Hello, I noticed a recent review by a woman named Corrine M. listing a 1 star review following her visit to the Cerritos location. I was also there during that day wanted to say that it wasn't at all how the situation unfolded; to clarify it was definitely busy and the 2 boys at the bar station were getting absolutely swamped by orders. It was understandable that they were behind and could not keep track of every drink being made. The lady, Corrine, however made a very big scene when she noticed that her drink was definitely missing. The boy in the colored shirt whom I assume is the manager apologized for the inconvenience and went to make the replacement drink right away. While he did this the lady started to use profane language and did in fact grab the tote bag to toss. The manager did politely ask that she not throw the bag as it is still merchandise. He promptly offered them a refund for their transaction and an apology for the inconvenience. Im obviously very nosy so I listened in on the entire thing. She WAS NOT accused of stealing but I do however think it was an overreaction. I hope this helps and for the record the 2 boys on the bar area handled their rush like 2 champions. read more

Its 85C, so I think most people know what to expect. I would rate this more of a 3.5 star but it's an average asian bakery with conveniently packaged breads and pastries, and pretty good drinks. I think compared to the traditional asian bakeries in 626 like Kee Wah, etc., the breads are much softer (a little on the overly soft side). One of my favorite asian breads, the bolo bao, is probably the worst here or at any 85C - the flakiness that's supposed to be the highlight of the bolo bao is not even close to where it needs to be at 85C. But I will say, the bun with the coffee filling inside is spectacular, and I would recommend it to anyone who loves coffee. At night, the selection of the breads is extremely limited, but the place is still popular due to the large variety of drink offerings. There is a lot of seating and the place is generally clean and well-lit. The parking lot is big but it's always busy and may be hard to find a spot unless you park further away sometimes. read more

Just had the worst experience in customer service at 85° Cerritos. I ordered both a Strawberry Banana smoothie and Strawberry Matcha Latte so that I could get the cat magnet. Per the promotion, you must order any two Strawberry drinks. They were behind in the drink orders, so I just waited patiently. But, then I noticed people who arrived after me were receiving their drinks. So, when I showed my receipt, not only was my Strawberry Banana smoothie order "lost" but another female customer walked off with/stole my Strawberry Matcha Latte. At this point, 15 minutes have passed and I wasn't offered an apology or compensation (free drink for the inconvenience). Naturally, I was angry and grabbed a display tote to show that I wanted a clean, brand new mini tote as compensation. Which I thought was fair because I didn't want to stand in line again to try and get a refund. Instead, I was accused of trying to "steal" a bag worth 2 cents. Just because I touched the bag. If you want to have your time wasted, drinks stolen and be accused of petty theft this place is for you! Note: Zero stars wasn't an option. I ordered a Vietnamese iced coffee, I will say the coffee itself was very strong staff later informed me that specific coffee had 6 shots of espresso which is why it was very strong and bitter. I decided to order a different drink and ordered a mango green tea instead :) and it was perfect! The place had enough seating to lounge and hang out. read more

Customer service is always nice. Mostly restocked and clean. Sold out of a lot of popular items such as a cheese dog croissant. Tables are available but dirty. Drink wait time today wasn't too bad for Sunday afternoon. I'm really enjoying the ice strawberry matcha latte and strawberry crème danish. I think this was my second or third visit and I came for an Almond Half-moon, Hokkaido Custard Bun, and Iced Passion Fruit Green Tea. It has been so long since I've been to this plaza for Gen, that 85°C Bakery Cafe was not even open yet! We were down the street at Canaan and we wanted to grab coffee (and bread). We saw the Brioche tray "fresh" from the kitchen so we decided to grab one. Even though this Brioche was "fresher" than the ones from the Tustin location, this one was dryer. The Tustin location was pretty bare bones in their bread offerings, barely any bread for customers to purchase as compared to this location where each tray was full. The lines to the counter were also very long. When another customer (with their family) came in, they were like "What, is coffee free?" I joked with them as well since it seemed like it, with the amount of customers lined up everywhere. Good thing I placed a kiosk order for my coffee first so that was ready before I even reached the counter, helped me save time. Kiosk Order: Brown Sugar Oat Latte (Medium, Hot) $5.75 Counter: Brioche $2.85 As I mentioned in my review for the Tustin location, I am very disappointed that 85°C makes their customers purchase bag(s) and box(es) for their bread and cakes. One can bring their own bags but if one was purchasing an entire box of bread to treat others, one does have to purchase a box, for presentation. This is not a supermarket. This is not to help the environment, this is greed, plain and simple. Bag(s) $0.10 Box(es) $0.15 I do love that their coffee was extremely hot - it was still hot by the time I arrived home around 35 minutes later. I dislike lukewarm coffee, especially lattes. For flavored lattes, I normally order them half sweet, but I forgot to check if I could do that through the kiosk. The Brown Sugar was a bit too sweet for me, but it was not overpowering and the Oat Milk was a nice balance. For the price and the size of the cup, it was most certainly reasonably priced. This location has many tables for customers to enjoy their drinks and goods. This location is one of the busiest I have been to in awhile, and I used to line up for over an hour when the Irvine location first opened up. I love many item from 85°, My usual location is the one in Irvine , but I was in the Cerritos area so decided to stop by . This one is big bakery, their have more tables than other locations. It's nice to hangout or waiting for the busy sushi place next door. :-) Everything was fresh . The cakes looked fabulous , in stock, and a great selection. I love the Pork Sung Bun , egg tarts , Coconut Rais Tart , Ube Bread , and my daughter like Spicy Sausage . This location in particular does not have the friendliest staff possible this store is too busy and not enough staff to work efficiently Parking at peak hours, is tricky but you'll get a spot with some patience ! read more

