    Pancit malabon
    Eunice P.

This is a small to go establishment. No seating. I think the pastries are affordable. There wasn't much pricing everywhere so I bought w/out truly knowing. I got the turón which was good. I got pancit malabon which was probably the expensive item but it's super packed so basically two meals in one. Garlicky, crunchy w/ cabbage and onion. Lots of stuff inside. I liked it. I tried the Nutella and cream cheese but the bread was too dry for me and very little filling. I like generous amounts of filling to bread like 1:1 ratio. This was a thin layer baked inside that I could just get a hint of Nutella, but there was a glob of cream cheese I guess got pushed during baking onto one end which was enjoyable. Also tried the ensaymada macapuno. Good flavor but again, on the dry side. The lady was friendly inside. Lots of options in here but mostly in bulk so more than 1 item sold together. Like multiples packed together or a big portion.

My brother brought home Valerios empanadas. He said the larger ones are beef and the smaller ones are chicken. I chose a beef empanada. This is NOT beef at all. It's chicken.

From the gold and white décor to the soft jazz playing throughout the café, the entire space feels elegant, peaceful, and welcoming. One thing I really enjoyed was the self-serve bakery experience. You grab a tray when you walk in and choose from a selection of fresh pastries, breads, croissants, cookies, macarons, cakes, pies, tarts, and so much more. There truly is something for everyone. I ordered the Honey Lavender Matcha and a chocolate muffin and spent about 11bucks. Let me just say, both were excellent. The matcha was perfectly balanced with earthy matcha, honey, and lavender without being overly sweet. The chocolate muffin was soft, moist, and filled with a rich chocolate center that made every bite even better. I also appreciated the attention to cleanliness and presentation. Many of the fresh bakery items were individually wrapped and sealed, while others were beautifully displayed behind glass, giving the café a polished and upscale feel. What really stood out to me was the value. I spent less here than I had at another coffee shop earlier that week, yet left feeling like I received so much more. The quality, atmosphere, food, and overall experience made it feel like money well spent. Whether you're looking for a place to study, work remotely, enjoy a coffee date, meet a friend, or simply treat yourself, Tous Les Jours is absolutely worth a visit. I'll definitely be back to try more from their bakery because there were far too many delicious options to choose from in just one visit.

The sponge is incredibly soft, and the mascarpone cream is light, airy, and not overly sweet, making every bite feel perfectly balanced. The fresh strawberries add just the right amount of sweetness and a slight tartness that complements the delicate cream beautifully. This isn't one of those heavy, overly rich cakes that leave you feeling full after a slice. It's so light and refreshing that it's hard to stop at just one piece. I chose this cake for my birthday, and it was the perfect celebration cake. If you enjoy desserts that are elegant, fluffy, and just sweet enough, I highly recommend giving this one a try. I'll definitely be ordering it again!

I've always loved walking in there, inhaling the oven-fresh aromas like a FIEND, ever since I was in grade school-- I'll turn 51 in a few days. You have ONE slice of their special occasion shortcakes (strawberry, mango, and I think one more variety), and you instantly become a new customer--this has been their calling card for DECADES, and they EXPONENTIALLY grow their clientele with each cake sold (potentially a new customer per slice). Their customers are SO loyal that--as far as I can tell--Honey Bakery isn't even on social media--word-of-mouth, even in 2026, is all that's needed--their baked goods speak for themselves. I highly-recommend their MILK BREAD (you'll be willing to make a special trip here, SOLELY to pick up a bag or two)--if you're a bread-lover, you'll find their freshly+baked loaves to smell intoxicating, and let's see if you can stop yourself from snacking on JUST one slice, right out of the bag....they're REALLY addictive. They come THICK- and THIN-SLICED, but thick especially sells out quickly by mid-morning, so CALL AHEAD & RESERVE your order. Every time I've gotten a pastry from here in the last 5-8 years they have slowly gotten more and more dense lol. I only ate one pastry, but this pastry had maybe 100 solid layers and I feel like I just stuffed my self at KBBQ... I miss old soft pastry. I used to love their pork sung pastry too, but now it's a pork sung dense bread with a pastry blanket on top. This is a mom and pop shop so I feel like they either hired a new baker or one took over and has a taste for very dense bread and textures... honestly texture is not bad, but way too filling and heavy for me.

I've been coming to Pampanga's Bakery in Artesia for a while now, and it's long overdue that I actually give them their flowers. If you are looking for authentic, comforting Filipino baked goods and kakanin, this is the gold standard. Every time I walk in, the shelves are loaded with staples. Their selection of kakanin is also massive. The **Puto Assorted** and **Puto & Kutsinta** packs ($3.90) are always perfectly soft, vibrant, and fresh, and they have massive trays of **Biko Pandan** and **Cassava Cake** if you're feeding a crowd. For the savory side, the **Chicken Empanadas** and **Fried Lumpia** always hit the spot. And of course, there's the **Turon**. Yes, the price has risen to $1.05 a piece, but honestly? It's just modern economics, and it is still worth every single penny. It is still the absolute best of the best--shattered-crisp, perfectly caramelized on the outside, and packed right. The staff is always fast, the bakery smells like heaven, and the quality has stayed incredibly consistent over the years. Don't be like me and gatekeep it...if you haven't been, stop by!

One thing they have always been consistent about is the quality of their turon--and unfortunately, the long wait times as well. There have been several occasions when we had to pay and come back later because of the high demand for their product. Because we live about 30 miles away, we were advised to place our orders by phone before making the trip, which is exactly what we've been doing. Yesterday, however, we experienced one of the most inefficient customer service experiences we've ever had. We called multiple times to confirm our order, and the staff who answered assured us not to worry because they had plenty available and that our order would be ready when we arrived. When we got there, the exact opposite happened. We were told they had run out of turon and that we would need to wait another hour. While discussing the situation with the cashier, we watched another staff member assist the customer behind us, who purchased 60 pieces. We had preordered only 30 pieces, yet somehow they were able to fulfill that larger order while failing to honor ours. Poor customer service will eventually drive customers away. Yes, the product is excellent, but there will come a time when the product alone is no longer enough to keep customers coming back. Given the popularity of their business, they should be focusing on improving their customer service and honoring preorders to maintain customer loyalty. Good products attract customers, but good service keeps them.
