    Cookie Sandwich

I have a peanut allergy, and the man working there explained to me how the cookies were baked in case of cross contamination and got me a set of warm chocolate chip cookies that were baked separately from the peanut butter cookies!

Join me as I tell you a story about the first time I went to Cream. It was 10:15 PM on a Saturday night, when I suddenly got a hankerin' for some ice cream. I've tried just about every spot in San Jose, and I'm not very impressed with most of the options. I got online and looked for something different, and noticed I had never heard of this place or been. It wasn't hard to convince my wife to put on her jacket, and go out in the cold to grab an unnecessary treat. When we got there, we saw a group of about 10 teenagers ahead of us. When we asked if they were in line, they scowled, then turned their backs to us and didn't respond. I thought that was pretty rude, but then I noticed they were speaking Hebrew while the only word I could decipher was "muslim." That's when I realized what was happening, as it has a thousand times before. You see, me and my wife are middle eastern, and usually, Israelis act this way towards my wife and her sister, and cower when her brothers or I are present. This time they did it even with a man present, very out of character. I think the current climate in politics has these particular kids riled up more than usual, and thus emboldened them. As usual, we took the high road and disregarded their petty hatred. We waited and watched as an employee by the name of Arsh was handling all of their orders solo. I felt for Arsh, he was working very hard, all while giving great customer service. Running back and forth to take orders, make shakes, scoop ice cream, and take payments. When it was our turn to order, it was 10:35 at night, and Arsh was still smiling and offering samples to us. The ice cream was delicious, with a texture like none other. Take it from me, I eat ice cream on the treadmill, I'm an expert. I wanted to give Arsh a personal tip, but he refused to take it, because there was a tip jar and he didn't want to break any rules. This is the kind of guy that every employer wishes they had on their team. I want to give a big shout out to Arsh, and I hope the owner sees this review and gives him a raise, and 3 scoops of gratitude. Arsh is the man, even though the ice cream was great, it was Arsh and his service that makes us want to go back again.

What's better than a freshly baked cookie with creamy delicious ice cream?...not much! I love these ice cream sand who he's because they taste so fresh. If cookies aren't your thing, you can also get just the ice cream which is great too. My favorite ice cream if you are a vanilla base fan is the churro ice cream. I recommend getting a combo of 2 different types of cookies. There is so much ice cream in between the two that you can eat them separately if that's your thing. Great management here. Staff is friendly. Store is clean. They also have cute seating outside if you are looking to sit. However, very little to no seating inside.

First time trying this place! Craved for ice cream after dinner and saw they have few branches on South bay! I got 2 scoops - rocky road and sort of mocha/coffee flavored ice cream (memory lapse ). It was gooooooood! Flavorful, thick, and packed! Should've gotten 1 scoop only but hey, I finished it! Lol It was creamy and has the nice consistency. Service was good. They're ready to answer questions about the menu and you can sample the flavors as well. Shop is located on a residential/commercial area so there's enough parking. There are indoor and outdoor seating but inside, it was way too hot for an ice cream shop loooool idk if they have AC problems that day lol.

tim walz was being ragged on by republicans for drinking a vanilla milkshake through a straw (how else are you supposed to drink it??) and it immediately made me want to drink a vanilla milkshake through a straw. shop was good, had lots of fun flavors. will be back the next time tim walz gets a milkshake lmao (will probably try the ube tho). they made a little too much and gave us the extra in a separate cup and they let us bring our dog in.

Pistachio ice cream sandwiched in between snickerdoodle and white chocolate macadamia cookies
    Justine T.

I ordered pistachio ice cream sandwiched in between a white chocolate macadamia nut cookie and a snickerdoodle cookie. Sadly, the best part was the ice cream. I expected the cookies to be warm and soft--but it was the complete opposite. It was as if these cookies have been sitting out forever, old, or overcooked.

Cream is a kids dream come true. And ice cream shop that builds ice cream sandwiches. It's like subway but for someone with a sweet tooth. This location is so clutch because you can have dinner at Main Street in the plaza and walk right over. S/O to the helpful staff here will be back soon!

Bay Area ice cream shop I haven't had before. They have some vegan options which is always a plus. They are known for ice cream cookie sandwiches and we got one vegan. It was very good and couldn't even tell there's no dairy. Also had a scoop of chocolate chip cookie dough on a waffle cone that has chocolate and fruity pebble's on it. Good tasty quality ice cream.

