Packed today, I ran in for Christmas bags items to place in our Saran ball game.... nail file, hair bands, outdoor lights, car wipes, etc... plus cute little gag gifts.... Check out staff was friendly and efficient.... lines were long but pretty quick... parking was at a premium because the place was busy.... If you take your time you can find some cute things... I found the cutest nut crackers $1.99 so them at Home Depot for $7.99 read more

Beware people!!! Someone is stealing your credit card info from the Redlands store. Happened to me in minutes after I left, 2 charges for a company called Wa Fan Tuan. Message everyone i know to warn them about this store and friend told me she used her debit card there and there was a counter-check for Avon on her acct. So this is happening many times. I did call store to let them know, let see if they do anything. Beware - I will never go there again. read more

I really enjoyed going here until they started to let companies come in with reps to sell phones. I was minding my own business when a man came up to me telling me about the phones without me asking and was very, very pushy about me coming with him to hear his pitch. I just went in there for 5 cans of pasta sauce that I use when I make American Goulash, or Lasagna. Got to chat with a couple of the customers, and found what I wanted. Cashier was really decent, and friendly. He liked it when I shared my recipe for my English Muffin Breakfast Sandwich (Egg, Ham, Swiss Cheese, Jalipeno Pepper on a toasted English Muffin, with Crystal, or Valentina hot sauce - did I just share it with you?). It was raining today, so I didn't really have that much time to check out the rest of the store. Yelp showed a health code of A with 4 violations pending as of 2/15/22, and I always drop a star for any violations over 3, so add a star if the violations (none really serious) end. Redlands is by far the worst 99 Cents store' I have ever experienced. It is unclean - interior and exterior, an awful location, a homeless hangout, a poor selection of products, minuscule produce, dairy and frozen food sections. This is just a few things not good this store; population 72,000+. I live in Redlands and travel to the Yucaipa store to shop; population 54,000+. When I go to Palm Springs I bring along a cooler and bring home fresh produce, etc from the 99 Cents store in that city; population 48,000+. Both the Yucaipa and Palm Springs stores: have fantastic produce, dairyand frozen foods sections. Their cleanliness is far better than Redlands. The product selection and quantity is also better. I denote the population of each city because I'm perplexed as to why Redlands, the larger city, has the crappiest store of the three cities. read more

This is a great location. They definitely have some nice stuff that Dollar Tree doesn't, and they've started having a few things even less than 99 cents now! For example, I now go here for Hamburger Helper boxes. At the grocery store, they're around $1.30ish, but here, they're 80 cents. I always love their holiday aisles. It's a great place to find cheap decorations for any holiday. The downside is that it's hard to find staff who can help you find something. read more

Several times I've tried to purchase items off the shelf that did not have a yellow price sticker. That always implies it's a 99 cent item. However when you get to the register it's not. The store is usually unapologetic about the error. read more

Worst 99 store EVER! Came to buy 52 glass cups. They won't wrap give boxes and the manager Wendy nava wouldn't even try and hear me out when telling her that glass would break she said then return the broken glass. Are you kidding me? Return rather than offer any bags or boxes not even a newspaper. I'll never come again. What happened to good customer service?! That's probably why this store only has 2.5 stars! The best place for everyone who's on a budget though things have changed over the years and not everything is 99 cents anymore. They are starting to list more items up to $8 an item. For a discount store, this place is clean, merchandise are properly displayed. Not in disarray or overstocked and thrown on a pile anywhere. This is a very well kept and sanitary store. They have produce in the rear from the entrance, canned food items along the aisles, holiday decorations, wrapping paper, toys, storage supplies. The patrons seemed comfortable as they shopped. Taking their time, not rushing or being rude. The cashiers are friendly. I would just say a larger selection of their fruits, vegetables would be great. I dropped in on a Thursday afternoon, so I'm not sure if what I saw was what was left of a last shipment. But, I would come here again. Well kept stores have something to say for themselves. 1. Store is so dirty and sticky. 2. Produce is 70% Mexican produce. Pesticides, bacteria, cartels, no thanks. 3. Expect lines to be at least 3 deep. 4. Always panhandlers and druggies outside. 5. Speak English PLEASE, you cashiers. 6. Often they are out of 10cent bags and you are forced to buy 25 cent+ ones. Nice trick. 7. Most canned foods cheaper at walmart or staters. 8. Occasionally some amazing wines, loss leaders. 9. About 1/2 the carts are filthy or broken. Hire a Mexican handyman to pressure wash 'em!!! 10. Get rid of bright white fluorescent light. It's like a hospital. 11. Some workers seem like they hate it there. Newbies are very nice. 12. No one asks you if you need assistance. 13. Don't ever buy ANYthing cosmetic or hygenic here. Most of it is made in China and other untegulated shitholes. 14. I cant buy my ammo here or my organic juices, but I can get some deals here, but really be sharp and perspicacious when shopping. 15. No hand sanitizers. Germ nation!!! 16. Other 99 cent stores are clean, organized, better selection. This store seems to be poorly managed. You can see this. I went into the store today looking for a spray bottle I decided to ask an employee. My mistake he just kept walking and only shrugged his shoulders and shook his head in some manner that made me think he was having a seizure. I said thanks for the help asshole. Quality customer service. How about they lose their jobs and hire grateful caring people. Maybe that's out of your budget. All I know is just because you're selling discount merchandise doesn't mean you need to hire discount people. There are literally hundreds of people who want and would be grateful for one of their jobs. Maybe the store manager should remind their employees of that. read more

I was most impressed that they have Minion birthday party decorations. I went in for an inexpensive calculator and they have quite a few to choose from! I also browsed the school supply aisle, medicines, and holiday decorations. The store is well stocked & very organized. The check out lines move quickly. I will definitely come back! read more

I've been to this type of stores a few times and every time I get something that is made out of glass they cover it with paper before putting it in the bag. Well not tonight, not only was the girl very rude she actually rolled her eyes just from me saying if they could get wrapped since I was buying so many. She had the stinkiest attitude not to say the worst blonde hair job I've ever seen. Anyways back to the subject this girl was on register #4 and her name tag didn't even have her name! It's my go to place! I can get a basket full of stuff for under $20. Ya, some of their stuff is $1.99 or $2.99 but you'd pay way more for that same item somewhere, anywhere, else!!
