There is a big line, only one cashier working, when I asked if they can open another register, then said Noo with a big nasty and ratchet attitude

Great selections, shelves are stocked, long lines, employees are rude, check operation dates on the food

Come on clean it

I love this 99 cent store but if you need to make a quick pit stop while shopping don't go into the restroom. It's horrible and disgusting Update 8/7/17 Restrooms are still a mess spoke to "ray" the manager and apparently they don't have seat covers for the restroom now they have the bags of toilet paper on the dirty floor

Paging poppa meet me at the check out line!0!

This is really a great store. I can not believe that they have some of my favorite snack and they are actually a dollar. They have strawberry big league chew and barbecue corn nut. They even have something I though would be horrible but are quite pleasant to my taste buds, cheddar chesse pringles sticks.

There's nothing more appealing than a neatly laid discount store. Since this store is brand spanking new, everything is neatly organized and in ample supply! I was happy to have a discount store open so close to my parent home. It's so accessible and convenient....this may be my new favorite spot when I go home. This used to be a church and it works so much better as a discount store....I know I'm horrible.. Pros- Neats Loads of merchandise Really cute finds! My sister got the gorg mason jars with mini chalk boards on them..SUPER CUTE! Aisles are organized. Ample parking. Cons- Staff is a bit inexperienced. They aren't really sure where the product is located. One of the workers told us the completely wrong aisle to find their glassware. Not a lot of carts. Kind of first come, first serve. Not enough for the foot traffic. Lets see how long it can stay shiny and new

Empty shelves throughout each isle. Where is the restocking?

When I saw the sign that a 99 cent only store is coming to where this old church used to be, I couldn't wait to shop here. I usually go to the 99 cent only store on Hawthorne and a few blocks from 120th street. So I was happy that I don't have to travel that far to get discounts. When store first opened months ago, it had stuff that I didn't see at other 99 cent only stores. Which is great. It was very clean. Which is great. Most of the shopping crowd I encountered were elderly and retired. The rest were people like me...decent respectable shoppers. Which is also great. The workers in the store are hit and miss. You can tell by the ones who are happy to actually have a job. They will smile at you or ask if you need any help. Then you have the ones with attitude, that will look at you like you are crazy when you ask them what isle blah blah blah is or any question. Well guess what? None of the isles are categorized. So it's only right to ask someone who works there. Duh. Also, there are two parking lot entrances/exits on 85th street. One near Crenshaw and one far from Crenshaw. If you want to use 85th street exit and you are turning left, DO NOT USE THE ONE NEAR CRENSHAW. Traffic is usually backed up on east 85th. If you use 85th street exit near Crenshaw and you are making a left turn down 85th, it may take you a while until traffic clears. If you want to exit on 85th street and turn left, always use the 2nd exit far from Crenshaw. Traffic usually doesn't affect this exit/entrance. Despite that, the good outweighed that bad few. The best way to tell if a 99 cent only store is great is when you go in there for one thing and come with a billion other things lol. That's how things initially were. Fast forward to now. The store shelves are empty on about 20-35% of each isle. I'm not sure if this is attributed to benefits day on the 1st of the month for welfare recipients or what. Maybe they bought up all the good stuff. I don't know. But I couldn't find anything I wanted. Also, I went on lunch break. There are teens loitering inside and outside the store. It is a school day. These are school hours. These teens should be in school. Yet this store is now a loitering spot for teens cutting class. Sitting on cars in parking lot. Intimidating the elderly and retired crowds who frequent this store. I was walking around store, texting on my 128gb iPhone 6. One punk turned around like exorcist. I was thinking to myself if you even try to take anything of mine, I will give you the ass whipping your parents should've given you. I also noticed that a lot of items on the shelves are being pilfered. There are thieves every where you go. But come on? Every isle I walked down had some packages torn opened with most or all of the contents missing. At least 6 pkgs per isle. Even the cheap condoms on the end of the isle had boxes torn open and condoms stolen. Wow. People are putting their freedom on the line for 99 cent merchandise lol? Where is loss prevention? Where is security? They don't even have security. Ugh this is Inglewood. There are some bad people who live over here as well. Customers are shopping here with no security. This proves that if you put something nice in an area where bad crowds have easy access, they will destroy it. Can't believe this store went down like it has, so fast. My mother actually liked going to this store until today. She told me that she will resume going to her old 99 cent only store on Hawthorne. Because she doesn't feel safe at this store. I hope they improve it. Bad employees need to get rid of their attitudes. Get some security. Restock shelves. Handle the chronic shoplifting and loitering problem.

There produce section was horrible. Fruit flies and rotten fruit.

This 99 cents is the best! They have many things available. Their fruit and vegetable produce is my all time favorite here.

It's apropos to its location. Wouldn't want to complain about this store too much; imagine not having other options (locally).

