Time and time again 85c does not disappoint. Pastries are always good and drinks are addicting. This location has recently added new furniture which makes the place feel more modern than before. If you're like me and prefers their sweets not to be super sweet this is the place for you. They have a variety of pastries to choose from it is self served and they also have a display case with cakes, cake slices, and other yummy treats. I love bringing friends and family here for them to pick and try new flavors of pastries and drinks. The cashiers are always helpful and are quick at making drinks! The place tends to get busy but we never find ourselves waiting long due to the promptness of their service. I love their sea salt caramel iced coffee and their frozen marble taro. They offer milk alternatives and you can customize the level of sweetness. I recommend a slice of their blueberry cheesecake and their mixed berry tart. read more

I have been to many 85 degrees locations and I go to this one quite often. It is located in a shopping center with other shops and restaurants, so the parking can get hectic. There is a very busy gen kbbq next door and on the other side is a busy acai bowl place too. love the sea salt coffee, the milk teas, and even the hot coffees are yumm!!! I enjoy their selection of different breads, my favorite being the milk pudding bread! This place can get busy in the evenings or early mornings! When people come here they take loads of bread home, so certain ones may run out! If they run out they will not restock them right away or not at all, because they have to make them. There is seating inside, some tables, and some booths! It can get loud and busy inside. read more

This location actually is quite big. Layout is similar to other 85 degree bakeries, with the breads on the right, cash register in the front, and drink pick-up on the left. They have a good selection of breads, although some of my favorites were not found (e.g., taiwanese boroh bread). The drinks here are good, as is expected here! They have a huge selection of cakes/cake slices so perfect to pick something up here for a birthday. Only drawbacks are 1) parking can be hard to find in this busy plaza, and 2) Lines to purchase items can be long, take a while compared to other locations. read more

12/20/22 I should be rating it a 4 * mainly for its convenience & expedited service today! The cake I chose on the other hand.... Hubby & I were in a great big hurry while in Cerritos dropping off my aunts on the way to Cypress to my brother's house. It was an impromptu get together since my cousin from Texas was visiting with her kids. I couldn't think of any place that would be a quick stop to grab something to eat. They have it covered with main dishes so I opted for a dessert. 85 degrees came to mind....but was it going to be quick? Got lucky as we drove up, I saw that there was hardly any one waiting to be served. Made a bee line towards the cashier & ordered a cake. Chose the strawberry & chocolate cake. I was done in no time!! Wow, that was the quickest transaction made at 85 degrees ever! The cake was a 3/5, not too sweet but it wasn't as moist as I would've liked it. Looking back, maybe I should've opted to go with the chocolate mousse cake which is always a crowd pleaser. I just thought I'd mix it up a bit & be different for once. This place has 2 different lines. There is 1 for boba that is self order and other is the line for the bakery. There is plenty of bakery items to try. I really like the mango, blueberry, and cheese bread. They were about $3.50-$5. I got the sea salt coffee which more black and bitter than sweet and creamy. I do like how it doesn't require milk especially for those that are lactose intolerant. This place is more of gathering vs studying. It's pretty loud and not a lot of seating. Their options for coffee were also something worth noting too. We ordered an iced 85 Degree coffee. This is their traditional, signature drink made with cream and sugar. This drink is nicely balanced with espresso and provides a sweeter flavor due to their sweet cream. This drink resembles the taste of a Vietnamese coffee. We also ordered their iced Vanilla latte with oat milk. This drink provides an authentic "coffee shop" flavor that feels comforting with every sip. These drinks are on the sweeter end. However, as sweet as the drinks are, the espresso balances the drink well. We also ordered their iced Oolong milk tea. Unfortunately this drink is not worth trying at all. Danny loves oolong milk tea, but this drink is not at all enjoyable. It was too sweet and extremely artificial. Will not attempt this drink again. 85°C Bakery Cafe's pastries options are expansive with so many options and delicious flavors. Our favorite is the Milk Cream Bread! I always stop by here after Gen kbbq. Their breads are yummy and the price is fair. Their cold dessert section is amazing to look at. The few cakes I have purchase all turned out pretty good. Service is lacking. Slow registers and if I ask someone to check on any missing breads, they just tell me what's out is out. I love 85! It consistently cranks out delicious pastries, drinks, and cakes. As an Asian, 85 degrees has gotten the highest praise possible from my parents and aunts/uncles--it's not too sweet. Which I totally agree with! Once you go here enough, you will start to develop a list of your own favorites. My personal favorites are the hot dog bun, choco bun, choco cream cheese, and taro bun. I've tried every pastry and honestly everything is good! Of the cakes, I love Black Forest, any of the crime brûlée ones, and strawberry chocolates. All the cakes are beautiful and can be personalized with a little happy birthday chocolate plaque. They even provide candles and a nice cardboard travel box for the cake. I have gone here a number of times I think that the selection of desert items is pretty compelling although later in the evening after they stop putting out new items the selection starts becoming more limited. Their drink menu though is a bit limited compared to dedicated tea shops although I feel that the quality is fairly consistent. The drink prices tend to be fairly competitive and their app does have fairly decent promotions every month like a buy one get one free drink or 50% off a cheesecake slice. I think one thing I find a bit annoying is that this location is a bit loud. There is a bit of indoor seating, but it is rather limited in the corner. Compared to some 85C locations the seating feels limited. The staff is pretty attentive though and are usually pretty good about moving the line, which can sometimes get a bit long during busier times of the day. read more

