Did not know there's a new plaza here in Manteca! Came to try 88 Bao Bao for the first time and was good! Good food made fresh and friendly staffs (mostly). New place but maybe a bit small with seatings limited to 29 Max. Occupancy. Not too thrilled about the guest bathroom being only one stall shared by both genders. Guests (male/female) may need to inconveniently wait awhile taking turn to share the one stall. May be back to try different dishes next time.

Finally dim sum nearby! The restaurant is cozy and clean. It looks like you can dine outside too, but I didn't see any umbrellas to shield the sun. Yet the tables outside are actual dining room tables and chairs so aside from no umbrellas it looked comfortable. The bathroom is clean and easily accessible. After you are seated, then you can order from the tablet at your table. Then when you are done with your meal you go up to pay. The service is good and they give you a water pitcher with ice water too. The bao is freshly made so everything comes out hot and steamy, which is the best part about this place. Some other dim sum places serve room temperature dim sum, which I dislike. Pro tip is to order your dessert when you are ready such as after you eat, because as soon as your order it and they prepare it then the dessert bao will come out. We also got boba brown milk tea and they have a less sweet option which is great. They also have less ice option too. The drink was yummy. The boba flavor was yummy. The only thing was the boba was not as chewy as I liked it. Hopefully that was just an off day. All in all I am so thankful to have handmade dumplings nearby!

BBQ bao bao was ok, but not great. I won't order again but would like to try the ramen next time. Greet friendly staff and clean restaurant. I'll give it another try soon

There really aren't that many choices outside of Great Wolf Lodge especially passable Chinese food so this place kinda stands out. The food is not terrible but you shouldn't expect great authenticity. The restaurant feels more like they got the food from Costco and then heated up for you. My suggestion is that if you know what good Chinese food is, skip it but if you absolutely must have Chinese food then this place should wet your appetite until you head back to the Bay Area. They are more like Asian fast food place because omg the food came out fast (literally within minutes). Like I said, the food is alright especially if you are not picky and there are enough varieties to please most people. The place is kinda small especially if you have a party bigger than 4. The service is really attentive and you can tell they are not trying to attract just Chinese there so you should feel comfortable. You sit down and order through a pad on the table. Once again, it's ok food and a good alternative to the other fast food places in the area. This is not Panda Express in that you sit down and they serve food to you. The food has a shanghainese flair but I wouldn't call anything authentic. The best way to gauge is to think then as glorified Costco Chinese food.

Almost done going through my drafts lol. Not sure if it's because they are fairly new and don't have the system down yet OR if it's just a lack of common sense here. I placed an order for my table and tell me why the dessert order was the first thing to come out. Like I understand that everything is ordered at the table without a person but when you see a full order of food for a table, naturally you don't bring out dessert first. I learned from this experience and now wait until the end to order dessert on the tablet. As for the food the wrappers of the dumplings seem too thick and a bit undercooked. Maybe they are rushing them out because it's always busy there for done in and to-go orders. The orange and sesame chicken dishes are exactly the same item here only the sesame chicken has sesame seeds on top. That's very misleading to me. Anyways it's not especially crunchy, they should really work on that. As for ambiance there's not much to say. It's basically a fast casual where you order at your table through a tablet. Not an especially nice looking spot but good and clean enough.

This location is slightly different from the Pleasanton location I've been to. The menu is self service (run by a kiosk iPad at the table) and they have Hawaiian drinks they sell as well as beer. The menu is a little less Asian, and I see a lot of customers ordering chow mein. We had the squid (which was fried instead of grilled- would have preferred grilled) with the Thai chili sweet sauce. It was fine 5/5, and I appreciate them offering it since it's hard to come by. Xiao long bao was also juicy and fresh like usual with the usual great meat juices inside. I was pleasantly impressed to see Hispanic workers skillfully creating Bao! 6/5 Fried pork buns were also surprisingly good- maybe better than the Pleasanton location. There's were also pleasantly juicy 7/5 Guava and passion fruit juices $6, both severely unimpressive. Disappointed in the flavor. The chunks of guava did not contribute. 1/5

We ordered our food To Go tonight. This was our 1st time here. A few of our friends had already visited and said that the food was really good. I have to agree. Very fresh dishes that I will list in a minute with some pictures. DISCLAIMER - my pictures may not do the food justice since they are in To Go containers but the food was delicious. The plates that I saw going out to the tables presented the dishes very well. If you are eating in the restaurant - you order from your table on an IPad type of device. So you can order a few things and if you still hungry you can order more dishes. We had the Pork Pot Stickers - nice size and cooked very well. We also ordered the Beef Roll - very tasty! We had the Garlic String Beans again very good balance of flavor. The Shanghai Chicken Noodle Dish was pretty good. I thought it needed a little more flavor (just my opinion) - I added some of their Chili Oil and that gave it a nice bite. We enjoyed all of the dishes and will go back again for sure. FriendlyStaff also!!