Big and clean. I got lucky and found organic cooked beets that I saw at Costco for 99 cents. Great selection and friendly staff.

First time coming to a General Discount store. I'm used to shopping at 99 cent stores. They closed…read moredown this year. So I'm still looking for a good alternative. This is definitely not it. Came here to get some turkey basters, some stationary products like paper, pens, pencils, markers, and any other cheap stuff I don't need. That's exactly how I shopped at 99 Cent store. Most of the cheap stuff here is doubled the price that would've been priced at 99 Cent store. So this is not a good 99 Cent store alternative. Example: Turkey basters were "on sale" for 99 cent (they were sold out). But they were sold out. Reynold's aluminum foil was "on sale" with required coupon found in paper (they didn't have any papers in store), for 99 cent. Luckily I had my paper that was in my junk mail. As the regular price is over $3. They must be crazy. This is a discount store. I expect discount prices. Otherwise I can go to Vons or Ralph's and pay some change more for the same brand. Their selection for cheap stuff under $2.00 is slim. Most of the 99 cent stuff is "on sale" for a certain amount of time. Most of the good sales that are shown in the paper are out of stock. I barely found stuff that was useful for my needs. Because they have such a small selection of stuff in comparison to 99 Cent stores. Aisles in store are narrow as ever. You will have to turn your body sideways so others can squeeze pass you and your cart. I'm slim and still had this issue. Parking lot is shared with tons of businesses in shopping area. But there is plentiful available parking, especially on a Saturday morning at 10am (store opening hours) when I went. But the parking spaces are small af. You will get door dings or give door dings from getting out vehicle. I noticed a lot of people taking up two spaces. I guess so they won't get or receive door dings. Lastly, I read some bad reviews about a store Latino male security guard who watches everyone like a hawk and will confront you if your purse is a backpack or a designer bag and demand that you leave it up front in a cart. Well, I didn't encounter him. There was a black male security guard working Today. I didn't have any issues out of him. There is also LPAs who follow folks around the store. I'm guessing that this store experiences a lot of shoplifting. Because LPAs (loss prevention agents) were deep in here and watching everyone like a hawk. The cashier was friendly. But there was only 1 cashier opened. So lines were long. Bottom-lime, I won't return. Next time I'm in area, I'll try out Dollar Tree, located in shopping center across the street

My new favorite store. How did I not know this existed?! lolz…read more I found Grocery Outlet because VegoBears are these really cute & fancy LA gummies that I was on the hunt for for Christmas. They sell at Erewhon for $6 a pop and they were at the Grocery Outlet for----NINETY NINE CENTS. Oh my gosh, I'm sad I already bought some for my friends at full price! WTF. This store is amazing, I was able to get adorable, fancy food items to put together cute baskets for my friends as presents. Before going, I downloaded the app and was shocked to see all on sale. Amazing deals for sure on items I actually buy and also a lot of cool and weird promo items. Cinnamon Toast Flavored bacon~?!?!?! Like wtf? I want to try it. Many items are very high quality, name brand stuff - just be sure to check expirations on food items. This location has a huge parking lot and is around a ton of other stuff in Inglewood, so it's convenient. It's also very organized (except for the clearance section but that's to be expected) and clean. Bring your own bags or pay 15 cents a pop for them. They have everything here from liquor & produce to tons of other food items to even having flowers and clothes plus random toys & home goods. Just a few examples of some of the cool items I got: Grinch Cookie Making Kit $3.99 VegoBears Santa Monica, Malibu and Venice $.99 ($6 at Erewhon, $5 at Whole Foods) Creative Kids Blippi Toy Set $5.99 ($35 on Amazon) Ted Lasso Uno $4.99 ($14 on Amazon) Disney Wish blind bag Doorables $1.49 (retail $9) Cinnabon Frosted Cinnaring $4.99 ($9.99 at Ralph's) Stok Peppermint Mocha Cold Brew $2.99 ($6.99 at Target) Just a few examples of the great savings they have! This is a really fun grocery experience for my fellow bargain hunters and I! Lolz. I heart Grocery Outlet and will hundy be back!

My plan was to bring the painting to life by writing an inspirational quote on it with the paint. I probably spent a good 30minutes deciding which colors will go better. I also got some butterflies to stick on this painting. I was in love just thinking how this was going to turn out. On my to the register I grabbed a few bags of chips since they are cheap here. My total came out to about $40. When the cashier told me I couldn't believe how cheap it was. She proceeded to ran my credit card only to tell me that the machine was not reading the chip on the card. I have knowledge with cashiering so I asked her very politely if she could insert the card number manually. Her respond was that her manager wouldn't allow it. I asked her if could make an exception since I was purchasing a good amount of merchandise. She called her manager through the speaker (MINA) and to my surprise she said no. Okay now what really upsets me was that they didn't value my patronage. They weren't willing to take me serios as a customer. I don't know if I want to come back to a business that treats me this way.
