If I could give A-1 Appliances of Rocklin six stars, I would. I don't often post reviews, but my husband and I were truly impressed with the customer service we received from our salesman Garrett Mesquita and his colleagues. We are having our kitchen remodeled and ordered new appliances (Counter-depth fridge, dishwasher, oven and microwave) so that everything would be updated and match. Garrett explained the differences in their appliances to help us decide what we wanted. Knowing that supply chain delays were a potential obstacle, we placed our order as early as possible. Garrett kept us updated on status and let us know when their warehouse received each item. A-1 stored the appliances for months at no cost and delivered right when they were needed. Our kitchen contractor will be installing the appliances, but advised us to have them unboxed when they arrived to check them for damages. The delivery team was very patient and helpful and suggested that they put the boxes back over the appliances after we checked them over to protect them until they are installed. Everyone we dealt from the moment we walked into the store until the appliances arrived was extremely helpful and professional. I do not hesitate in the least to give this store a hearty recommendation. read more

Your review should make the **installation experience** the main issue, while acknowledging that the purchase itself was good. I'd make it firm but factual: I had a good experience purchasing my JennAir refrigerator from this store, but unfortunately, the parts and installation experience was extremely frustrating. 1. Missing Part / Lack of Confidence in Ordering: The store completely missed ordering the trim piece required to cover the compressor, which was only discovered after the installation. When I asked them to order the missing part, I was told they would only order it if I accepted full responsibility and no-refund liability if the part did not fit my refrigerator. Think about that for a moment: if the company selling the refrigerator is not comfortable standing behind the part they are ordering for the refrigerator they sold, that raises serious concerns. 2. Installation Was a Nightmare: This is a custom JennAir refrigerator that requires cabinet panels to be installed before it can actually be used properly. Initially, I was told the installation could be completed within a few days and an appointment was scheduled. Later, I was informed that they had a refrigerator installer available, but no panel installer, and the installation would therefore have to be pushed out by another two weeks. That created a major problem because a panel-ready refrigerator is essentially unusable without the required panels. I had to scramble at the last minute to find someone who could install the panels so that we could actually use the refrigerator. Overall, while the initial purchasing experience was good, the parts ordering and installation process was extremely disappointing. For a premium refrigerator and a significant purchase, I expected much better coordination, ownership, and customer support from the company. read more

Great company, i normally interact eith Bob and always good. Somehow Bill started calling me and bill is rude. He yells and cusses. Today he called me on my day off asking about corporate changes demanding questions, then ge called me a f****** a**h*** and hung up on me. I have talked to management about bill doing this before. I purchased a $13,000 (not by choice required for our hookups) refrigerator. In less than 1 year it stoped working. No fault of A1, took a while but part was replaced and worked great. Now we are less then 2 years in and the motor is out again. I have left numerous messages and emails for our sales person who never responded. I called again yesterday and he answered, I was told nothing was received but he would have someone call me to set up an appointment. Someone did call. Left a message saying she didn't know what the service was for but she was told to call. Not good. So I called on my lunch break, stayed on hold for 5 minutes and was disconnected. I'll will follow up with where this goes but so far not impressed. Neither the sales person or customer service seem to care at all. read more

If there was a lower rating, I would give it. I would NOT recommend buying anything from A1 Appliance. Two years ago we did a kitchen remodel and bought all of our appliances from them. We had to have our microwave/convection oven completely replaced after less than a year. They came out 5 different times to try and fix it but the same problem kept occuring. I will say our sales rep Julia was great but we both had to fight for this replacement. Then a few weeks later, our dishwasher door broke. Every time we would close the door, big chunks of plastic would break off. Took them 3 weeks to get a replacement door but they did fix it. Then about a year and a half ago we purchased a washer and dryer from them. The washing machine broke this last week and needs a new control panel. When I called A1 to complain about this and try and get a service tech to come out, the employee said it's not a problem with A1 but with the manufacturers. Three different products from three different manufacturers breaking down within 2 years of purchasing them?!?! Sounds to me like they may be selling second hand products. Either way, I will never purchase anything from them again. Lesson learned...buy the extended warranty. read more

We were shopping for an induction cooktop. I called ahead to the Rocklin store and on arrival we were promptly greeted and all our many questions were thoroughly answered. A working demonstration on one model was included. Our salesman, Kevin, is professional, knowledgeable and personable- a pleasure not always encountered and much appreciated. We were offered assistance in locating an electrician to upgrade our wiring and they have a delivery/installation company that they coordinate with when the cooktop arrives in store. This was a very positive, painless shopping experience that was made better through their excellent pricing- several hundred dollars below retail at the big box stores and online. read more

