We loved our experience here. First, the place isn't in the most intuitive place - it's on the ground floor of an office building. The service was stellar. The manager was our server and she was so engaging and delightful, it was a pleasure to get to work Tracy with her while we were there. The food was fantastic. We had the Brussels sprouts, ribs, crispy duck leg, and the lobster rangoon. Amazing. Such bold and complex flavors. We enjoyed it all. Try this place. We'll definitely be back when visiting the Pensacola area in the future. read more

Sensational dining experience. We were lucky to have Bianca as our server who gave us exceptional service and recommendations. We started off with the ceviche which was tasty but not as amazing as the duck bao buns that came right after... we loved these so much we got a second order! The duck was cooked to perfection and the buns were soft, fluffy and melted in your mouth. We also had the Korean spare ribs *chefs kiss* and the duck fries with yummy dipping sauces. Epic. Don't believe me? The pictures speak for themselves! To make our dinner even more special, we got a complimentary tiramisu for our anniversary! We chose to eat earlier than usual and it was pleasant not overly crowded just yet and enough time to enjoy whatever happy hour they had to offer. Our server made 2 great shared plates. We actually enjoyed the music playing. Right around 6pm this place gets busy and with only 2 on the floor somethings took a little longer to get. Maybe someone called in sick bc them allergies be out but overall a better experience second time around. read more

This was a great place for lunch. We had just arrived from the airport and wanted a quick bite and drink. We sat outside which was really nice, plenty of seating and shade. We came in for my daughter's birthday lunch. Indoor and outdoor seating were available. We opted for indoor. Seems like it's a regular stop for food tour groups since there was a large group in the tables outside. Loved that they had many Asian tapas-style plates available to try. Our server was very friendly and super helpful with all the questions we had since we had members in our group who are vegetarian and with food allergies. Me and my husband came the other day, the server was beautiful and perfect but the food was another story. We ordered boa buns, the meat for the ribeye was close to burnt but the chicken boa was good. Along with there surf and turf platter my husband found a hair in his food. We though it was just a hiccup and we can still make the most of our anniversary and ordered the chicken skewers, it tasted like plain boiled chicken with bbq sauce on top, little to no flavor for how thick the chicken was. We ended with dessert having the hazelnut brownie and thankful it was a delicious way to end the night. Over all the ambiance was clean. read more

I was looking for a happy hour spot in Pensacola. This place came up in my search. Inside a strip mall, I almost missed it but glad I didn't. The bartender was awesome (sorry I forgot her name). She took the time to explain the menu and drink specials. They have $5 old fashioned on Tuesdays at happy hour and today it was a Ginger Old Fashioned with house made ginger syrup. It was a refreshing twist on the drink. I had to try a dish to go with my drink. I ordered the Tuna Tacos - seared tuna cotija wasabi aioli served with coleslaw and kimchi. The tacos were awesome but the shells were a little more crunchy than I preferred. I wonder if I could have had them on corn tortillas? The coleslaw was excellent and the kimchi wasn't bad (although I don't really like kimchi). Overall it was a great experience after my flight to Florida. read more

Clarify on your reservation where you want to sit bc we had wanted to sit inside but it was filled. Got the tuna tartare and duck fries for apps- both were pretty good. Asian inspired tapas hidden in a brick plaza off Palafox with excellent Lobster Rangoons and even better service. Really appreciated all the reusable tableware, water glasses, plates, silverware- even my To Go containers weren't styrofoam- hats off to y'all! The service was the highlight of the experience with Mandy being very welcoming and genuine. The space is smaller and vibey with a large drink menu, perfect for a cocktail and snack on a bar hop. As for the food, in order of most enjoyed to meh, we got the rangoons, Duck Ramen Bowl, Chashu Pork Bao buns, and an interesting crab claw ramen. Nothing food wise was bad, but also not rave worthy. Lemon on the crab claw ramen helped, but it's odd picking through the ramen to eat the claws basically. Great presentation, good sized stylish menu, but just not my favorites. I'll have to return and try something different, sometimes they do special menus! read more

Such a huge menu, with such a unique spin on Asian cuisine. So delicious. The waitress was awesome and so helpful. The vibe was great, low lit, temperature was good, and the music was at an appropriate level. Would definitely re visit. This place boasts menu items that are "shareable" so I recommend trying several things and sharing them with your table! She was attentive and friendly. Food was good. We got the fried egg rolls, lobster Rangoon's, Boa buns duck, and the carbonara. Was in the mood for some ramen. We got the pork and seared tuna. Both good and both had different broth but my daughter and I prefer the traditional pork one. Ended our meal with a delicious Thai ice tea tiramisu. Service was excellent and friendly. She brought us some chili oil that made our ramen better. We like it spicy. It's a small joint but plenty of seats outdoors as well. There are free parking along the streets but may be hard to find on weekends. read more

