We stopped by today since we were at Main Street Cupertino. They were fully stocked with a variety of pastries. We purchase the berrytale cake, coconut custard sponge roll and walnut cinnamon roll. I also ordered a red grapefruit green tea, which was ice cold and delicious. The line to check out was not too bad and moved quickly. My drink was ready in a few minutes. We really loved their pastries and grapefruit green tea. Prices are very reasonable and everything is clean and organized inside. They also have excellent customer service.

My family loves 85° bakery... We always stop at the one in Santa Clarita when visiting family. Since I was in Cupertino and came across this one, of course I had to grab some for my parents. They didn't have some of the options that I would normally grab for them but I was still able to get some good choices. It was a cold day out but man, not cold enough for how much they had the heat blasting in there... it was very warm. Idk if that had anything to do with how sluggish the staff was? but, man, they had one guy working the register for a long minute and he was a slow one... the line got way longer than it should have had he been a bit quicker or working with haste (seems to be the norm with "kids" working these days). It wasn't until I finally got to the front of the line that another girl finally came and opened up a second register. Oh, also-- there were a lot of people waiting for drink orders as well... even if I wanted to order a drink, I definitely wouldn't have after seeing that and knowing how slowly they were working behind the counter. Like Philz-- same area, same nice ambience. Staff was meh, bakery items were good, did it's job (didn't snap a photo of my picks). I've gotta say, I like Santa Clarita better... sorry. 2 stars because the bakery items deserve some points.

On my way to work, I stopped by this bakery to purchase a box of egg custard tarts to bring to the office. The tarts were freshly baked, and you could still see the condensation from the steam on the upper lid of the box. Overall, the coworkers seemed to thoroughly enjoy the tarts. There were a few comments though, like the crust was a bit too flaky, and the tart itself was over-baked, resulting in a dry texture to the custard. Aside from those factors, the tart was not overly sweet and paired well with a cup of coffee. The lines here are always long, and they would benefit from having more employees at the cash registers. This is a fairly good bakery, if you're looking for pastries that are baked fresh, on the same day.

85°C Bakery is located in Main Street Cupertino Plaza with Meet Fresh, SomiSomi, Pelican Chicken, Alexander's Steak House, etc. Fresh baked pastries and bread coming out on a scheduled time throughout the day.

This location is also pretty big not as nice as another location but Main Street Cupertino is so dope everything is here in one location. I wanna live here lol. They had all the yummy treats I normally get which is more than I can say for other locations. This one did not disappoint in selection and service.

85C at Cupertino is a local favorite. There are a lot of freshly baked options and the store is always packed with people. The ambience is nice as well. There are not many seats but in general parking is easy in the area.

Love 85 and all of their special discounts! If you have their app and are a rewards member, they tend to have 50% off drink specials every month! It's a perfect place to get a refreshing drink or boba without having to pay the premium price everywhere else

Satisfied spot. Never a disappointment here. Not sure what happened to my previous review on Yelp, but this Cupertino location still has great customer service in a very walkable part of town. I am never in a rush or waiting in long lines here. Breads/pastries/cakes/beverages are all well organized, especially the displays which are filled with inventory today. Staffs are helpful and friendly if you get a chance to talk to them. I love this location very much as it is convenient. It was clean inside and the store looks great. I still ordered my favorite $4.90 medium iced tiger boba latte from the kiosk. Their huge windows are perfect for looking outside at other shops and restaurants nearby. Good natural lighting. Got my order within 2-3 minutes even with one other customer ahead of me. It's one of those places that keeps me coming back because there are no hassles or problems here. No seats/tables inside though. You can sit outdoors. If you want less drama or shorter lines, this location could be an option.

