We stopped by today since we were at Main Street Cupertino. They were fully stocked with a variety of pastries. We purchase the berrytale cake, coconut custard sponge roll and walnut cinnamon roll. I also ordered a red grapefruit green tea, which was ice cold and delicious. The line to check out was not too bad and moved quickly. My drink was ready in a few minutes. We really loved their pastries and grapefruit green tea. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Prices are very reasonable and everything is clean and organized inside.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They also have excellent customer service.

This is my first time at 85° and I was not overwhelmed with it. It was busy, but I felt like it was easy to find options. Everything is prepackaged and you can grab a tray and load up on things that you want. I just wanted to check it out and maybe get like one treat. I spend a little time serving all the options and I had a question, but the workers seemed unapproachable like they hated their jobs and didn't want to be bothered. That seemed a little odd because not everyone has been to a bakery like this. I kind of felt like this is missing the boat and it would be nice to have somebody on the floor that's saying is this your first time but that wasn't my experience and apparently not the type of service that they offer. You're just left to figure everything out and it's not rocket science so you do but it's not user-friendly when you need assistance. They have one register open and a big line. So I am next in line and they decide to open up a second register. Which I think everybody was appreciative of. However, the girl that came out and was doing it seemed completely annoyed and miserable, and again was not friendly at all. I just paid for my stuff and wanted and did get out of there. I would never go back to this particular store.

My family loves 85° bakery... We always stop at the one in Santa Clarita when visiting family. Since I was in Cupertino and came across this one, of course I had to grab some for my parents. They didn't have some of the options that I would normally grab for them but I was still able to get some good choices. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It was a cold day out but man, not cold enough for how much they had the heat blasting in there... it was very warm.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Idk if that had anything to do with how sluggish the staff was? but, man, they had one guy working the register for a long minute and he was a slow one... the line got way longer than it should have had he been a bit quicker or working with haste (seems to be the norm with "kids" working these days). It wasn't until I finally got to the front of the line that another girl finally came and opened up a second register. Oh, also-- there were a lot of people waiting for drink orders as well... even if I wanted to order a drink, I definitely wouldn't have after seeing that and knowing how slowly they were working behind the counter. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Like Philz-- same area, same nice ambience.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Staff was meh, bakery items were good, did it's job (didn't snap a photo of my picks). I've gotta say, I like Santa Clarita better... sorry. 2 stars because the bakery items deserve some points.

On my way to work, I stopped by this bakery to purchase a box of egg custard tarts to bring to the office. The tarts were freshly baked, and you could still see the condensation from the steam on the upper lid of the box. Overall, the coworkers seemed to thoroughly enjoy the tarts. There were a few comments though, like the crust was a bit too flaky, and the tart itself was over-baked, resulting in a dry texture to the custard. Aside from those factors, the tart was not overly sweet and paired well with a cup of coffee. The lines here are always long, and they would benefit from having more employees at the cash registers. This is a fairly good bakery, if you're looking for pastries that are baked fresh, on the same day.

85°C Bakery is located in Main Street Cupertino Plaza with Meet Fresh, SomiSomi, Pelican Chicken, Alexander's Steak House, etc. Fresh baked pastries and bread coming out on a scheduled time throughout the day.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]This location is also pretty big not as nice as another location but Main Street Cupertino is so dope everything is here in one location.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I wanna live here lol. They had all the yummy treats I normally get which is more than I can say for other locations. This one did not disappoint in selection and service.

85C at Cupertino is a local favorite. There are a lot of freshly baked options and [[HIGHLIGHT]]the store is always packed with people.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambience is nice as well.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]There are not many seats but in general parking is easy in the area.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Love 85 and all of their special discounts! If you have their app and are a rewards member, they tend to have 50% off drink specials every month! It's a perfect place to get a refreshing drink or boba without having to pay the premium price everywhere else

Satisfied spot. Never a disappointment here. Not sure what happened to my previous review on Yelp, but this Cupertino location still has great customer service in a very walkable part of town. I am never in a rush or waiting in long lines here. Breads/pastries/cakes/beverages are all well organized, especially the displays which are filled with inventory today. Staffs are helpful and friendly if you get a chance to talk to them. I love this location very much as it is convenient. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It was clean inside and the store looks great.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I still ordered my favorite $4.90 medium iced tiger boba latte from the kiosk. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Their huge windows are perfect for looking outside at other shops and restaurants nearby. Good natural lighting.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Got my order within 2-3 minutes even with one other customer ahead of me. It's one of those places that keeps me coming back because there are no hassles or problems here. [[HIGHLIGHT]]No seats/tables inside though. You can sit outdoors.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] If you want less drama or shorter lines, this location could be an option.