This place was very busy Nice and clean You order right off the computer screen and than they bring the food out pretty fast I really liked everything except the pork buns just didn't have enough filling They only have one rest room and I'm sure it's not enough because I know it's going to get busier I'll be back to try more items

We went here for the soft opening. We tried their dublin location before so we were excited for this one. We had to get the xiaolongbao and also tried the black and gold molten lava bun and fhe pan fried pork buns. Service was fairly quick although they were busy. Our tablet to order food did turn off and we could not get it to work again but they took our order manually. The place is fairly small with a good look into the kitchen. A lot of people ordering take out. A good place to try if you have not. Go with a few people.

We finally have a dim sum restaurant in Manteca. We placed an online order and it was convenient and easy. Our order was ready to pick up in under 30 minutes. The place was packed when we arrived but the pick up process for online ordering was quick. Egg fried rice -- 7/10 needs more salt, it's more on the bland side but good portions. Orange chicken -- 7/10 good flavor, nothing special. Pork XiaoLongBao -- 8.5/10 the broth is good for a newly opened restaurant but we've had better dumplings in our opinion! Pan fried pork bun -- (my partner's order) 10/10 cooked perfectly with good portions of meat inside. Overall we enjoyed our dinner and will be back for sure.

Came by at about 8:10 pm and it was packed. All tables were full, line out the door for to go orders, and there was a small wait list for dine in. Wait for my party of 4 was about 10-15 min so it was not horrible. They had plenty of staff on hand but even then, they were inundated. Once we were seated, we ordered off the tablet on our table, which was super convenient. Water is self serve but they did not have time to add water to their dispenser so we had to wait about 20 min for water. Restaurant is small and clean and beverage options were either soda, some sparking beverages, or water. Staff tried to fulfill all orders and requests but since they were super busy, everyone had to give them some grace and bring their patience. Items ordered: Cucumber salad- great crunchy texture but needed to marinate longer. XLB- filling was fine but skin was too thick Tonkatsu ramen- A large bowl and plenty of ramen, an egg, bamboo, 2 pieces of fish cake, sprouts, and 2 slices of pork. Taste was okay and portion size was good. Chicken ramen- A large bowl with plenty of chicken, sprouts, corn, fungus and plenty of noodles. Taste leaned on the bland side and portion size was good. Popcorn chicken- just okay due to it being under seasoned. Steamed BBQ pork bun- 3 buns per order. Tasted fine Potstickers- probably my fav dish of the night. Same fill ing as the XLB but with a crispy, thicker skin. Overall 3-3.5 stars. Average food

WOW!! This place is amazing! The food is prepared fresh and delicious. The pork potstickers the best we have eaten! The orange chicken and rice fresh! The restaurant has plenty of seating and you can order on the kiosk at the table. So many selections. Thank you for the great service provided!

Friday, January 9th. Approx. 6:50 PM…read more OVERVIEW: Was at Lincoln Village to do some shopping, and wanted to try this restaurant for the first time and get some to-go food. Will probably go back again to give their Dim Sum a try. PROS: - GREAT LOCATION in the middle of Lincoln Village Shopping Center & lots of available parking spaces. - Ordered the Fried Garlic Chicken, Broccoli Beef & House Special Chow Mein. Good flavor & volume for the price. - This may be commonsensical, but while it was quite cold outside on this January evening, management kept the temperature of the dining area at a warm level. I bring this point up since a lot of restaurants in Stockton & Lodi have turned the thermostats of their dining areas down to cut overhead costs, but this place kept their dining area warm & comfy. CONS: - It seems obvious that they only have one chef working in their kitchen, since it took almost 30 minutes to complete my order. Sure, they had to serve other customers dining in, as well as handle a constant flow of pick-up orders, but since it was peak order time on a Friday night, they should have more staff in the kitchen to quickly support the order volume. - While I mentioned in the "PROS" section above, the food has good flavor and volume for the price. The downside is that the overall flavors are not outstanding nor memorable, which doesn't allow for much separation with other mainstream Chinese restaurants, serving the same dishes in Stockton. SUMMARY: If you're in the Lincoln Village area, want to eat Chinese food and are not in a particular hurry, this is a good place to park the car and sit down for a while. If you are in a hurry, better to phone in your order beforehand to cut the waiting time. Don't expect exotic food presentations and flavors, but don't expect massive damage to your wallet either.

