This establishment ranks among Annandale's top all-you-can-eat BBQ spots. The prices are fair, especially given the quality of the meats and generous portions. Though it is all-you-can-eat, their excellent dipping sauce, signature lettuce salad with unique seasoning, and side dishes--unlike those at some other local places--show a commitment to high standards. The service is praiseworthy; our attentive server made sure the BBQ plates were regularly refreshed, preventing any burning. They expertly grilled and skillfully sliced the meats into smaller portions for us. Even the suction from the grill pan was so strong that we left without smelling like BBQ. Every aspect of this restaurant is excellent, and I highly recommend it.

I would come back here just for the ssambab! Unlimited ssambab M-F which I missed since I came on a weekend but just ordered the a la cart version of it. The spicy pork is really flavorful and I love all the veggies it comes out with.

    Sesame dipping sauce - delicious!!

This was our second visit (the first visit was during throes of Covid) and our first time opting for the all you can meat option ($29.99). We came early afternoon on a Saturday and there were still a few open tables. Despite some idiosyncrasies, we enjoyed our meal and will be back. The meat options include beef brisket (but was not available when we here), pork belly, bulgogi, chopped marinated beef steak, marinated boneless pork ribs, chopped marinated pork steak, spicy boneless pork ribs, marinated spicy chicken, marinated chicken and beef intestines. You can order two meats at a time. We tried the pork belly, bulgogi, beef steak and spicy chicken. My favorite was the pork belly (so we ordered a second round of that). We also especially enjoyed the beef steak. Curiously, the meal comes with only one bowl of soup, even if there is more than one person at the table. Scrambled/steamed egg comes in a separate bowl, for adding to the soup. The meal also comes with a bottomless banchan tray. I liked its light macaroni salad and the banchan vegetables were very good. Each person is also provided with a covered bowl of white rice. The award for best flavor of the day goes to the sesame sauce that you can drizzle over your meat, rice and vegetables. The restaurant staff cooks the meat for you, frequently coming over and stirring/turning over the meat in the grill on your table. They were pretty good about that, except for one time when they forgot about our meat cooking and the chicken was burned black. They did give us a replacement. But overall, service was excellent and attentive.

It's been awhile since I came here but when I did I enjoyed my experience. I just came with a friend for a quick nice meal and thats what we got! Service was good but I would say the ambiance kind of didn't match the vibe. Like it's so dark and stuff but I would consider this more of a homey place. Perhaps their night life is popping? idk but I should try the bbq next time.

One of the more affordable AYCE KBBQ spots in the DMV, but not sure I'd be back anytime soon. The pork belly and brisket were the best cuts out of the ayce.

' Way gah gib' that's how it's pronounced. Had to ask because I'm not proficient with Korean spelling and pronunciation, but I know food! If you've never been here before, or not familiar with the area, you will miss this place because it's tucked behind a Mexican restaurant. It's not fancy by any means, but the meats are really good and so is the dip that is provided. It's sesame based for sure. It comes with 4 types of banchan and a delicious salad to share for all. There is the option to get soup and steamed egg. If you want more than one bowl each, it's extra $2.99 a serving. The soup has a little bit of a bite so be wary if you don't like spice. I love spice and thought it was just right. The servings of meat are quite plentiful. We got the pork belly, marinated steak, spicy boneless pork rib and beef brisket. That was enough for the 3 of us. They also cook the meat for you! That was kinda nice. They dont stand there the whole time, but they come back quite frequently, adjust the burner if necessary and let you know when meat is cooked. They are very efficient. We didn't need to wait for anything. Thay have another side menu with pancakes, rice cakes , mandu, and more, but that's extra cost. Not necessarily needed at kbbq, if you want the grilled meat. You can also ask from garlic and jalapeño on the side, Would definitely dine here again if I. The mood for kbbq.

If I could give this place 10 stars I would. This has become one of my favorite restaurants. The staff is quick and tentative. They have a great selection of meats for the all you can eat with brisket being my favorite. The Bulgogi and marinated steak are also great options. What makes this place so amazing is the sauce they give you and the soup!! The soup is a must try!

    Smelled rotten and tasted BAD

This was, without question, the worst experience I've ever had at this restaurant -- and I've been here over 10 times. Let's start with the bill: automatic gratuity has always been for parties of 6 or more. Since when did you start forcing it on parties of 4? Forcing customers to pay extra without transparency is dishonest and unacceptable. Now the food and service: I know exactly how your green salad and bean sprouts should taste because I eat them every single time I visit. What I was served tonight was spoiled -- it smelled rotten and tasted bad. When I asked politely for a new plate, the server glared at me and snapped, "WHAT'S UP WITH IT?" Then challenged me with, "HOW? We just made a new batch." Excuse me? A paying customer should never be interrogated or disrespected like that. If the food was fine, why would I bother to ask for a replacement? Instead of apologizing, he brought another plate that was just as bad, shrugged his shoulders, smirked, and walked away. No apology. No respect. Nothing but arrogance and rudeness. This is beyond careless -- it's insulting. Food that tastes spoiled is a health risk, and a server who laughs at customers and dismisses their concerns has no business working in this industry. To make it worse, you automatically added a 20% tip to a party of 4. On a night like this, that server deserved $0. Forcing customers to tip on top of terrible service is pure robbery.