Going on my must try list for Pensacola. This place hit all the right points for me. Everything on the menu is tapas style which means it's meant for sharing unless you just want it yourself Service was awesome. Server was attentive. We ordered everything all at once and they came out as they were done cooking which was perfect. Everything was flavorful and great serving temperature. We were never overwhelmed with too much food. The only meh was the desserts. After so much savory we were excited for the tiramisu was was a little too soggy. The special chocolate chip creme brûlée was lovely though. Inside is cute as well...seating is limited so make a reservation or get there early to ensure you get seated. This place can get packed quickly. The entrance is not visible from the street, took a second it find it was in a hallway which looked off limits because the other stores were closed. I imagine a sandwich board sign on the walkway helping with this but as good as the food was I doubt they need more help. I will be coming back for more for sure. read more

Service was wonderful so I feel bad leaving this review, but the food was just not good. I ordered the scallop risotto with beet sauce, and the only part I enjoyed was the beets. Risotto was so salty I couldn't finish half my plate, with rubbery scallops that made me sad :(. My boyfriend ordered the surf and turf, steak was dry, crab (lobster? Can't remember which) was also pretty rubbery and overall very oily. Lobster Rangoons were okay, not as crispy as they could've been. Again the service was really nice, but for $100 after tax and tip I was expecting a lot more from this place. read more

What a wonderful place to have dinner at before tending a show. We had dinner reservations for 6 o'clock, and we were seated as soon as we got there. A friendly hostess server was right at our table, introducing herself and letting us know that she and the bartender would take care of us. The food was fabulous. They have an outstanding chef who is very attentive to detail. Both my wife's and my food was great. I had the pork Ramen noodle bowl, and my wife had a lobster dish. Oh, the appetizers were great, too. And I do have to say we really enjoyed the ambience. It does have a bar-type atmosphere, but the ambience was great. We found this spot just looking to have a few drinks. We were happy with their happy hour menu and the bartender (who was also our waitress) was phenomenal. Her service was why we stayed to try the food, and we were all happy we did! Everything was amazing! The drinks were strong. The buns were so good! The ribs were perfect. service was alright they only filled our water once (very important i love water). menu was lowkey wack it's supposed to be Japanese fusion but really they just took the culture out of the food. Smallest ramen bowl i have EVER seen (i've had lots of ramen) but also the ramen was just not that good tbh so definitely don't recommend. not to mention they had three pieces of meet on top for a $20 ramen bowl that's crazy and they charge extra for EVERYTHING. I have to start with the most important parts of our day which were Cara & Jadyn, our event coordinators and Nick & Jesse, our bartenders. Cara and Jadyn were literal earth-movers and magic makers. These two helped us get everything decorated and torn down with absolute ease (and we had an awful lot of decor we brought in.) By the time we moved into the ceremony, Jadyn was everywhere ensuring we started when we were ready, the guests were ready for us to enter, and just made us feel so at ease. We heard from so many guests that they didn't even realize the chairs got moved from the garden into the grainhouse between because it was so fast and flawlessly executed. These folks were so stealthy bringing 75 chairs between different spaces. Bravo. Our caterer was just arriving as we were about the walk the aisle. We had no idea the chaos that was ensuing behind the scenes that Jadyn and the team worked out as quickly as possible and without our guests even recognizing there was a delay in the start time of the food service. Obviously catering is a huge part of the day, and it would have been so stressful had we realized they were 30+ minutes behind. The execution of our wedding could not have happened flat out without these two wonderful people. We are so grateful for you both, Cara and Jadyn. You deserve all the praise in the world and are absolutely amazing event coordinators. Oh, and Jadyn, thanks for never letting us have a drink less than half full - your impeccable attention to detail is what every event coordinator should strive for. Now, the other critical aspect to a wedding is bar service. Nick and Jesse had those drinks flowing non stop all night. There was never a guest waiting in line or without a drink from before the ceremony to last moments. Our guests were complimenting all night on how amazing the bar service was. We are a family with one side from New Orleans, we know how to party and going into it with 2 bartenders for 75 people who know how to have a good time was an anxiety for us, but there was not a single mishap in the bar service and we couldn't have asked for a better experience for our guests or us. Not to mention, every time I looked at Nick or Jesse, they were both smiling and so happy to be there with us - it meant a lot to feel like your vendors were a part of your wedding. The space lent itself so naturally to our ceremony and reception. It was beautiful, cozy, clean, and just 100% our vibe. Our guests also complimented all night on what a cool venue we had. If you're thinking about booking an event, particularly a wedding here, don't hesitate. There's not a dang thing I would change about Garden & Grain, Perfect Plain and the people they had assisting us and our guests throughout the event. From the moment we were running late, to the moment we left, everything was just right. My husband…read morehad made reservations for us and his parents, but as life goes, we were running a few minutes behind, so we called and let them know, and the lady who answered was very kind and told us not to worry. (This was a 4:30 reservation when they were not as busy.) They seated us at a table that accommodated the four of us perfectly. I should add that my father-in-law was in a wheelchair, and the ladies were quick to adjust the table settings for us so that he would fit comfortably. Our waitress, Roxy, was just as helpful as a server. My father-in-law also has dementia, so ordering for him at restaurants can at times be very tricky. She was ever so patient and suggested some items that could work for him based on what my mother-in-law shared are things he usually will eat with ease. But hospitality and service are only part of the reason you go to a restaurant, because let's face it, if the food were bad, who cares how nice everyone is. In this department, they were also on point. Roxy explained the menu changes seasonally. We dined on July 3, peak summer. I should also add that I am 7 weeks pregnant, and so I need to be careful with what I am consuming. To drink, I had an orange glow - with cardamom, lemon, orange, and strawberry (and the only item I remembered to photograph - blame it on how delicious the food was or on my pregnancy brain). It was refreshing and sweet, without being too juice-like. My mother-in-law ordered a moscato and my husband had a blond ale. We all consumed our beverages in their entirety before the end of the meal. I'll add here that the young lady who went around refilling waters was extremely on point. If our glasses were halfway emptied, she came around and filled them (which with how much water I'm currently intaking, she came by quite a bit). To start, we ordered their garlic yeast rolls. It comes with a garlic butter which you can add to the rolls, but let me tell you how it doesn't need the extra butter (though it is mighty delicious). I could live in those rolls. They were flaky and buttery, like a croissant, but in a yeast dinner roll. If it's on the menu when you go, please do yourself a favor and order. There are 4 to an order. My husband and I shared the 4th one, and I would have ordered another set of 4, but at that point I would have just been eating with my tastebuds and not my actual stomach. But they *are* that good! My husband and I both ordered the filet. I can't eat anything cooked less than medium, though I'm typically a medium rare girl, and let me tell you - it was still juicy and delicious, a sign of a chef who knows how to cook a good steak. The black garlic butter was heavenly. The steak was a bit too seasoned for me (but pregnancy taste buds are something else). My husband ordered it medium well, and he loved it (and he's only recently come around to enjoying a nice piece of red meat). They came accompanied with a celeriac potato au gratin which was perfect - not overly cheesy, and the celeriac (first time eating this) was perfectly sliced. My husband also ordered the cheese grits and collard greens. The grits were a whipped-like texture, soft and creamy. The collards were not something I could stomach. Blame it on those pregnancy taste buds again. My mother-in-law also ordered collards and they both loved them. For me, the vinegar was just too much to handle. My mother-in-law opted for the ribeye, medium rare with the broccolini, and she said it was "scrumptious, delicioso, and magnificent (in a French accent)." As delicious as it was, she and I could not finish our meals, so we asked for a to-go boxes. Roxy packaged them up for us, and labeled each box with what it contained and when it was packaged. Of course, when it came time for dessert, we were beyond full, but we ordered a prickly pear sorbet to share. And it was just what was needed to cleanse the pallet after such a flavorful meal. The coconut mousse was light and airy and paired well with the sorbet. If you're in the mood for some good southern fusion in Pensacola, Iron is the place to try.

