The $14.99 menu is perfect for the 55+ crowd with plenty of decent options. It's your typical chain atmosphere. If you like a rare or nearly rare prime rib, do not order theirs. It was so dry that I just couldn't eat it. The chicken teriyaki was a repeat order that was enjoyed once again. Final point just watch what you order and you'll be fine. read more

We love getting take and delivery from here - there are so many delicious options! The potato skins and chicken wrap are faves but today we decided to try out the pulled pork mac & cheese, and seafood stuffie. The mac & cheese had good flavor and the pickled jalapeños gave it a nice kick. I liked the crunch and texture of the seafood stuffie but my fiancé was not the biggest fan. He is definitely in love with the potato skins, so I'm glad we got those as an app. If you are able to pick up at the restaurant, I definitely recommend ordering directly from their website so you aren't charged the delivery app up charge. I go to 99 restaurants due to nostalgic reasons. Service has always been great in everyone I have been. Food is ok if you are in the area but not to travel to go to this location for. No one can really do things like they used to. Made an online order. Two burgers. Called with the name on order and order number and asked to have the buns put on the side because it's a pickup order and online won't let you make notes on your orders. They said they would make that happen. Pick it up drive 25 minutes home buns are on the burgers complete mush. You would have seriously thought we asked them to learn rocket science. I've worked in the industry. Not that hard for a simple request on an order. Makes you think if they would get it right when being informed of an allergy. Unprofessional on the staff. The food was great! The service was fast and professional and the ambiance was just wonderful with a real sincere effort to support the community and sports in the area. The prices for the 4 meals was very reasonable for the quality of the food. The steak tips were tasty and tender, the coleslaw was perfect just as the country fried chicken was moist with a perfectly breaded Panko crust. It was a Tuesday at about 6 pm and you know the food is good when a huge parking lot had limited parking spots. It was a wonderful meal and all 4 of us were happy with our meals. The dessert was also top notch. A moist vanilla cake with layered strawberry topped with whip cream. Check out the pictures. If you haven't been here, i recommend it. So First Off Despite the 3 Stars I give 5 Stars and Two Thumbs Up to the waitress and staff the $4.99 Margarita is really good The Haddock with the Seafood Trio is delicious the shrimp was over cooked and kind of chewy but the Haddock was seriously delicious I give that a 5 Star all day the Seafood Chowder was extremely creamy its good as well but definitely room for improvement the Fisherman's Feast The Coleslaw, Seafood Chowder and The Seafood Stuffies were the best part of the meal the fried schrod and the fried shrimp were over taken by the breading and really didn't have any flavor everything was $56(Without tip), I got 2 Margaritas wifey got a Sprite and we got the Seafood Trio and Fisherman's Feast to split we will definitely be going back to try 99s Steak,Burgers and Ribs and I look forward to (hopefully) giving this 5 stars in the future read more

