Hadn't been to a Texas Roadhouse in well over 10 years, decided to swing in here after a doctors appointment for a late lunch/early dinner last week, upon arrival, we noticed that they weren't open yet, we decided to wait the half hour for them to open at 3:00pm. We were seated immediately, had a great server who brought us some delicious rolls with cinnamon butter, offered up her opinions on what to order and asked if we'd like to pick out our own steak from the case. She was thorough, kind and helpful. The restaurant filled up quickly, which was surprising for a Monday afternoon at 3, the bar was full, there was a line at the door waiting to get in. I will never willingly return to a Texas Roadhouse. As someone with a dairy allergy, dining out can already be a challenge, and unfortunately, Texas Roadhouse made it even more difficult. Their menu is heavily butter-based, which limits options, but I decided to order the BBQ chicken after notifying the server of my allergy. He said he needed to check if the cooktop could be cleaned of dairy and whether the BBQ sauce was safe. Fair enough--but then he disappeared for 10 minutes before returning with an update. When the food finally arrived, there was no allergy indicator on the plate--no toothpick, flag, or verbal confirmation. Most chains at least mark allergy-safe dishes. It was clear my chicken had been prepared early to avoid cross-contamination, because by the time it hit the table, it was stone cold. I had already cut into it before realizing, so sending it back didn't feel like a good option, especially since I was worried it would be dry if reheated. I ended up just eating the fries, which, thankfully, were good. Also--what happened to the iconic peanuts? I remember the floor used to be covered in shells, and now they hand you a pre-packaged bag like you're at a school lunch. I'm guessing it's a cleanliness or allergy policy change, but it definitely takes away from what used to be a signature part of the experience. I understand that Texas Roadhouse has its fans, but if you have dietary restrictions or food allergies, I'd strongly recommend looking elsewhere. Food was good, but I ordered the Chicken Critters and Sirloin and didn't realize they made the extra onions and mushrooms not combined with the extra peppers. Let's stay with checkin: we went at prime dinner hour so we expected to wait. Checked in and was impressed that due to Covid they did not give you one of those restaurant pages, but took our phone number down to text us. Sure enough, a little after they said it would take, we got the text and were seated. So 4 stars only because the person that seated us promised to bring is their dinner rolls when they became available. Of course they forgot and we had to remind them. Not a big deal, but if you are going to forget, then don't make that promise! Ordering, waiting, and dining were great. Food was excellent and tasty. See the pics. I always very the rub eye so that was what I ordered. I had read on reviews that sometimes they under cook your steak so I went with medium well got closer to a well done which wasn't too bad. Steak was tasty. While we were waiting I downloaded the app and saw we could have made reservations on the wait list. Also when the check came I didn't pay to much attention to it other than the bill. After paying I saw that I could have just paid the check using the app as the check had our dinner code on it. I recently ordered takeout from Texas Roadhouse. i had ordered a 8oz sirloin and a 12oz ribeye. the sirloin looked pretty small for an 8oz so i weighed it at home and it's only 5.88oz, now i know that steak weighs less when cooked but it's still a super small steak to be an 8oz. the ribeye i had ordered only weighed 8.68oz which is an insane drop in weight for it to have been "cooked off". now when i had called i also mentioned to the lady on the phone that i had only received 2 rolls as well. she said that she was sorry and forgot to put in the other 4 rolls before handing me my order. super nice woman and helpful. 10 minutes later i get a call from the manager who had asked me what had happened. so i had explained the situation again and when i had mentioned the fact we only received 2 rolls she lied over the phone saying "i watched them pack the bag myself" when in fact i was standing at the window when the young lady packing it and also confirmed that she had accidentally forgot to put the other 4 in over the phone. so for a manager to sit here and lie to a customer is out right wrong. to only get a "partial refund" which was $15 out of a $70 order total. absolutely ridiculous of a manager. not helpful at all and lies to customers. read more

The salad was great, the cicken was so overcooked it was dried out, the loaded baked came out cold with a drop of sour cream and shredded cheddar thrown on it and never melted. Green beans were good though. We called to waitlist at 1:30. When we drove there we let the hostess know we were there and she checked us in and said about 10-20 minute wait even though we called to waitlist (which really means nothing). The hostess told me they were running behind, but that we were next. Funny after i said something she called my name. Service, food and atmosphere at the Newington, NH was terrible. Never going back. This was probably one of the worst experiences I've had at a restaurant ever. No food poisoning though... so far. I called ahead because we were a big party. We go there on time and then left us standing in the front for thirty plus minutes. I was told twice, word for word "it'll be just a couple minutes we're just cleaning off the tables". A couple other larger parties came in after us and sat down before us. Then we were finally seated in the most cramped space, gave me an infant seat without