85C Roll ($2.40/ two pieces). I didn't like this. Portos Bakery is much better. 5/16/2026

The drinks are always a win for me when it comes to 85C Bakery and this location is no exception. It has been a while since I've had their breads and pastry items and there are so many new items that I have never tried. It looks like they have their own version of Guava and Cheese pastry and Cheese rolls that are very similar to Porto's Bakery. Sadly, I did not like the them, especially the Cheese roll. It had a weird oily taste to them that reminded me of old canola oil. Overall, their breads and drinks are still pretty good. Especially when it comes to the prices of their drinks!

Sea Salt Jasmine Green Tea ICED LARGE

Love this place! I used to frequent 85 degrees a lot back when I was still in school. Way back then they used to have a drink called sea salt mountain green tea, but it's no longer on the menu. Their drinks are pretty good! I really enjoy their sea salt jasmine tea. The floral notes from the tea are pretty bold, and I like that a lot. The saltiness from the foam on top complements the sweetness added really well. The dash of matcha powder sprinkled on the top helps underscore the floral notes from the tea. I like to get this drink with half sugar and less ice. Another favorite of mine is the ice blended taro drink. This one is a little on the sweeter side, but in a good way. Their pastries are alright! Their cakes are good too. It's a convenient way to get a cake quickly for a special occasion. Their rewards program on the app is nice and i feel like they frequently have some sort of deal going on, which is nice. Service at this location is good. The ambiance includes warmer lighting.

Coming by when I am craving some fresh bread. A big selection of bread and cake. My usual go to is the brioche, boroh, and hot dog buns. They also serve coffee and tea. I would pair my bread with sea salt iced coffee. There is not much seating in the store as you weave through the bread line to the cashier line. Servers are quick to get everyone checked out.

Horrid parking but a staple for pastries and bread! I love coming here for fresh bread + service has always been friendly.

Understaffed means greedy ownership! This place used to have three beverage baristas but now there is one poor overworked neglected soul. I feel so sorry for how far this place has fallen. Visit somewhere else where they respect their employees!

I loved my guava croissants sprinkled with sugar. 85C Bakery has sweet & savory breads! You can get something for breakfast, some egg tarts for protein after a workout, a cake for Mother's Day (mango, Black Forest, tiramisu, cheesecakes and more). They even have different sizes like round or rectangular! They offer birthday decor and a beautiful box to go. If you need a boba: they have teas, matcha, and even Vietnamese coffees! The workers are diligent decorating cakes, bussing out more pastries, taking orders, and making drinks. Really impressive. I love it here. Definitely coming back :)

This place is five stars all the way for us! Every time we go, we always order the milk pudding -- it's literally our favorite thing ever -- and yes, we usually end up with like 10 of them because they're just that delicious and addictive! The line moves super fast, even when it looks long, which we really love because we don't have to wait forever for our sweet treats. And if you're into saving a little extra, definitely check out the 85°C rewards program -- you can earn points on purchases, redeem them for free bread, cake, or drinks, and even score seasonal perks (like treats and app‑exclusive offers) by scanning your app when you buy. It makes grabbing all your favorites even more fun! Parking's a little thing to note -- you'll need to park in the Irvine Spectrum Center parking structure and then walk around a bit to get to the bakery, but that's honestly no big deal because the whole area is beautiful and fun to stroll through while you decide what you want next. If you love sweet treats with great speed and style, and a place that feels like a little dessert adventure every time, this is definitely one of our go‑tos!

Fresh. Tasty. Affordable. Pastries and Coffee. Cakes too. The goods here always hit the spot. There's so many options. I like to get the berry bun, milk bun, brioche bread, mochi egg tart. They've got new ish stuff too like coffee cruffin and $5 sandwiches they can't heat up for you. Grab a tray and tongs and get to stepping of picking out your yummy items. For drinks, I recommend hot rose milk tea, iced jasmine tea, and ice sea salt caramel coffee. Service is quick and can order at drink kiosk too. Download the app if you want to start collecting points for freebies.

Came by this location during my visit to the Irvine Spectrum today. Employee that helped me out was very friendly and shared with me during my purchase that they had a buy 3 get one free but I decided to only get 2 garlic cheese pastries. I went in looking for cheese rolls but there weren't any. Such a shame.

