It's a One Way In - One Way Out establishment. Trays to place your merch on are usually to the right of you as soon as you walk in. Snake your way through all the goodies and you'll find the line. Kindly be careful as it gets kinda squishy in line. We went a few days ago and I saw some guy drop four cases of this coconut dessert off the shelf bc he knocked it over with his full tray while he was in line. Service has always been great. Not sure what others have experienced it we've never had a bored or dying worker. I love their Garlic Cheese Bread, Cheesey Hot Dog Bread, and also decided to try out their Feta Spinach Danish for breakfast tomorrow. I give the first two 5/5. For December, I also received a $1 off coupon for a Medium Salted Cheese Matcha Latte for being their 85 degrees Rewards Member. This is originally the reason why I stopped by. Bakery selections are good, I would avoid weekends if possible due to long lines. it happens frequently at this location and I don't really see this at any other locations like Dublin or San Leandro or Daly city, but the Concord location often has patrons in the dining area with food outside of the 85 Degree café food. Today, I saw a group of people eating, Starbucks, pastries, cake, pop, and drink drinks with no purchases from the establishment for taking up about a third of the dining space. They also have a large selection of drinks, iced or hot coffees, smoothies, etc and they do offer monthly/seasonal specials on buns or drinks. They have promo deals on their app but the app reviews are really bad, lots of reports of the app not being functional. On to the good stuff - I love love love their egg tarts, regular and mochi. They sell them in a 2 pack, with a cute packaged box, or you can buy a box of 12. The mochi egg tarts might not be everybody's jam because their filling has a slight gooeyness from the mochi. After fridging it, the mochi part does have more of a chew. I love both egg tart options and can't really choose which I like more. Other must try buns - Berry Tale - a berry cream cheese filled bun! SO SO GOOD! The filling to bread ratio is perfect! White Chocolate Strawberry bun- The outside has a strawberry crunch type of topping, but neither topping or filling stood out. Pretty basic, and this was a pass Hokkaido Cream Bun - The filling in this is so delicious! It's good at room temp but damn is this thing good warmed up! This place can get crowded pretty fast. When you come in, hit that right and grab a tray/tongs so you can choose all your buns! They have a selection of cake slices and cakes as well for purchase. Once you make it around, there will be a couple registers where they'll ring you up and bag your treats. There are a couple places to sit, but this is more of a grab and go spot. read more

We had gotten lunch in the strip mall where this bakery is located, so stopped by to take a look. I really enjoyed the Hokkaido milk bun and the mochi egg tarts I picked up here. The milk bun was very light and creamy, and the egg tart had a very flakey crust. I think this is better than Paris Baguette (for the 2 items i tried at least). Since this is the only 85c in the area, I have no choice. Store supposedly opens at 8am. Come in at 9am and 3/4 of the shelves are still empty. Cashier says it's because of short staffing, but there are easily 8 employees working today. 1 cashier, 2 filling the shelves with the boxed pastries and the rest in the back baking or whatever. Always been a fan of 85 but was especially happy when they opened this one up in Concord! Always drop by whenever i'm in the area. Today i grabbed a few classics and new buns. The milk tea bun is a personal favorite of mine. It has milk tea flavored cream with pearls inside. The brioche has a really texture to it very pleasant flavor too. Most people tend to usually get the classics such as pineapple buns, custard tarts, and other dessert items. The best part about 85, if you haven't had the chances to try it before, is the variety of bread you can find! From sweet to savory, you have so many different options to choose from. They also have many unique flavor combinations making for a nice new treat every time! Service wise it's pretty good, they get busy a lot of the times so there will be small lines but you can expect to check out within 5-10 minutes. The staff is super friendly they will check to see if they have breads in the bakery if not present in the front. They also help you with any questions or concerns you may have. Because it is so busy it does get packed inside pretty often. The inside is pretty loud as the bakery is out in the open and a lot of customers also shuffle around to find their breads. Many people also wait inside for their drink orders so it gets pretty loud and packed most times. Overall if you haven't tried 85 before heavily recommend! Mango crème brûlée cake (whole cake) was disappointing for the price. Cake layers were dry and the cream layers were the only saving grace. Mango mousse is artificially flavored and chopped mangoes on top were a mixture of ripe and green sour mangoes. The green mangoes were obviously not ripe as they were hard and crunchy, so unless they were cut by a machine the person who cut them was either oblivious or didn't care. This is usually our dessert stop after having dinner in this local strip mall. We typically get some combination of the mango cake (slice), egg tarts, or anything with ube in it. Great addition to Concord! Although I have been baking my own bread and buns since the beginning of the pandemic, I still crave baked goods from 85C every now and then. It is great that I now don't have to drive a long way to get them. This location is conveniently situated in the Park 'N' Shop, not far from downtown. Parking is always ample. Make sure you don't keep valuables inside your vehicle since break-ins do happen from time to time. I have been here several times since they opened and have never left disappointed. The store is always clean, organized, and well stocked. The staff are always courteous and friendly. One negative about this place is they close at 6 pm. Who closes at 6 pm? Having visited many other 85C locations, I must say this is one of the better ones. Hopefully they can keep up with the good work. 4 stars. read more

My wife have been to a few locations over the years and this weekend I stopped by the Concord location for the first time. My sister in law was in town visiting and it was her birthday, so my wife called in a Tiramisu cake to share for dessert. First off, the location is in a big strip mall area with lots of parking and the store is very spacious inside. The selection of pastries, smaller sliced bread options and drinks is extensive. They are very busy inside yet manage to keep the line moving quickly with only two tellers at checkout. Michelle helped me at the counter and she was SO helpful and nice about getting extras for the cake. My wife asked me to grab a candle if possible, so I asked Michelle if I they had any available. Michelle asked me if I wanted a chocolate Happy Birthday sign to go on top as well. I said sure and much to my surprise the candles and chocolate sign were free! Michelle made the experience very nice and it was definitely the best experience I've ever had at a 85C location. The cake was a big hit, great flavor and decorated macarons and other chocolate pieces on top. I also picked up a small loaf of sliced milk bread and it also is delicious. We recently moved to Concord so we will be coming back to this location for sure.
