location. read more

bread always great. customer service from baristas was horrible. i asked about my mobile order drink that i waited 15-20 minutes past waiting and even when asking how long it would take, the guy told me they're still working on it and to wait. i started asking again once i saw a couple place an order on the screen and get their drinks 2 minutes later. i can accept that drinks take a while but once it hit 20 minutes for one drink and saw in store drinks getting made instantly, i asked another guy who found my cup that i saw them ignoring and made my drink in 5 seconds. however the drink was not good at all as it was overly sweet and too much cream and sweetness then coffee than it tastes just like syrup. will not come back to this location again :/ love the bread but dang the drink customer service sucks read more

To be honest, I hate writing bad reviews for places. But, this one honestly deserves it. I came here at 8:51 pm, they close at 9 pm. I understand closing early to clean up as I've worked at a fast food restaurant before but one of your team members locked the door in front of me as I was literally about to open the door. And then she tried opening it after she walked away, maybe because she realized what she had done. But that's honestly super unprofessional, without even saying a "sorry about that but we're closed." You should probably educate your team members on simple manners and customer service. read more

A mildly lackluster 85 location, it turned me off to this chain for awhile. It had your staple breads but some of them looked kind of old and they didn't have as many choices as other locations. Hokkaido pastries: Get! These were actually so delightful and had a really soft and creamy sweetness that was all around delicious Cream puff: Skip A follow up to the above, these were absolutely plain and quite inedible. It was a waste of calories not gunna lie and we threw them away Sea salt oolong: Meh I got 25% sweetness and usually places seem to add too much. This place, however, seemed to have forgotten to add it entirely lol. I got the Strawberry Matcha Latte, and it was honestly pretty good! First of all, I think the price is really fair for the size ($5.95). I tried the matcha by itself before mixing it with the strawberry, and it was okay! It's definitely not the kind of matcha flavor you would get from a cafe, but it was not watered down and still had a strong flavor. I think it pairs nicely with the strawberry. There was a lot of strawberry bits and flavor in the drink, and it kind of overpowered the matcha. I still enjoyed the drink on a hot day! read more
