    Iced Vietnamese coffee
    Tanya M.

I finally came to try the viral Iced Vietnamese coffee with sea salt foam drink and it did not disappoint. As you walk in you are met with a wonderful array of pastries and treats to choose from along with tons of drinks and smoothies, coffees and teas too. Cashiers are nice and quick. Waiting for our drink did not take too long. They have some tables to chill but it could get packed on busy days.

Vietnamese coffee, in my opinion, should be strong, bold, and sweet, and I was pleasantly surprised that 85° Bakery delivered exactly that. While we were there, we spoke with another customer who also ordered the Vietnamese coffee. She asked for 125% sugar because she found the "regular" sweetness to be too bitter, but I have to disagree. I ordered mine at the regular sweetness level, and it was already plenty sweet with definitely no extra sugar needed in my opinion. In fact, it might even be borderline too sweet for some people, but since I enjoy sweeter drinks, it worked perfectly for me. One thing to note is that you cannot adjust the ice level for this drink. I did not understand why at first, but it makes sense now because even after the ice melts, the coffee remains strong and the flavor stays rich and sweet. Overall, it is a solid and well balanced coffee. That said, I still really enjoy 85° Bakery's sea salt coffee drinks as well. I'm happy that I've found another coffee option that I enjoy from this bakery.

Omg, I don't know this is seasonal!!!!! It's a hit. It's giving crab dip taste and eat with chips. This sandwich is cut into 2 but you can cut into 4 pieces the bread is thick so u can share. It's a little rich so go easy but go get it! I go here offer so the crew is always nice and up beat

I love 85 Bakery. I come here at least once a week for their pastries or iced strawberry matcha drink. This location is located in Park and Shop next to plenty of restaurants. There is always plenty of parking and if you drive an EV, there is an EVgo charging station directly across the bakery. They have a variety of baked goodness and it changes every visit. My favorite is the Hokkaido custard bun and the potato croquettes. My go-to drinks are the strawberry matcha and anything I can customize sugar free. Everything is reasonably priced as well. The lines aren't so bad now that the hype has died down and the wait for our drinks never takes that long. Overall, the service is excellent and the employees there are very friendly. They do have tables and seats in case you feel like dining in, but most of the customers that do go there are in and out. There is also a bathroom for customers as well. 85 never disappoints.

Amazing service, as always. I ordered the promotional drink (which I completely forgot to take photos of!), and it was delicious. I absolutely love the mango cake here--especially since I was able to redeem it using my rewards. If you didn't know, they have a great rewards program where you can earn free drinks or food, which is such a nice bonus. The Christmas tree was beautiful and added such a cozy, festive touch to the space. Overall, this location feels incredibly warm and inviting, making it a place I always enjoy coming back to.

Great bakery to come to if you like pastries and drinks that aren't too sweet. There's a wide selection to choose from. There's a self serve kiosk for drinks which is a nice option. I ordered the strawberry matcha drink, a summer edition. However I wasn't a big fan of it because it wasn't sweet. Just a personal preference. The pastries are nice and fresh, but also aren't too sweet. It's a grab and go type of bakery. So service depends mostly on yourself lol. Once you have all your items, you pay up front with a cashier. It's small but theres some indoor seating available. You can expect a loud ambiance.

I don't normally do reviews on what I would consider chain restaurants but sometimes they are just too good. You want a delicious treat and an awesome over the top coffee drink... well 85 is your spot. They are always clean, fast and consistent and if that's what your looking for this is your spit for sure.

I was really unimpressed by 85°C bakery on Willow Pass Road. I love the one in Dublin and so I was excited to see this one, but there were a couple missteps for one thing they just didn't seem to have the pastry selection like everything seemed to have meat in it if it were savory the other thing was, I ordered a large decaf coffee and asked for cream and they said I had to pay extra for half-and-half $.50 and then when I got my coffee, it was cold! They said only if you order a medium, is it hot and I just think he should've told me that because who would put half-and-half in their cold coffee? I don't know. I just was very unimpressed with everything there. The ambience was not so great either because the aisle that you walk in to get your selection is really small and they didn't have any liners or tongs. I'll stick with the one in Dublin.

Upon entering the store I realized the line starts from the other entrance. I'm not buying bread this evening so I looked to for the kiosk to order drinks only. The store should move the kiosk machine to somewhere accessible and not within the line area. Customers who only want to order drinks won't have to wait in the main line just to access the kiosk. I ordered strawberry freeze and iced milk green tea. I didn't wait too long for my drinks. The space is well lit in the evening. Staffs are friendly.

Stopped by to get a little dessert for 6 month old smashing purposes. Inside is spacious and there's so many options. It was a bit overwhelming and I suddenly wanted to try everything. The mango cream roll was a tasty 7/10 at $9.80, and the strawberry cream square was also a 7/10 at $5.15. Both cakes tasted very fresh and fluffy. They were not dense at all! This was the baby's first time having any sweets or solid period, and he loved it and no one felt bad for letting him taste it. I'll definitely return to try other options when in the area.

