I don't mind being told this but it's not what you say it's how you say it and this person was rude AF!!! Today July 17 around 5:40 PM I was actually have salted/ass by this random man at the store I was looking at party decorations by the children's toys I noticed this man staring at me, and then I kept feeling him looking at me and lingering in the same area and I noticed he just kept putting his hand in his pocket going up and down staring, walking up and down the children's aisle touching all the kids stuff, with his hand in his pocket doing the same thing I went to the people who worked there and they pretty much had nothing to tell me shrugged their shoulders said they can't do nothing not even to the extent of telling him he needs to get out of the store. I have never felt so traumatized, by going to the 99 Cents store in my life when I proceeded to call the police they are requested if I wanted to stay there in all reality why would anyone want to stay in a place where something like that just happened especially with that person still there and even the representatives of that store, not doing anything to even comfort you in any type of way parents mothers fathers please be careful letting your loved ones go to the store. Definitely if I had somebody with me something would've definitely of happened differently. I just cannot believe that this happened at this location in Norwalk nobody did anything. read more

This location is cleaner than most of the other 99 cents only stores in the area. The location has plenty of parking, so you're not scrambling for parking, and don't have to worry about your doors getting dinged. The vegetable section is one of the best looking of all the stores that i visit. I like the fact that they have shelves where the produce is kept chilled, and it's not just one small shelf, but as long as the refrigerators. The vegetables are mostly fresher than the other stores nearby as well, and that section doesn't have a stench like one of their other stores on South Street. They maintain their store very well at this location, as most of the aisles are neat and clean, with the exception of the toys, but then again, when it involves children, there's bound to be a mess. The lines are never really long, and the employees are also very friendly and helpful. read more

In an economy when department stores are closing, budget friendly grocery stores own most of the grocery market, discount retail stores like 99 cents store / Dollar General / Dollar Tree are doing A-OK. Just look at their stocks! I grew up going to 99 cents store, and it is a walk down memory lane because I remember writing about it in my 2nd grade journal. Despite the 2+ decades that have since passed from my journal entry, it is still 99 cents with the exception of several items which are conspicuously labeled. What I give props to this particular 99 cents store is -- the store is huge. Like over 14 aisles or more (I feel like most stores are near 8/9 aisles?). I don't know how big their average store is, but I feel like it's almost double the amount of items and the variety is greater. It's located in a busy shopping center so it's more than possible you could stop by Target/ Rite Aid grab a bite and spend an afternoon there. I didn't experience rude employees unlike other reviewers. Surprisingly for its extensive stock-- The one item I usually get is milk (lactose free- which like the rest of the half gallon/ gallon sized milk isn't 99 cents FYI) wasn't available. Actually it did not have a sales tag so I am not sure if they do carry it. I guess I'll need to go somewhere else, but still, a neat find! To anyone reading who work for the company-- They should label this their largest store if it is the largest store or make improvements to make it their "flagship"-- grab some attention/ more foot traffic! read more

This 99 cents only store is the best one in the area. We came here to get some stuff for a Halloween party at home and were pleasantly surprised by the selection. They have a good candy and decoration section here. I also liked how it wasn't too busy and we didn't have to wait too long to check out. Definitely check this spot out for decor and good eats for the holidays. They have ample parking and a bathroom for customers which are two huge pluses for me. read more

Well!! Who would have thought about this place? It seemed like they have a lot of good stuffs in here. isles and isles of organized things from household to foods. Some was cheap made but others were practical and useable. I came in just strolling around for fun and came upon to this section. I found a glass protector for my phone for just $.99 wow I normally ordered it from eBay , but it looked the same as you have ordered from stores. I know reviews on these stores are irrelevant but maybe 1 person will think twice. Local .99 cents store sold Father's Day Mylar balloon 2 pieces each. I thought I'd get some and asked before purchasing if they can be blown up before Father's Day. Kind of what party city does. I was told yes. I bought them a week or so before. I called today to make sure they had helium for these balloons, I informed who ever answered about the balloons and was told "no!" We don't fill up balloons only the ones they already had in the store... I explained that I was told I could but ok.. I'll return them since I have no need I don't want them anymore she said , "nope it's seasonal we don't return!" And to read policy online. The entire shopping plaza where this store is located has some sort of cell phone jamming device in place. Anytime I have lunch here or shop here I get no service and miss phone calls. most people woudnt rate 99€ stores so high, however this 99 was clean and well stocked. this as our first time visit to this 99.staff yvonne was very sweet,helpful and went the extra mile to find all our holiday favorites. caesar at the register was very kind and welcoming, even with my 100+items. thanks caesar and thanks yvonne.. we did run into an issue with the manager for the day a lady by the name of ana. she was very rude and unhelpful. she went the extra mile to embarrass us and belittle us in front of other customers. this was not appreciated and would be the only reason not to go back to this 99. it would be helpful if she had some training on customer service. read more

This is the largest 99 cent store I have been to. Its clean and there's lots of great things for the home. They have a large produce section in the back. 99 cent spinach and strawberries! Also a great place to get gift bags or party supplies. read more

Came to this store to browse around. I'm a big fanatic of the 99 cent store. However, this store was horrible. Asked someone for help got a rude attitude and eye roll because I asked where a product was. Not sure if it was because the 2 ladies were talking and I was interrupting them. From what I know the 99 is known for customer service. This store sure falls short. When I asked to speak with a manager I was given the run around then when she finally came out. She wouldn't state her name until I asked again. She mentioned Damita. Very rude manger not sure who does their hiring. Corporate really needs to take a second look at what they hire because this manager is giving the company a bad name. I'll try a different one or visit the nearest dollar tree instead to avoid these types of moments. Corporate please recheck ur management. I truly love u guys but the managers are horrible. So at first, I was going to write a simple review based solely on customer service.... but seeing as the person before me "Verenice" decided to go out of her way to be nasty, I decided to leave a more detailed review. my mother and I went in on a rainy day, it was pouring outside. We normally do not come to this .99 as we do live in Santa Fe Springs. But we were in the area and decided to stop by on our way home. We get to the register and the young lady, Deborah, who was not only friendly, but also helpful beyond her normal duties was very kind. She offered to stay with my mother while I drove my car to the front of the store so she wouldn't get wet. The plus? She spoke Spanish so she kept my mother entertained while I brought my car around. Thank you Deborah... I hope you can read this one day. As for the young lady who left her a bad review, one look at her profile and its obvious she's vindictive as she has gave more bad reviews than good ones and all based on customer service. Even going as far as calling a waitress "fat" so sadly rude. I hope that the .99 Cents Only stores managers can understand that there are people out there that are just mean for no reason. The best 99 Cent store in the area. This store seems to have much better stock than the other nearby 99 cent stores and it's always very well kept. It's also much larger than the other stores since this particular building was previously a full size grocery store. I shop here weekly and highly recommend it. read more