I sat at the bar and ordered their Fire Grilled Cobb Salad: Romaine lettuce, roasted sweet corn, crumbled bleu cheese, smoked bacon, chopped egg, fire grilled plum tomatoes, asparagus and grilled chicken and served with chipotle honey mustard dressing. The salad dressing was to sweet and rather unremarkable - it sounded better than it actually was. There was a 99 restaurant conveniently located in the parking lot of the hotel in which we were staying in Dover NH so my daughters and I took the short walk over for dinner. We were presented with a bowl of fresh popcorn as we were seated which didn't last long, our returned shortly thereafter to take our order. As a starter we order the nachos. They came out in ~10 minutes and were very good. I wasn't very hungry and ordered the black bean burger sans bun which came topped with pico and guacamole. I thought it was pretty tasty. This relates to the Dover NH location. We sat at the bar as we usually do, around 6-7pm on a Saturday night. It was not overly busy. Our bartender/server was not overly friendly, but the real kicker was when collecting our tab. Our bill was $50+ and we put in a $12 tip, all cash. A respectable 20% tip for slinging us 2 beers and our entrees. The bartender asked if we needed change, we said no it was all set, and she replied "ok" and grabbed it and walked off. I love the 99 for lunch in Dover, NH. My 92 y.o. Mom and I dine here frequently for lunch. We just wish they would serve Potato Soup here!! I used to really enjoy going to the 99 once in a while, but the last couple times I've tried, it's been very disappointing. We ordered takeout once during the pandemic and the steak I received was so tough and rubbery it was literally inedible- I couldn't even cut it, and ended up feeding it to my dog. We dined in today for the first time in a couple of years and learned that the menu has been reduced by about two thirds of what it used to be, and there's nothing particularly impressive left. I had chicken tenders and fries, and while there was nothing really WRONG with the food, it wasn't anything to write home about either. We ordered takeout here and the food was so disappointing for the cost. I ordered the royal sirloin and it was over cooked and had no seasoning whatsoever- it tasted like a dirty grill. I've gone here a few times and everything has been decent. Tonight was absolutely terrible. I came in for food and drinks, ordered a drink, and then waited over 30 min for the bartender Jordan to come by so that I can order food. I ended up putting my card out ready to check out so I can go somewhere else with better/any service at all and of course that took a while to happen. I was a bartender/server for 6 years in a similar type of restaurant, I understand you get busy.. but a customer shouldn't have to almost grab the hostess to have to cash out in their tab. This place has only 3 stars, and I can see why...service!! The greeting was fine and friendly along with the server. But the service was awful. We got seated 30 minutes prior to closing. When we got seated the server asked if we wanted a drink and some popcorn. Jordan checked on us after the food was delivered to bring us ketchup. During dinner I finished my drink. I asked Jordan for a refill, and she said ok. Watching her run around I was thinking she'll bring my drink at some point. But it didnt happen. It seemed that clearing tables was more important than attending to her customers. She was more focused on her closing duties than finishing her job as a server. When I mentioned to her she'd forgot my drink refill and the popcorn, her response "I know, I'm sorry, I got busy". What? Are you kidding me? Isnt that YOUR JOB...to remember your customers needs? Do you think giving lip service is acceptable? By the other reviews on Ninety Nine restaraunts, bad service and attitudes are quite common. If you've never eaten here, be prepared for a first time, last time experience. Hopefully you don't get a bad server like Jordan. The food was great, but the service just simply sucked!! How hard is it to remember a drink refill? Not very! My tips had some pieces that had gristle and they were a little rare for medium rare. My friend's steak was also undercooked as it was also too rare for medium. The only reason I give this place a terrible review and would give worse if I was able too is because the manager is not a family man and treated me as if I was a lesser person and spoke to my children in a bad way which I did not appreciate. The employees seemed to be embarrassed by his behavior and the other guests definitely did not appreciate how he spoke down to people. I really enjoy 99 restaurant's and am considering opening one in my area but the way one of the managers at this particular location handles people because of his own insecurities is disappointing. I've been to tons of 99s in my life and never have been treated so poorly by a hostess followed by a manager. I was skipped over 5 times while waiting to be seated then asked to speak with a manager. After speaking with the most insincere manager I've ever spoken to in any industry I was offered a free app. I declined this offer as the real issue was the hostess and front end of the location. The manager consistently made excuses as to why it happened rather than being professional and accepting responsibility for their locations error and addressing the actual issue at hand. The only member of the staff I was thrilled with was the server who did a fantastic job. I would not recommend this 99 location to anyone. It's well worth the commute to go somewhere else. read more

99 Restaurant is a good place to get a nice meal at a good price. I had the Sweet Chipotle Chicken meal which was a relatively new addition. It is a chicken breast rubbed with chipotle and cinnamon and roasted. It is served with Andouille cream sauce and a potato and vegetable. I found this to be tasty and not overly spicy. It is a good light fare to eat in place of a larger steak meal or such. Service was very good. The server was attentive but not intrusive. She knew when to bring a refill on the drink and reviewed the options on the menu. I also ordered the mango mai-tai which was tasty but a little on the weak side. A small pet peeve of mine is establishments like this one that do not list a price for their premium mixed drinks. The server knew what the margaritas cost because they are on special. But she was not sure of the Mai-tai cost (and it is nowhere to be found in the menu or elsewhere). This is by no means unique to 99 Restaurant as I have seen this many times. If the prices are not published, then the serving staff needs to know the prices for sure. It was $7.29. Really they should just publish the prices as they do for everything else they sell. This was my first time at a 99 Restaurant and I would have to say that I prefer 99 over Chili's or Applebees any day. Maybe because I've eaten at the latter way too many times, but I've got to say that 99 does have some decent choice's on their menu. Their service at this 99 in particular was also pretty good. I've been to this specific location twice, both times we had horrible service from both the hostess and the servers, the food wasn't good and it was pretty expensive!