Hello, no we do not, but you can see our savory bread options on our online menu here! https://www.85cbakerycafe.com/menu/?menu_category=bread

    Is there free wifi here?

Unfortunately, there isn't. We will pass this along as a request to consider. Thanks for your understanding.

Can you place an order online for pic up or phone order?…

I don't think you could order online or place an order.

When did this location open? I wish they would open one out here in Antioch or Brentwood. I miss Asian bakeries so much!

I think they opened in April. I agree, I'd love for them to open one in Brentwood.

    Are there any vegan options?

Besides some drinks, no. Almost all of their baked goods state they contain butter, milk and/or eggs. Anything that does not list those, still lists milk as a allergen for the product, which could mean the margarine they use also contains dairy.

    Is there outdoor seating?

No outdoor seating but indoor seating is back.

How can we order a birthday cake without phone number?

Sorry, I do not know the answer. Yelp would have the Concord branch's phone number and you could call

You will not be disappointed. My wife and son are dessert snobs. Both have been to Paris and say France has the best pastries. But wait, they just came back from Alpine, and what did they say???? I called in today to see if they could decorate a faux cake for me. Not only was she rude, but she told me she would charge me AS MUCH AS SHE WOULD for a real cake. You mean to tell me it would cost me $100 plus to decorate a piece of Styrofoam? And then, when I told her the shape of the Styrofoam, she flat out said no. As if the shape of the Styrofoam changes the action? And I'm not a baker, at least not a professional one, but something feels off about what feels like the refusal to help me. And it's not like I am looking for free service, I'm willing to pay, but I'm not willing to pay cake prices for icing on Styrofoam. Saying no, as a business is OK, I'm all for it. But customer service needs a serious rebranding. I have never had a good in person/over the phone experience. Their food speaks for itself, but the customer service skills really takes away the value of a local business that has been around for years. I hope whoever I spoke on the phone with has a better day

The location is easy to get to, with lots of parking behind in a lot, and it's very clean, with lots of chairs and tables; yet all were filled this Saturday evening, which is a good sign. There are too many pastries, treats, and drinks to even cover, and we spent a few minutes trying to find our choices, which you mainly pick from cabinets using a self-serve tray and tongs. For drinks and cake (whole or sliced), you order those at the counter. We decided on some pastries, some cake slices, and a drink. And S'mores was the predominant theme today. We ordered a raspberry fruit bite, 2 chocolate supreme croissants, 2 S'mores Belgian waffles, a sugar mochi donut, a coffee donut croissant, 2 slices of S'mores chocolate marshmallow cake, and a slice of rainbow cake. We also got the cream cheese puff and the crème brûlée bombolone ... quite the name! And, of course, a S'mores frappe! The server helping us at the register was polite and efficient, but there was only one register open and a long line. As such, other folks were helping gather the goodies from the cake case, and as we were taking these to go, we did not realize until we were home that the rainbow cake was not a rainbow cake, but a THIRD slice of S'mores cake. Ugh. That one was chosen by the 8-year-old, who was understandably not happy, and the additional insult of paying extra (above the cost of the S'mores) for a cake we didn't get made ME unhappy too! Paid $8.29, got a $6.99 cake slice. The pastries are generally good, with some very good and some more of a "meh." Among the best were the raspberry fruit bite and the coffee donut croissant. That coffee one was a surprise, as it had a soft liquid filling we didn't realize when buying, and the taste was very coffee, which I loved. Will get that again for sure. The S'mores chocolate supreme croissant was also popular. The crème brûlée bombolone was different, with a light pastry and a filling different from what I usually find in crème puffs, and it was tasty. The waffles were not a light and airy as we would have liked, but the flavor was good. The mochi donut was a bit dry as well, not up to true Japanese bakery standards, and the cream cheese puff was all puff and short on the cream cheese (see photos). And the S'more cake was good for flavor, very rich and S'morey, but the presentation really is lacking. Not that I normally compare one chain to another, but for example, when we get Crumbl, the product is very close to the advertising. Not so with the S'more cake, and I am not even sure all the layers were there and in the proper order or proportion; check out the photos and see what I mean. However, the flavor was spot on, and that is the ultimate goal, although the "eyes eat first," as we Yelpers know! And the highlight was not a pastry or cake, but the S'more frappe. It was layered beautifully, fresh-tasting, and very S'morey (yes, a new word I now love!). We even got a second, as we had to eat this there so it could be shared by the group, and it was calling us! Definitely hope it is available next visit, and Starbucks could take a lesson in quality versus price point. Some of the pastries here are really not worth the cost for the product (would skip the cream cheese puff, for example, and the mochi donut), but everything else was very good. Other than an error in fulfilling the order correctly and a couple a poor pastries (quality), it was a good first visit, and we all would come back when near a location.

They sell Mitchell's ice cream from San Francisco and offered a variety of flavors.