Left to Right: hot Cheese Dog, Pork Sung Bun, Spicy Sausage Bun
    Michelle C.

I grew up with 85°C Bakery, and it's still a household staple for us some weeks. It's one of those reliable spots that never fully leaves your rotation. My go-to buns are always the hot dog bun (even though it's definitely shrunk in size over the years) and the spicy sausage bun, which still delivers on flavor and has a nice kick. The pork sung bun is another favorite, the bun is slightly sweet and fluffy, and the savory pork floss on top balances it out perfectly. One small downside is the store layout, which makes it a bit difficult to browse and decide on items without already being in line. That said, the line usually moves quickly, so it's not a huge issue. Overall, still a comforting and dependable bakery that I'll continue coming back to for my favorites.

The place is clean and in a very busy plaza. I was surprised by the limited variety of sweet bread they had. They had the same bread displayed on a few trays. we got 2 pastries a loaf of bread, cookies and caramel pudding. The sweets were very tasty.

    Sea salt matcha latte
    Selene S.

Was in the plaza for dinner and stopped by after for a drink. Using the kiosk by the wall, I got the sea salt matcha latte. It was quick and easy to order and there was only a short 5 min wait. The drink was good! No complaints.

    No filling

I normally LOVE this place but recently I purchased 5 cream filled pastry's and was disappointed that only one was filled, the rest had a minimal amount of cream :( so sad I wasted $ on non filled pastries. Everything always tastes good and are normally super filled. Hoping this was a one off.

Safe to say that I'm obsessed but I think that's a testament to how good their matcha and pastries are. Their matcha is my new favorite in OC. I get the matcha latte at 75% sweet which is SO SO GOOD! It's a perfect balance of sweet and still being able to taste the flavor and bitterness of the matcha. I'm surprised more people don't talk about their matcha. Don't get me started on their pastries and desserts... ALSO SO GOOD. They have such a huge variety of pastries, both sweet and savory, that it's hard to choose but that also means there's something for everyone. My favorites are their blueberry brioche, matcha cruffin, and egg bacon bread. The egg bacon bread surprised me since it's made of rice flour and has a chewy/mochi like consistency - it's so unique and you just have to try it. When you enter, you wait in line and let the staff know which pastries you want and they'll grab them for you to put in a box. Once you get to the cashier, you can order your drinks there. If you only want drinks, you can skip the line to order at the kiosk at the front. The staff are all super friendly. I ordered Early Gray and Matcha Cruffins and they were delicious. The Earl Gray is a little bit on the sweeter side when compared to the match, so pairing it with a non-sweet tea would be perfect. I wasn't in the mood for coffee or a drink, but decided to check out the sweet treats. I was so excited they had Portuguese egg tarts. I am very familiar with the Asian egg tarts, but I haven't had the Portuguese kind. I was eyeing up the banana pudding, but I decided to not get it. Prices seemed a bit high so we just went for 4 egg tarts. We relaxed a bit while our order was ready. They warmed them up, I decided to try one since I am not from this area. MY, oh MY, oh my!!!!!!!!?!!!!!?!!?!!! They were so good, the outside was super flakey, not greasy. The egg center was warm, not too 'eggy' and the sweetness level was just perfect. They were honestly to die for. I contemplated for a few minutes to BUY MORE even though I had only eaten one. I thought, I'm not from this area, so I might as well get more! Honestly when I put in my 2nd order, I couldn't help myself to tell the people behind me how dang good the egg tarts are... They told me they ended up getting some just because I mentioned it.. Sadly, the jasmine tea cheesecake was one of the worst desserts we've had. It tasted so unpleasant that we ended up throwing away what you see in the photo because we simply couldn't take another bite. The checkout experience was also a little unusual. The cashier told us the credit card machine wasn't working, so the only payment options were cash or sending a Zelle payment directly to the owner. There was a small handwritten sticky note with an individual's name and phone number for the Zelle payment, which felt a bit odd. To be fair, there wasn't a large selection available when we visited, so it's possible they have other pastries or desserts that are much better than what we tried. However, based on our experience, the item we purchased was disappointing, and the $12 definitely didn't feel well spent. On the positive side, the décor and overall aesthetic were lovely and were probably the bakery's strongest feature. But as the saying goes, you can't judge a book by its cover... and you can't judge a bakery by its ambience either.