I've been dying to try this place since we first rolled into town. Wow, was I in for a disappointment. The ambiance is super cute, but the floor feels like a greasy crime scene. We were greeted promptly by the General manager, who was super friendly, attentive, and helpful - she's the real MVP. The cocktails she whipped up for us were pure bliss. But, the food? More like food for thought... on how to do better. We ordered the Crab Claws Ramen-Guine, which was a total letdown. The crab claws were overcooked, tasted like they'd been frozen since the Clinton administration, and the bread was burnt to a crisp. And don't even get me started on the ramen broth - it was MIA. I mean, if you're gonna name-drop ramen, you gotta bring the goods. We also ordered the Curry Chicken Katsu Bao, which was a flavorless flop. My family and I came in on Father's Day and had a great experience. After reading some of the recent reviews, I wasn't sure what to expect, but the food and service were both excellent. I can't remember my server's name but he was great. This was my third visit this year, and it's clear they're making changes to the menu. Personally, I think the updates have been for the better. One thing I noticed is that the chicken, which had been inconsistent on an earlier visit, was perfectly cooked this time with a nice char and lots of flavor. The Fish of the Day with tripletail and the BBQ spare ribs were both standouts. With the summer heat, I'd definitely recommend sitting inside. The dining room was comfortable and the AC was working great. The courtyard patio looks really nice too, but I'll probably save that for cooler weather. Just tried the new menu at 86 Forks with some friends and it's on point! We tried the BBQ Spare Ribs, Lobster Rangoons, Hummus and each got a noodle bowl. Everything was absolutely delicious and we're planning to come back and get only small plates next time so we can try more. I don't know much about sake but I know what I like and I loved their hot sake. A friend got the Some Like It Hot cocktail and raved about it.