The crispy shrimp balls were on the smaller end but they were still delicious. Their pineapple bun is also delicious and has a nice crisp texture. Their black bean spare rib with rice noodles isn't bad either but could be a bit more flavorful and seasoned more; most of the time it was bland. Walking in on a Saturday afternoon (it was almost 3PM when we entered), you're met with a check-in counter. The inside is decorated much like a typical Chinese restaurant: round tables w a lazy susan, dark moody carpet, and infrastructure/roof tiling on the back wall that makes it look like we're dining right outside a traditional cafe in China. We were quickly seated and brought a regular menu and a dim sum menu. I liked that the dim sum menu contained pictures for easy point and order. But instead of pointing like a normal person, I brought out my broken Canto to order and I think I impressed uncle enough to get a complimentary bowl of egg flower soup lol. We ended up ordering: - Orange chicken lunch special: this comes with white rice or you can upgrade to fried rice or chow mein for an extra dollar. SO upgraded to chow mein and the plate that came out was HUGE. Was not expecting such a large portion, but I am not complaining at all. The chicken was sauced perfectly and he said the noodles were aight. - Ha gow (shrimp dumpling): these had thicker wrapping, but the dumplings themselves were stuffed. Good flavor - Shu mai (pork and shrimp dumpling): meaty, yummy. The skins sorta stuck to the bottom container though - Fong zhao (chicken feet): super delicious, but only came with 3 measly claws - Ham sui gok (fried glutinous rice pork dumpling): fried mochi goodness with delicious meat filling (even if the filling was a little sparse) - Gou choy gow (chive dumpling): my personal favorite dim sum dish; the one here was not my favorite, but it did its job. - Salt and pepper pork spareribs: we ordered this as an alternative when they told me they were out of their pineapple custard bun (bolo bao)... don't ask me how I went from dessert to this, but I liked it. The meat was kinda thin, but the flavor was there. We happened to have our meal right when the staff was having theirs right behind us. So by the time we were ready for the check, we kind of sat around waiting for someone to check on us. Our total came to about $60. I noticed that 2 of the dim sum dishes were marked as "large", at about $6.10 per dish. I wish this was posted on the dim sum menu somewhere... I only saw the $5.50 price tag. Overall, Dynasty Garden nostalgically reminds me of home, so I would definitely return.

Dim sum all day, but if you order dim sum after 3pm then it's an additional +$1 on all items. Everything is made fresh to order and comes out PIPING HOT! [Beef chow fun $17.99] had a great wok hei flavor, don't be afraid to add soy sauce and chili oil on the table since it does need a bit more salt but the noodles are not overcooked in the slightest and the bean sprouts still have a nice crunch! Good flavor overall, I would get this again [Siu mai $7.25] and [har gow $7.25] were SO GOOD, nice meaty bites, seasoned really well and the wrappers were not overcooked, highly recommend. [Deep fried shrimp balls $8.25] were SO crunchy, crispy, a huge amount of shrimp inside, my mouth is salivating just thinking about it. Definitely need to add soy sauce and chili oil though [Bbq pork cheung fun $7.25] were GOOD! The pork inside is flavored so well and the rice rolls were chewy and not overcooked either! The sauce they add on top is also perfect, would definitely get again Pass on the [deep fried meat dumpling $5.45], the dough on the outside was a bit too dense and overly thick, almost bread like which I didn't enjoy. I wish it had a more mochi-like texture [Shark fin dumpling $7.25] had too much glass noodles inside, I thought it was still raw at first, but it was just a little mushy because of there being less protein inside. Pass [Salt and pepper wings $9.99] were okay, needed more salt and pepper flavor but they were cooked well! Would not get again [Bbq pork bun] was soft, crispy because of the sugar crumble topping and was so savory because of the delicious bbq pork inside! Highly recommend. [Salted egg yolk custard bun $8.25] were so fluffy, heavy on the egg yolk flavor, grainy but still smooth at the same time, really really good and highly recommend this decadent dessert. We also got these [deep fried custard dumplings] that had the same texture as the meat fried dumplings, except it had the most fragrant custard inside! Highly recommend.
