Holy yums. I'm just saying, this is exactly what Anchorage never knew we needed!! Sam and her crew have outdone themselves. So many amazing options for sandwiches, or just a coffee and bagel with your choice of spread! I love the concept of it being outside a brewery, and they have streamlined the pick up process for these cold days! Can't wait to see this place in the summer, go try it before it gets too busy!! Highly recommend.

Breakfast bagel, Girdwood girl bagel and tots.

Came here for the first time on New Year's Day. They are located in the parking lot of Magnetic North Brewery. The brewery was closed to plenty of parking available. My husband got a sausage egg and cheese bagel and it was good. I got the Girdwood girl added turkey. My bagel was delicious! It was very messy so I'm glad I brought it home to eat it. The tots were fresh. Good service. Ordered and the truck and they brought it to our car.

Build your own on everything with cc and tomato!

The bagels are great, I just think it's overpriced. Really pushes me away from coming here more often

Another fabulous Spenard gem!! I've driven by here hundreds…read moreof times, I've seen the "Bagel-Bagel-Bagel" sign out front but I've never stopped in......until TODAY! I'm not a huge bagel eater but every now and then I get a real craving for a REAL delicious bagel, and I usually just let it slide and wish we had great bagels in Anchorage. Today I was feeling determined and used the old "YELP" machine and searched for fresh bagels near me and up popped Wooden Spoons. Pleasantly surprised it's just a hop skip and jump away from my abode I set off on a bagel mission. The store is super cute and has stair AND ramp access so accessibility is spot on, easy to park as well. They have a variety of bagels and spreads as well as bagel sandwiches all at what I would consider a great price point for fresh bagels in Alaska!! I took home an Asiago and a Nordic bagel as well as a Dill Pickle cream cheese spread. The bagels were spot on, great flavor and amazing texture. I tried the pickle dip on its own and the flavor and consistency was perfect, but I did add some of my own smoked salmon to the spread to make a dill and smoked salmon spread and it turned out amazing. If you don't have your own smoked salmon they DO have a salmon spread you can buy and it looked super yummy as well. They also have day olds in the freezer, I did grab a bag of those to take up to the cabin and stick in the freezer up there so I'm stoked for that!! Last but not least the customer service was fantastic, and super friendly.

So glad Anchorage has a bagel place in town! They're aren't "perfect", but they're damn close…read more Obligatory high standard for NYC/WPB bagel opinions bleed over, so trust me when I say you need to get over to Wooden Spoon. I went here twice in one week because I couldn't get enough. They also make delicious homemade schmears with the garlic one being my favorite, it pairs perfectly with the onion bagel. Service is great, local, a labor of love, can't wait to make my next bagel run and maybe try a breakfast sandwich this time! Bagel bagel bagel!

A very nice selection of breads, meats etc to make sandwiches and yummy soups as well. Small…read moreinterior but has a cozy vibe to sit and enjoy your meal. Bakery goods are available as well. You pay when you order and they will bring your food to your table.

Unfortunate that this is the day I decided it was about time I left a review for House Of Bread…read more House of Bread is a lovely space, airy light dining room, and lots of baked goods, and artisanal-looking jarred goods. It feels very open. They have a menu on the wall, and a chalkboard with the types of bread available that day. Husband orders cheesy broccoli soup, and she tells him "it's not really cheesy broccoli soup, it's got lots of veggies in it too" ok, he says, but still orders a bowl. I choose Tuna Salad, and I select 14 grain as my bread choice - "sorry, we're out of that", so I then choose 9 grain - "sorry, we're out of that", and so I ask for marbled rye - "sorry, we're out of that too" I'm really quite surprised, as it's 12.30 like prime lunch time, and they're out of 3 breads already? Maybe cross them off your chalkboard, so you don't have to keep disappointing people. So i choose focaccia with my fingers crossed, and all was well. The order was complete at 12.36. We sit. We wait. Twiddling our fingers. By 20 minutes I'm becoming impatient, because I'm hangry, and the dining room is not that full - maybe 5 tables. As there are 4 staff working behind the counter (could be more round the back in the bakery) I think service could be faster, to dish up a bowl of premade soup, and assemble a cold tuna salad sandwich. Anyway i get my eye on the young man making sandwiches. He's not wearing gloves, is running his fingers through his hair, and touching his face. I see a sandwich that was on the top of the shelf, and it either fell, or he threw it, onto presumably a bench below, and then reach up angrily for a new bag of bread, I don't know - maybe he made it wrong, and was starting over. By 1.02, (26 minutes later) husband could take it no more and went to get a refund. This is not the review I expected to be leaving today, as I've never had service like this here before. I've never gone here before and had to choose my bread 4 times, due to them running out. I've never had to wait so long for lunch using pre-made ingredients. I don't know what was going on, but it's nothing like all the other times we've been here, and I hope it's a one off. If I go back and see the same staff, I'll just walk straight out again and avoid another experience like this one.

Hf Cranky Trky on Honey Whole Wheat. I recommend Great Harvest Bread or Sara's Too instead if you're looking for a good sandwich.

There was quite the line when we arrived (starting out the door), but they were quick with taking orders! I took this as a great sign. My partner got the Reuben and I got the Smokin' Mo Sandwich which is brisket, cheese and bbq. Finally some good brisket in town!! It was so good and tender. I was very happy with my order. It comes with a pickle which was nice and garlicky mmm mmm! Chips and slaw are optional sides, but I didn't partake. I also got latkes as I haven't had them since I was a child. They were good. They come with the traditional applesauce and sour cream. I found the portions generous - I came home with half a sandwich and 2 latkes to eat for dinner. The place is clean and has plenty of seats. They do breakfast all day. They also have Dr Browns soda from NY available by the can or case. The pickles can be bought too and all of their meats by the pound. We plan on coming to get some of the by the pound meats at another time. Staff was very friendly and helpful with answering any questions we had. Will definitely be back.