I love 85°C. The sea salt coffee slaps, the marble taro bread is a religious experience, and every pastry looks like it was styled by a K-drama food influencer. My BLT sandwiches taste like something an Iron Chef made with the chewiness of the toasted white bread they make. Five stars for the baked goods, easy. But sweet baby Jesus, the checkout line is where time goes to die. I have aged visibly waiting to pay for a single milk bun. I went in with a fresh Gen Z part in my hair and came out with a full-blown middle-aged dad side part. Scientists could study this line to solve dark matter--because somehow fifteen people ahead of me turns into a two-hour TED Talk about whose credit card has the least chipped corner. They move at the speed of a DMV on NyQuil. I watched a guy in front of me pay with a sack of coins, a handwritten check, and what I'm pretty sure was a Blockbuster membership card just to see if it still worked. The cashier didn't even blink. She's seen things. We've all seen things. The bread is worth it. My sanity? Negotiable. This 85 is probably one of the biggest ones I've been to. There is quite a bit of indoor seating, which is nice. I would say that the parking is always a hassle at this plaza. If you go during dinner rush, the best place would be to park closer to Aldi and just walk a bit. I don't typically stop by 85 too often, but when I do, I always get their Tiramisu Cheesecake. Personally, I think the Tiramisu Cheesecake is their best sliced cake; it is definitely one of my favorites there. I have yet to try a few of the other cakes, since I don't want to buy a whole cake for one person, but it is always tempting... A close second would be their opera cake (but I haven't seen this one in a while), or their coffee creme brûlée cake. For the other cakes, mostly the fruit ones, I've always gotten a dry slice, so I don't typically get those ones anymore. Along with cakes, there are other pastries and desserts that they serve. This location of 85C is nothing to write home about but all things considering it's pretty much a staple in the Cerritos community. The interior is really spacious with plenty of seating and it gets really packed at night time especially on the weekends with people hanging out. And of course for good reason because the 85C offers be priced teas and coffees, individual slices of cake as well as whole cake, and of course there's fresh bread. I recommend downloading the app if you want to accrue points and order ahead for pick up. Something new that they seem to have recently added is two kiosks to the right of the main entrance to order contact list. My favorite cakes from here are the tiramisu and chocolate mousse cake. Because 85 C is from Taiwan that you can rest assured that their sweets are truly not too sweet. read more

Our Go-To Bakery for Birthdays! We visited 85°C Bakery twice last month to celebrate two birthdays and ordered the Mango and Ube cakes. Both were delicious and had just the right amount of sweetness. If I had to choose between the two, I'd say the Ube cake was even more flavorful, but if you love fruity flavors, the Mango cake is a great option too! This location is always busy with lots of customers, so there's usually a long line. However, the wait wasn't too bad since the line moved quickly. 85 always makes solid drinks, I'm not a fan of their pastries but I come here for good drinks at a great price! I can still get a Large Peach Green Tea for 4.60. Boba shops normally charge close to 8.00. That's so much money, especially if you're a boba addict. They were one of the originals and they stand true to their formula. They have awesome pastries , and great selection of drinks , but ..... some items you ask staff if they can warmed it up, and they don't have or don't want to warm any of your items , then , I got a mousse and no spoons available , then staff forgot one of my items and long wait .... This is my go to bakery due to their baked goods. They have thee best pastries due to the consistency of their products. Now, regarding their drinks it's hit or miss! From the coffee's to their matcha drinks...either too sweet, no flavor or good! The last two occasions have been a thumbs down. I reported an incident to corporate and their response was simply...sorry, we will investigate the preparation practice.