85* is always a hit or miss for me. When I arrived and the parking lot was very full, we had to park near Aldi in a different lot. When we arrived to 85* it was very packed but the line moved fast. Inside you have a huge selection of pastries to choose from. The inside is very loud so I don't recommend it if you want to do some work in here. What I got: White Chocolate Strawberry bread: Is was so yummy! I believe it is a limited time special since strawberries in season. The filling had a nice sweetness to it which wasn't too sweet and had a perfect balance from the tartness of a strawberry. Thai Tea: This is where I ran into some issues, I usually get the bottled Thai tea but I assume they only have a limited amount for the day and they were out when I got there so I had to get the Thai tea in a cup, unfortunately it did not taste the same and it just taste like milk tea with a hint of Thai tea. I wouldn't get it again next time around. White Chocolate Strawberry Pudding: It was absolutely delicious, it was so creamy and had a nice balance of sweetness. She ask did I needed candles I respectfully declined. She brought the box out and I assume everything was good without checking. Place is clean and adequately stocked with a nice variety of pastries. We also ordered drinks which were done to perfection. Customers were flying in and out. Service was fast and friendly. Few free tables indoors. We were comfortable, seated in front of the barista station. Initially, I was bummed because at first sight I thought there was no restroom, but it's hidden around the corner and clean. My impression is that this is a fairly new location? This 85°C Bakery is pretty big compared to some of the other 85° bakeries. This was my first time visiting this location and although they were enforcing social distancing and allowing 10 people at a time inside, there was a steady flow of people coming in and out. Inside has signs to follow 1 direction to ensure safe social distancing and markings on the ground to keep 6ft away from others. People followed the rules and everyone seems to not have any issues with following the rules. Staff is really polite and they all seem to be wearing masks/gloves. Lately when we have visited other 85° bakeries they haven't been well stocked with goodies, but at this one they have tons of fresh bread and they were well stocked. We went during Mother's Day weekend so that could be the reason they were really on top of their game too. We ordered our usual favorites and took home some of their bottled drinks as well as some yummy milk tea boba. If you're in the area, you should definitely make a stop for some delicious bread. read more

This review is overdue as I've been coming to this 85 degrees location for years, probably since this one opened. This place is great for picking up a variety of sweets, pastries, coffee, and boba all in one go. I usually frequent here because I buy at least 3 boxes worth of different pastries for my office every month. The issue I'm experiencing is the customer service: the employees look so unhappy, miserable, and disconnected and it seems to be getting worse. I encountered a gentleman who was working the register one morning with zero regard for courtesy. The line was relatively short. I walked up with my trays of pastries and I said, "good morning!" He responded, "Box? Box?, Booooox?!". I must have been giving him a stare of disbelief of on how rude he was where he couldn't even say "good morning" back. I finally said, "yes! Box!". Some issues with this bakery that is good in general with the bread they produce. However the Spinach square pastry does not have any layer at all. I am from France so I know how a pastry bread should taste like. It only has the resemblance of layers but when you bite into it the dough does not have any layers at all and taste like a cheap bread product. Just take a look at the photo.
