This place is usually busy, or out the door busy, never anything less. I never understood the hype for a long time until I started to buy more breads and try new things. Now it's become a guilty pleasure of mine, lol. The service is usually pretty fast despite the rush, and they're always really friendly at the register. Today I bought the bogo mango brûlée cakes which was a pretty good deal in my opinion. The girl at the register even checked the back to see if there were any fresh ones made which I appreciated. Cost, the cakes and pastries are usually pretty affordable and look visually appealing. It can be easy to get carried away by saying "ah it's only a couple dollars for this one" and next thing you know you're walking out with a dozen things. Good for small purchases but beware for large orders. Was exceptionally disappointed. Will not be relying on their accuracy in the future. We ordered 135 various pastries for our wedding reception weeks in advance. The venue was nearby so we elected for morning pickup instead of the additional delivery charge. Our family arrived early that morning with the order number and order information and were given the pastries. However they were called right before the ceremony to inform them that the bakery only gave them 60% of the order and they would not provide delivery for the remainder. As a result our family had to drive over and pick it up. That delayed our ceremony and wedding timeline by 20 minutes unnecessarily. I don't know about you, but that's a frustrating and unnecessary reason to be delayed on a very stressful day when we followed their instructions correctly. They didn't even apologize for the inconvenience. I will not be recommending their catering in the future. read more

4.5 stars because they always run out of egg tarts whenever I go. But good bread as usual. My favorite is the choco bread. You bite into it and it's just chocolate inside and outside. I've recently tried their curry filled bread. It was pretty good too, I'd recommend it as a snack not a breakfast time bread - a little too savory for me. Their pineapple buns are on the denser side and their egg tarts are not as flakey as some places, but this being the closest bakery to us, it's still pretty good. I still prefer shengke's though. As for cakes, I love the blueberry cheesecake. I actually really don't like cheesecakes at all, but somehow this one is so delicious with the blueberry swirls mixed into the cheesecake. I love this spot. I would come here on dates or with friends and to purchase items for fundraising. Staff is usually always super attentive and ready. The lines can get long sometimes but luckily the place is designed with wrap arounds. The team works really hard and the pastry are usually very fresh, within days or same day only. I also particularly enjoy their rose milk tea, it is one of the mor flowery aroma drinks. This is probably the smallest 85° bakery I have ever been to and since it's also located in the Diamond Jamboree shopping center I feel even less inclined to come here because of how busy it usually is at any given time of the day. Since it is close to several dining options like Hai Di Lao and Somi Somi, you will find a huge crowd in the area which really puts a damper on the overall visit since you cannot really see the display since so many people are walking in front of and behind you. I do like that they have a special deal for beverages on certain days, but since this is not necessarily location-specific, I guess it's really just a plus that 85 degrees even offers it to their customers. I do love the variety of cakes that you can purchase here. I also like that they have Japanese cheesecake which is well-known for its fluffy, jiggly shape and texture! Overall, I would still consider coming back here since this is the closest location to where I live, but by no means is it the best 85 degrees I have ever been to.