We recently remodeled our kitchen, and selected a suite of appliances at A-1. They did a great job for us in several ways. First, they honored their original quote, even though we didn't place our order until six months later. Our house is at the bottom of a steep grade, and they handled the difficult delivery and installation with ease. As luck would have it, there was a factory defect in the freezer, and A-1 provided us with a loaner refrigerator the same day that we found the problem, even though they had to divert a delivery team late in the day. They knew their stuff and knew it well. Some precise modifications were needed, and they executed perfectly. I decided to search for appliance shops to the west of me since I had exhausted all of the Reno possibilities, and was not interested in purchasing from a big box store. I called A1 after seeing that they carried an extensive selection of pro ranges. I spoke with Kevin, who patiently answered each and every question I had. He offered me his contact information which I liked, since no one appreciates being hassled when it comes to making decisions about a big ticket item. This was the worst experience I have ever had in purchasing an appliance. I purchased a Miele washer and dryer from them and it was a problem from the beginning. The salesman ordered the wrong model and then it took quite alot to get that fixed with numerous phone calls. They don't answer their phone and if they do, it is normally the Yuba City store that answers. I was given misinformation as far as when to expect the appliances and I had to wait alot longer. When they finally came in and delivery was set up they had the worst delivery company ever to delivery and install my machines by the name of Arumbula. They threw out one of the shipping struts for my washer and also the wrench that came with it to remove the struts and adjust the feet. One week into using the washer one of the feet literally fell off while the machine was operating. It turns out the delivery company did not adjust the feet correctly and loosened them but did not tighten them. I finally got the owner (Brian) from A-1 involved and he could have cared or less. He never called me back as he said he would and he did not do anything about getting the washer ajusted and getting my missing parts back. After my first email and phone call to him I never heard back from him as promised. When I tried to reach him serveral times he never returned my calls. I finally had to contact Miele and notified the installation company and had to keep calling that owner to get my missing parts back which he had to get from Miele as he had thrown mine away. This was a horrible experinece and I would NEVER purchase from A1 again. They just don't care and don't have a clue about good customer service. It is too bad Manuel Joseph closed. They were my go to for appliances and a great company. read more

AMAZING EXPERIENCE from beginning to the end! After our Samsung fridge decided to die after less than four years, we were left with the obstacle of finding a new fridge. We decided to stop at A-1 Appliance after we left a nearby store. We were promptly greeted by Kevin and asked if we had any questions, etc. After browsing the store, my husband and I had a few questions regarding model differences, availability, etc. Kevin was knowledgeable and answered all of our questions. We liked Kevin's non pushy attitude and didn't feel pressured to make a decision right then. We came home and researched the refrigerators and had a few more questions. My husband called Kevin and once again he was there to help with all of inquires and didn't pressure us to buy. We ended up purchasing a Bosch from A-1 Appliance. They delivered our shiny beauty the same week! In addition, they showed up within the two hour window they quoted. Unfortunately, I was still fighting with Samsung regarding warranty on our fridge, so the delivery guys were unable to take the hunk of junk with them. The delivery guys did; however, move it into our garage for us. A few weeks later the issue was resolved with Samsung, so we could dispose of the old refrigerator. We stopped in to see Kevin to purchase an extended warranty for our new Bosch and purchase a few water filters. While talking with Kevin, I asked if they could pick the old refrigerator up because we had no way to haul it to the dump. Kevin, once again came through and scheduled a free pick up. Brent and Evan showed up within the quoted time frame to pick up the junk fridge and haul it away. Kevin, Brent, and Evan were all AMAZING! My husband and I can't say enough good things about all three of them and their STELLAR customer service. We will definitely be purchasing all future appliances from A-1 Appliance in Rocklin. I had them come out to take a look at my ice maker and within minutes told me the whole thing would need to be replaced for $425. I worked on it for 20 minutes and found a small plastic piece had broken. Fixed it myself. This place is either a scam to just collect as many $49 service fees as possible or just get the most $ out of their customers. read more

by far the worst appliance company i've worked with. my property management contacted A1 to replace my leaking dishwasher. A1 never called to schedule with us a time for them to come replace it and they would just show up unannounced multiple times while we were not home. the one time they did catch us while we were home, we were on our way to my boyfriends grandpas funeral and they assured us it would only take 20 minutes. the dishwasher they brought was broken and they couldn't install it properly. they used our dish towels and left them on my counter soaking wet, left the dishwasher and told us not to use it since it was broken. they even turned off our hot water without letting us know, so we've been without hot water in our kitchen for 3+ weeks waiting for them to schedule a day to come & replace it. i've called and spoke with wendy multiple times and she keeps scheduling me on the wrong days and assuring me that they will be there i certain days and it never happens. this company needs to work on communication, scheduling and integrity. what a disappointment read more

Been waiting for my GE Cafe and range cover since February and was told it was on back order due to Covid. Called pence a month to check on the status and was told in June that it has been sitting in their warehouse for the past 2 weeks! No call, nothing! Scheduled a delivery date for last Wednesday between 3-5pm..... only to have them call and cancel due to a refrigerator problem with another delivery! Rescedule for first thing this am and no call no show! Called the delivery guy, it's his day off and will try and have someone deliver it today. No call back with confirmation! Called A/1, no answer, only voice mail. I paid a lot of money and have taken time off work for this and no compensation whatsoever! Worst company I have had to deal with! read more

Very disappointed, was there on a Monday, only one sales person, and he was working with a couple. Waited 20 minutes, he knew I was there, needed to buy 5 appliances for a new home. Wanted to see what type of pricing I would get for a bundle. I went on A-1 Appliance's website to see and compare appliances and then called the store and talked to Brian to place my orders. When the appliances were delivered the installers arrived when they said they would, they were efficient, made sure everything was working properly, and were really nice guys.