I came by around 10am on a Saturday morning. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Parking wasn't too bad and the shop wasn't heavily crowded.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Interior is well lit and airy.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I was happy to see the bread shelves full since I'd previously come to scarce, empty shelves before. That said, I did notice multiple sections were just repeats of the same bread flavors. I've been hunting for the squid ink cheese buns that used to be $1 but I haven't seen that in a long time. Not sure if they're no longer offered at all? The Hokkaido milk loaf is tasty. Seems like there's a coconut-y crusted bottom. Matcha cream bun was okay. Cream was a decent amount to bun ratio. Taro mochi bun was pretty good. The mochi texture was soft and gooey against the light flakey bread.

    Nyny T.

Ordered the sea salt coffee. It was delicious. The service was quick and friendly. They also have a kiosk to order drinks and pay.

    Sheila J.

What's not to like, fluffy Asian desserts for cheap. The sea salt coffee is really good don't need to add sugar. The best dessert is the taro marble bread loaf but it sells out fast. There's parking in the parking structure across the way. To get a whole cake for your birthday you can order it online ahead of time for pickup. The Ube cake is the best.

We bought Berry Tale pastry and brought it home and it was completely raw in the middle - nasty ! And they don't answer their phone to complain

    Any gluten-free desserts?

We have many gluten free drinks but nothing at our bakery is certified gluten free.

When is the best time to pick up egg tarts hot ? I had 2 egg tarts today and it was still warm, and it was the best tasting egg tarts I had in a while. I wish I had purchased a dozen! Can you reduce the sugar in the recipe?? Thank you!

We don't offer customizations to our egg tarts, and it's a little hard to say when they will be baked throughout the day as they are baked by demand, but they are baked every morning. We recommend stopping by within the first few hours of opening.

Can someone correct the store hours, it is horribly inaccurate?

You won't accidentally stumble upon it unless you make an effort to seek it out. Despite this, it seems to be well known by locals and the seating area gets full at times. There's a larger communal table, and some counter seating. Parking can be difficult. There's a small area in the parking garage for "guest" parking. It's almost always full and you will depend on luck to find one spot there or arrive in time when someone is leaving their spot. There is no parking on most of the surrounding streets, except for the small section of the road that curves underneath Lawrence. And that part is often full of parked cars. It can be frustrating and this parking situation will easily drive away customers to find somewhere else with easier parking. If you're fortunate enough to get parking, you will find that Coffeebar offers a decent coffee menu, baked goods, and some food if you need more than a snack. The people working behind the counter have all been very friendly and helpful. Their Chocolate Croissant is HUGE!!! They'll ask if you want it warmed up. Definitely do this. It is delicious slightly warmed up. I have tried their Iced Chai Latte, which was just OK. It lacked the spice I was expected from a chai, and felt a bit too milky. I prefer their Iced Caramel Latte, which is much better than the Chai. Next time I will try their Mocha.

One can tell right away that they know their coffee and roast their own beans in-house. It gives the whole experience a refined, gourmet feel. The Nola style vanilla iced coffee was fantastic. It was near 5pm. I walked in and the place was empty. The gentleman behind the counter greeted me. I asked for a strawberry smoothie, then walked around to survey all the baked goods. It's a small bakery with lots of trays of individually packaged cakes and pastries. The smell was very pleasant and comforting. Using a flat basket (or tray) I grabbed a few selections. I picked 2 "Heart Pies" that resembled my favorite French Butterfly Cookies. Also 2 pound cakes. The total rang up to just over $21. There's some small tables for enjoying your purchases there, but I took my items to go. The icy cold fruit smoothie was very good and very cold! Not too sweet, it had a natural strawberry taste. The Heart Pies were good and fresh. But the Pound Cakes were probably "day old." I noticed there's no dates or "best by" tags on the packages. It's a nice place to visit, and I will return again. There was a large group of older Asian ladies, including one who brought their lap dog, enjoying good conversations in their native language with their baked goods and tea or coffee. Pastries and breads are often not uniform in size. Pastries that come out smaller or torn, damaged still get selected to be sold to customers instead of seen as a quality defect and pulled. In comparison to premium bakeries in SF, Palo Alto, or even Los Gatos, this was disappointing. I would think it would be better to pull the one or two pastries in that tray. Heck, even Paris Baguette would pull whole trays if it didn't fit their quality standard. (But I don't know if that's still true haha.) Given its premium pricing of $8-15 a pastry, I would expect all the qualities that would justify it. They are a step above bakeries who have frozen products, but do not hit the level of premium in quality of pastry. The prices they had in the beginning were fair, but with the recent increase along with those issues, I'm sad to rate it lower.