a buckle. The waitress was slow and forgetful but friendly. However, after we sat another large party sat next to us. They ordered after us and got their food before us. We waited almost an hour for our food, and it was room temperature at best when it finally showed up. At that point I said we needed boxes and a check because I'm not waiting any longer for them to do their jobs. Packing up was near impossible because they sat us in a booth with an added table meant for mayyyybe six comfortably and they had nine of us there. Way too small. The food was subpar, the service, though friendly, was garbage. My wife and I arranged to meet two relatives here and we arrived at 5:30 on a Wednesday night. We were told there would be a 30-35 minute wait. We were waiting for the rest of our party to arrive, so that worked out well. Our two fellow diners arrived and ten minutes later our device activated to let us know the table was ready. We quickly saw that there were many free tables throughout the large seating area. She explained that the wait was due to a lack of staff rather than full tables. Apparently in this new service economy eateries can't hire enough employees willing to take abuse from spoiled customers for too little pay. Go figure. The greeter walked us past a cooler displaying cuts of meat and asked if we wanted to pick out a steak to have cooked for us. We declined, figuring if we had a steak we would prefer it be a stranger and not one we had met personally. The server had grabbed some bread as she led us to our table, and that was warm and delicious as always, though it came with the usual too sweet butter. Their standard bucket of peanuts in the shell were waiting for us on the table. Our youngest diner had a few of those while we waited. My wife and I had eaten a large lunch so we stuck to appetizers. My house salad came soon. It was generous and included feta cheese crumbles the server had offered. It was a great salad. I had also ordered a bowl of chili, which came later with the regular entrees for the others, so that was fortunate timing. The chili was good, with the red onions and grated yellow cheese. The server offered more bread, which we let him bring (he later offered even more bread, but we demurred that time). There was their brand of table entertainment, where an impromptu mini line dance broke out for a few seconds, and a few times some clapping and shouting for birthday diners erupted at nearby tables. What prospective employees wouldn't want to take part in that fun!? What more to report? The rest room was clean and the parking lot was large enough to handle the crowd. We passed on dessert, so the final bill was reasonable was four people. We may not be back in the area visiting, but if we are I would be willing to go back to this branch of Texas Roadhouse. I believe it surpasses Outback for quality and value in a steakhouse. read more

This place is always busy! My husband & I figured we would get an early dinner on our way back home. It was 3:50pm & the parking lot was pretty full. We stood & waited by the hostess stand for about 7 minutes before we were seated. There were 3 groups ahead of us. Our server, Sam, was friendly. She was a bit soft spoken & looked down a lot, but she was good at her job & checked on us regularly. She did, however, completely forget to bring my husband his side of chili. It was supposed to be served 1st along with the house salad that I ordered. By the time he got it, it was cold, but he ate it anyway. His steak was cooked to the correct requested temp of med-rare. I had the Chicken Critters with steak fries. It was good & I brought the leftovers home. I didn't feel like having a steak or anything else on the menu. I don't usually go to places like this but chance would put me in the area and I thought a steak would be a nice thing. It was a Saturday night around 8:30 so I figured the place would be a madhouse and I was right. This place is huge The staff was working at a feverish pace. Despite the crowd we were seated within ten minutes. Warm sweet rolls were on our table with a cup of cinnamon butter. Our waitress was very nice and attentive. Looking around it was evident that this place was designed to look western in the likes of a Disney World theme park. A well orchestrated machine designed to make maximum profit. Then all of a sudden I hear shouting coming from one of the waitresses from across the restaurant standing on a chair announcing that it was someone's birthday! "Can I get a YEEE HAW!!!" It was at that exact moment I realized was in dining hell. Where am I, Chuck E. Cheese? Oh well, when in Rome. I just sucked on my beer which by the way was more glass than beer. I thought to myself I'm getting too old if I complain about how heavy my beer mug is. Anyway, we watched the cacophony that was our dining experience as two more birthday explosions took place. I told my wife that if you ever do that to me It would be ground for divorce. They actually drag out a horse saddle on a wooden frame for the birthday victims to sit in! I'd rather be shot. Anyways, I digress. Our meal came in in about a half hour. The steak was excellent but the string beans were mushy and in a smoky sweet liquid. That was a no go. My wife got a chicken Caesar salad and found it acceptable but didn't care for the dressing. All in all I found this place amazing. One of my favorite places to go for steak & spare rips, again and again and again. Fall of the bone rip live up to its name and the steaks are cooked to perfection. Try the combo appetizer that's a little bit of everything. My favorite appetizer are the rattle snake bites. The Patrons were right in complaint after there food was served to the wrong customers and they were still waiting on there food a half hour after the mistake.
