Had an awesome surf and turf here before a show downtown. Server was excellent and food was perfectly cooked. They always present a great steak cooked just as you ask. Solid steak chain here.

There was a 15-20 minute wait when we arrived but no problem. This is my first time here omg steak, fries, corn and of course the butter rolls were so delicious. The prices are very reasonable, the service was excellent and the atmosphere was great. Definitely would be returning in the future.

The waitress was nice and was speedy at first until she got other tables. Then she would speak to them for what seemed like hours and forget that we were there. Food was good, but I ordered the Chicken Critters and Sirloin and didn't realize they made the extra onions and mushrooms not combined with the extra peppers. So I paid even more for the peppers.

Had heard a lot of good things about this place. We both had the prime rib with sides. Prime rib was decent, sides were good. The lighting was horrible. I felt like I was under a sun lamp or those bulbs that keep food warm. Just look at the photos. The waitress was excellent. Don't know if we will go back.

Let's stay with checkin: we went at prime dinner hour so we expected to wait. Checked in and was impressed that due to Covid they did not give you one of those restaurant pages, but took our phone number down to text us. Sure enough, a little after they said it would take, we got the text and were seated. So 4 stars only because the person that seated us promised to bring is their dinner rolls when they became available. Of course they forgot and we had to remind them. Not a big deal, but if you are going to forget, then don't make that promise! Ordering, waiting, and dining were great. Food was excellent and tasty. See the pics. I always very the rub eye so that was what I ordered. I had read on reviews that sometimes they under cook your steak so I went with medium well got closer to a well done which wasn't too bad. Steak was tasty. While we were waiting I downloaded the app and saw we could have made reservations on the wait list. Also when the check came I didn't pay to much attention to it other than the bill. After paying I saw that I could have just paid the check using the app as the check had our dinner code on it. Note for the next time!

I recently ordered takeout from Texas Roadhouse. i had ordered a 8oz sirloin and a 12oz ribeye. the sirloin looked pretty small for an 8oz so i weighed it at home and it's only 5.88oz, now i know that steak weighs less when cooked but it's still a super small steak to be an 8oz. the ribeye i had ordered only weighed 8.68oz which is an insane drop in weight for it to have been "cooked off". now when i had called i also mentioned to the lady on the phone that i had only received 2 rolls as well. she said that she was sorry and forgot to put in the other 4 rolls before handing me my order. super nice woman and helpful. 10 minutes later i get a call from the manager who had asked me what had happened. so i had explained the situation again and when i had mentioned the fact we only received 2 rolls she lied over the phone saying "i watched them pack the bag myself" when in fact i was standing at the window when the young lady packing it and also confirmed that she had accidentally forgot to put the other 4 in over the phone. so for a manager to sit here and lie to a customer is out right wrong. to only get a "partial refund" which was $15 out of a $70 order total. absolutely ridiculous of a manager. not helpful at all and lies to customers.

Service was great We loved our server Sean and it was fast. but I asked for my burger well done and it was bright pink they offered us free apps but by that point I was ready to go and no longer wanted to wait We loved our server Sean though and it was fast.

Disgusting! Food was cold, overcooked, wilted salad and the worst service of any chain in the area. Dont bother!

We went for our birthdays which are a few days apart. Service and steaks were good. But every app and all the sides were ice cold.

We frequently pass through Kittery, often stopping at Kittery Trading Post and Bob's Clam Hut, but…read moreon this trip we ventured off of Rt. 1 and discovered a little hidden gem...The Black Birch. This quaint gastropub doesn't look like much from the outside, but inside, this seems like a place where locals are regulars and tourists are happy to get a table at this "no reservations" joint. It's dark inside (no photos) and a little cramped. The bartenders are serving double duty mixing and pouring drinks while also playing DJ and spinning vinyl records. And it felt like everyone inside was exactly where they wanted to be at the moment...enjoying each other's company and sharing drinks and food. The menu is about the size you would expect from a small kitchen - a fair number of appetizer dishes meant for sharing, and a handful of entrees, ranging from casual to a bit more refined. The grilled cheese and tomato soup ($19) was made with a hearty artisan bread that hit the spot on a chilly evening. Similarly, the coq au vin ($26) was classic comfort food, with perfectly cooked smashed fingerling potatoes surrounded by a rich, decadent reduction sauce smothering meaty mushrooms and soft pearl onions. Note, the coq au vin did take a long time to prepare, so not the dish to order if you're in a hurry. A couple of not-too-sweet lemon ricotta donuts (with chocolate sauce) was a great way to end the meal.

Well, I'm happy that they were because dinner here was SOOOO good! The bartender helped us choose a bottle of champagne to start. We shared everything. One of each of the deviled eggs each. The maple cranberry was interesting. The sour cream chive one was to die for! The ricotta gnocchi was elegant and fluffy. The sauce made it over the top. The ribs were good, but I'm a Midwest girl. They just don't compare to back home. The clam linguine was seasoned perfectly. It was quite filling. We ended with the Apple Olive Oil cake with maple ice cream. The cake itself was quite dense and dry. The ice cream helped. I would not order this dessert again. Service was quite SLOWWWW, and for no reason as they weren't very busy while we were there. There were long gaps between courses and then once we were finished we kind of just sat there for a while. The food was worth it but something is not running efficiently and could be improved. Still giving 5 starts because it was so good and everyone was welcoming.

We looked at it today and I think the menu looks really touristy, sort of like Weathervane or Newick's. Lots of fried seafood platters, and not much that seems interesting or creative, but maybe there's a page of specials that isn't in the window. This could be a good move for the owners - summer's coming and in Portsmouth, that's tourist season. Tourists come to Portsmouth and say things like "I'm on the ocean, I want seafood." Portsmouth isn't on the ocean but that's okay, whatever makes the tourists happy. I look forward to trying Portside Seafoods and I hope it's surprisingly interesting and fun. Quick edit (7/10/10): Portside Seafoods was open for a month or two, was sold, and is now under renovation. Again.

"I do not want a pickle ... I just wanna ride my motorsickle."…read more Dropped in with my old man and my brother and sister-in-law for some brew and some hot food. Three inches of snow had fallen in the last four hours; cars' tires were spinning a bit, people were slippin and slidin on the slick of the downtrodden snow on the sidewalks, and a general white-ness filled the air and the sky. You could see the cold. Which is why, of course, that I was in desperate need for fried pickles. Mmm-mmm. Pickle chips doused in batter and fried to a deep delicious golden brown with Texas tartar sauce and buffalo wing dip. Tasty. There's a good selection of beers in this joint and, to my delight, the left coast was represented with Anchor Steam and Sierra Nevada. I opted for a Smutty Nose Pale Ale with my pickles. The pulled pork quesadillas were tender and tasty with a sweet, tangy BBQ sauce and pepper jack with a huge dollop of sour cream on the side. My only gripe was that they were served on a thin piece of butcher paper that, upon getting more and more damp in the process of eating the damn thing, would come off in pieces and inevitably get ingested with the rest of the forkful. %DV of Wood Pulp? 100! Apparently there's a FREAKIN' MASSIVE platter of orgiastic proportions called THE SQUEALER. I can't say that I'd ever try to partake in this, but essentially it's a veritable shitload of pork on a plate and you gotta eat it ALL in an hour. If you're able to complete this formidable task, you get it free. A line of photographs by the front door shows some people who had accomplished the feat and others who had not. What was amusing to me was how many big, fat guys wearing baseball hats failed, and how many cute young women emerged victorious. Yay, you go, girl! Enough. Good place, pleasant atmosphere, good food. Pass me those damn fried pickles, please.