Salted Butter Cookie with Salted Caramel Ice cream Sandwich. (My Fav!)
    Tina L.

I was craving CREAM one sunny afternoon and this location was close to me at the time. I had passed by several times and didn't see the parking lot. I almost missed it on this visit again. We drove up and the parking lot was really congested. We found a spot and I walked up to the store. There was a ton of people hanging out in front of the Cafe shop next to the CREAM store. Maybe one or two people out of that whole group of people were wearing a mask. I walked in and was greeted right away. I was the only customer inside the store. I looked at the fridge to see if they had pints to go but they didn't. I ordered a butter sugar sandwich with salted caramel to go. I also ordered half a dozen cookies. I asked the cashier if they had salted caramel pints to go and she said no but she could make one for me. I decided to opt out of the pint as I wasn't sure how long the ice cream had been opened for and how many hands had scooped out of that bucket of ice cream. My ice cream sandwich cookies was warm and the ice cream was good. The cashier service was efficient and friendly. My in store experience was a 4/5. A couple days later I ordered CREAM for delivery and decided to order half a dozen cookies and a pint of salted caramel so I could make my own sandwich at home. They were all out of the carnival M&M cookies so they replaced it with a chocolate chip cookie. I was expecting something the size of a pint from Baskin Robbins but what I received was nothing in comparison. I was pretty disappointed. It was packed really messy and didn't look appealing. I ended up making one sandwich and didn't finish it or the cookies or the rest of the pint. My delivery order was a 2.5/5. Overall good service in store at this location. I will return for an in store visit vs delivery. Parking can be a drag.

There is plenty of seating inside but if you don't like the smell of durian, then I probably wouldn't sit there. Once you enter the store, you are blasted with a waft of durian air. I usually…read moredon't write reviews for chain restaurants unless they are exceptional or there is a special case scenario. The main reason why I am taking the time to write a review for this Dish-n-Dash location is because it has mansaf on the menu. This item was my favorite thing to order at the flagship restaurant and to have a more convenient (and cheaper I might add!) way to order this dish that tastes just as great (which is not always the case!) is the reason why I needed to give a shout-out to this particular Dish-n-Dash. Were this option available at the Sunnyvale Dish-n-Dash location, I would be going there instead as it's closer to my apartment. Besides the mansaf, all the other dishes here are tasty as well. On the flip side, I do wish that this location would offer a maza sampler option like the Sunnyvale Dish-n-Dash location and then there would be no reason for me to visit any other Dish Dash franchise. However, I will take the win with having the mansaf option available here.

For context, my usual hummus is the roasted red pepper variety from Costco, so I wasn't exactly a hummus connoisseur. I was also told that Dish n' Dash is the quicker, more casual version of its original restaurant, offering slightly lower prices in exchange for less service. With that in mind, this place exceeded my expectations. The ordering process is straightforward: grab a menu, place your order at the register, and receive a buzzer. I assumed I'd need to return to the counter when it went off, but to my surprise, the staff brought the food directly to our table. Water and other beverages are self-serve, but the overall experience felt much more polished than I expected. The restaurant itself is beautiful, with a warm and inviting atmosphere that feels far removed from the fast-food vibe I had anticipated. I ordered the Beef Kebab plate, which comes with two sides. I chose the babaganoush, the red pepper and walnut dip, and rice, along with the included pita bread. The beef was tender, juicy, and packed with flavor. The babaganoush was quite different from what I was familiar with, but absolutely spectacular. The red pepper and walnut dip was another standout, bursting with flavor. The rice wasn't the highlight of the meal, but it was still well prepared and delicious. We also ordered the hummus appetizer with chicken, and now I understand why my friend called it "real hummus." It was incredibly smooth, rich, and flavorful. The portion size was generous enough that I could easily have made a meal out of it on its own. Another surprise was the falafel. I'd always avoided trying falafel because I'd heard so many complaints about it being dry. This one was anything but. It had a wonderfully crispy exterior while remaining moist and flavorful inside. The texture almost reminded me of a broccoli-based "mash", in the best possible way. What impressed me most was that there wasn't a single dish I didn't enjoy. Even though the restaurant operates with a more casual, self-serve model, the service still felt attentive. The staff cleared our table when we were finished, and takeout containers, napkins, and other essentials were conveniently available at a designated self-serve station. Overall, I was extremely impressed. Between the delicious food, generous portions, welcoming atmosphere, and thoughtful service, Dish n' Dash easily lived up to the recommendation.