    The host

Saturday, March 15 @ 8:00pm, we walked in and wrote down my name for 3 people on the waiting list, there were 2 names ahead of me. A party of 5 and a party of 3. I stood infront of the counter and waited patiently. A few minutes later, a party of 3 walked in, the host who was standing behind the counter knew the person and did a fist bump, the man asked if there was a table for them, the host asked for how many, the man said for 3, without even telling them to sign in he had them seated right away. I asked the host whats the use of the waiting list if you were just going to seat people you know right away? He said that group was on the list, told the him that's not true because if he was here before, you would not have asked how many were in his party. The host could not say anything for he knew he messed up. No apologies whatsoever. I dont mind waiting, I have waited for 45 minutes for a table in other places. But it was done correctly, no playing favorites for people you know. It was not our first visit here, the food is always great and thats why we always eat here, but that might change after this, the experience left a sour taste in my mouth. Not sure if he owns the place or not, but if he does, then he is setting a poor example and it reflects badly on the restaurant's integrity. If he doesn't own the place, then management should be aware that favoritism like this can drive loyal customers away. I understand that regulars and friends might get special treatment sometimes, but when there's a clear system in place, it should be followed fairly. The whole point of a waitlist is to keep things organized and ensure that everyone is treated with respect. This experience was really disappointing, especially since we've always enjoyed the food here. I hope management takes this seriously because no matter how good the food is, unfair treatment like this makes people think twice about coming back.

How much for all you can eat lunch & dinner?

Anyone know if they sell the sauce they use for the meat there or know what's the recipe?

They do not. I haven't even found anything that comes close in to what it taste like. They should tho

    Is this place open yet?

    Yes

I know that they closed down on Aug 1st for renovations. I was wondering if they have reopen yet?

Greg, I did not know that they were closed for renovations. Thanks for letting me know. I will…

Someone tell me how to make their Shabu Shabu sauce? The dipping sauce for the meat .. SO GOOD I DREAM ABOUT IT ... not really but you get the idea

I think it's a combination of various health code violations #TotallyWorthIt

Hello, What type of meats are included with the all you can eat option?

They have things like brisket, pork belly, chicken, and tripe. There are two other beef options I believe, but I forgot what they were

Do they have ddeok bossam with their kbbq?

If you mean their All-you-can-eat option, then no. I believe they do have it on their regular menu though.

What is the dressing they put on the salad?

We make it at home, here's a recipe for a small batch for a meal: 3 cloves garlic or 3 tablespoons of bottled garlic…

What was the sweet rice water they give you at the end of the meal? That was so good! I want to know if I can get it in a can or make it myself

It's a sweet rice punch or sikhye in Korean - you can most likely find it at HMart which is just around the corner from Oegadgib :)

What was that sauce for dipping any meat called?

    Shabu shabu

We ordered a spread: gyoza with sweet and spicy sauce, kimchi pancakes, fried shrimp, soy garlic wings, takoyaki, LA galbi, and jjampong with noodles... plus way too many drinks. We arrived early and scored prime seats by the bar, which turned out to be perfect, especially once the night shifted into more of a club vibe with a DJ. The energy was great, and most of the food was surprisingly delicious -- everything hit except the jjampong. We were expecting udon noodles, but it came with thin, clear noodles instead, and the flavor was a bit off for us. That said, the staff handled everything perfectly, and it didn't take away from the rest of the experience. Between the food, drinks, and nightlife atmosphere, we had an awesome time and will definitely be back. If you're looking for a spot that delivers on both taste and fun without compromise, this is it.

I really hate leaving negative reviews, but I think people should be aware before visiting…read more JMT has a clean environment and is usually a fun place to watch games. Unfortunately, I have not had a good service experience here. I visited a couple of times during the World Cup because of their advertised drink specials, and both visits ended with us being overcharged. When we questioned it, the staff gave what felt like the same rehearsed explanation each time. Before ordering, we specifically confirmed with our server that they were running the $5 rail drink special. By definition, a rail (or well) drink is made with the house liquor and a standard mixer. At JMT, however, you'll be charged extra for every little addition without anyone telling you beforehand. A splash of cranberry juice or tonic water resulted in additional charges that were never mentioned by either the server or the bartenders. On top of that, a 25% gratuity was automatically added despite our server being largely inattentive. Throughout the night, we repeatedly had to get up and ask for things ourselves, and not everyone at our table even received a cup for water. To make matters worse, both their menu and website clearly state that automatic gratuity applies to parties of 8 or more, yet our party of 6 was automatically charged 25%. When we brought these concerns to our server, he spoke with the manager, whose response was simply, "That's how we do things here." He explained that he wasn't familiar with the drinks because the bartenders determine the charges, and that it would be difficult to void and reprocess the bill. We were also told that they always add 25% gratuity for parties of 6 and that, in their view, a rail is simply a shot rather than a mixed well drink. Those explanations directly contradict both common industry terminology and the information advertised on their own menu and website. I understand that restaurants and bars get busy, and mistakes happen. What was disappointing was being told that they've been operating this way for a long time instead of acknowledging the inconsistencies or updating their advertised policies. That reflects poor management more than an isolated mistake. It doesn't feel good to invite friends somewhere only to have everyone end up paying more than expected because the advertised specials and gratuity policies don't match what is actually charged. I can't say how often this happens, but after experiencing it on multiple visits, I'd strongly recommend reviewing your bill carefully before paying.