I came by around 10am on a Saturday morning. Parking wasn't too bad and the shop wasn't heavily crowded. Interior is well lit and airy. I was happy to see the bread shelves full since I'd previously come to scarce, empty shelves before. That said, I did notice multiple sections were just repeats of the same bread flavors. I've been hunting for the squid ink cheese buns that used to be $1 but I haven't seen that in a long time. Not sure if they're no longer offered at all? The Hokkaido milk loaf is tasty. Seems like there's a coconut-y crusted bottom. Matcha cream bun was okay. Cream was a decent amount to bun ratio. Taro mochi bun was pretty good. The mochi texture was soft and gooey against the light flakey bread.

Ordered the sea salt coffee. It was delicious. The service was quick and friendly. They also have a kiosk to order drinks and pay.

We bought Berry Tale pastry and brought it home and it was completely raw in the middle - nasty ! And they don't answer their phone to complain

    Sheila J.

What's not to like, fluffy Asian desserts for cheap. The sea salt coffee is really good don't need to add sugar. The best dessert is the taro marble bread loaf but it sells out fast. There's parking in the parking structure across the way. To get a whole cake for your birthday you can order it online ahead of time for pickup. The Ube cake is the best.

This location is relatively spacious inside. There is seating outside. I can find parking in the parking lot area on the west side when I go early in the morning. There appears to be a restroom, accessible around the corner, to the left of the register/counter ; I haven't used them so cannot comment on them. I like many of the drinks here and their Matcha Chocolate Bun is my favorite, delicious when warm. However, if you're ordering a cake ... Allow extra time for whole cakes to thaw and time your cake purchase accordingly. I picked up the Matcha Creme Brulee cake at 11am, where it was transported in the car for 40 minutes, and then placed in the refrigerator for about an hour before serving. The center of the cake was still a bit frozen. This would explain what we felt while slicing the cake, it was the icy center. I would recommend picking up a cake in the morning for consumption later in the day or evening. And picking up a cake the day before, if it is for next day mid-day consumption, so that it has time to thaw overnight. You can receive monthly offers when you install their mobile app.

    Any gluten-free desserts?

We have many gluten free drinks but nothing at our bakery is certified gluten free.

When is the best time to pick up egg tarts hot ? I had 2 egg tarts today and it was still warm, and it was the best tasting egg tarts I had in a while. I wish I had purchased a dozen! Can you reduce the sugar in the recipe?? Thank you!

We don't offer customizations to our egg tarts, and it's a little hard to say when they will be baked throughout the day as they are baked by demand, but they are baked every morning. We recommend stopping by within the first few hours of opening.

Can someone correct the store hours, it is horribly inaccurate?

I've tried their salt bread, which needed more butter and just taste like a decent dinner roll. Everything else though was good. Their coffee croissant was delicious, but slightly too sweet due to all the icing and filling. Their limited edition Biscoff cake slice was amazing if you love cookie butter it was thick and fudgy. And you can't go wrong with their strawberry fresh cream cake, which is usually really light and fluffy with a not too sweet cream that Asian families can enjoy. I've only had the experience of a dry cake, one time, possibly because it was sitting out for too long? Either way, Paris Baguette is one of my go to Asian bakeries for a good pastry and cake.

Even as I grew older, I never grew out of combing through their catalogue of delightful egg tarts and sweet and savory buns. The experience I'm speaking about today pertains to their custom cake order. You will likely need to speak Cantonese or Mandarin Chinese for this. I ordered a 1/2 sheet cake for my party of approximately 20 people, and we had almost half of the cake left over to spare! To be fair, I did give a much more generous estimate (I mentioned that there would be around 20-30 people attending my party). Definitely would've downsized had I known everyone's appetite would be so small. The ladies working there will let you know which size is best for your party. The cake was gigantic, and made in my favorite flavor (their mango mousse) with my birthday message written atop it in red and white icing. I loved everything about it! They're generous with the pickup process, you can definitely arrive after the time you specified for picking up. Everything went very smoothly, my friends were surprised that the cake was so delicious and many had never even had a mango flavored cake to begin with either! The creamy rich mousse layers complement the spongey cake perfectly. It was $135 total, but if you get their regular fruit cream cake, it'll be cheaper than if you pick a specialty cake (their tiramisu, passionfruit, etc).
