I bought almost new used 2025 Camry hybrid. Went there to get Uber Driver certification. I told service man I had the new license plates in passenger seat. They did certification but listed the old dealer plates. I said can I borrow screwdriver on site so I can put on new plates. He said no he can't lend out equipment. This place is fantastic! They are honest, go above and beyond, reliable and well priced. I took my car here once when I thought there was a problem as a woman they could've easily gotten over because The Car did make a noise, but instead of that they talk to me a bit found out I had just moved into town from a very dry climate, and the noise was likely an adjustment to the humidity we were experiencing. Sure enough it went away and my car has been fine... I also brought in another car I purchased from some jerks that screwed me over. Once again, they refused to take my money and told me the paperwork that they gave me looked Shawty. The gentleman spent some time on his computer, looking up details on the title they gave me and other things and told me instead of spending money on the car, go to the DMV and get the paperwork straightened out. Make sure I could registered in my name legally and then come back and he would start working on things in order of priority... I had previously taken the car to BMW and they gave me a huge list of things making it seem like The Car was going to fall apart. While The Car did need a lot of work that I wasn't told about at sale, this shop didn't take advantage of the situation... I don't know anywhere else that would do that. I've had a couple oil changes here and the price was right without any coupons or specials just consistent, fair pricing. Today I took it in for some regular maintenance... Transmission, flush, brake fluid, a cap and something to do with the exhaust needing to be welded. Previous place that pointed these things out was gonna be a fair price but they weren't able to do the work. I drove here to A1 right after And they got me in right away. I showed them what the other place advised I needed which I knew it was time for based on mileage and time of last service. They were able to get right to it... Originally they told me they couldn't do the emission part and told me where to go. But then while servicing my car they found They could take care of that with a welder they had in the back. All in all I was out the door for just under what the other place was going to do not including welding, the emission thing back together. Sorry as you can see I'm not a mechanic and don't know the name of what they did offhand, but it was something that was minor, but making a lot of noise And they took care of it on the spot. Come to find out they also do bodywork and the price quoted was phenomenal. I can't wait to go back and get my car looking like new now that it sounds like new again! I can't say enough about this place, all the positive reviews are beyond accurate. I've already recommended them in our local Moms group as well as to a personal friend of mine. It's rare to find companies that truly care about their customers and remain consistent with that and I think this is one of those rare finds - a blessing to Rancho and anyone willing to travel here! read more

So far, so good, I had an issue with my 2012 Chevy Sonic, it turns out it was a major vacuum leak that was making my car shake and rattle. Took it in on Monday (12/12/2022) at 8:00 am. The crew there was able to diagnose and solve the issue by 11:00, and I was home with my car by 1:10 the SAME DAY. I went in very comfortably as a woman who knew nothing about cars and did not feel like I was given the runaround. They replaced the gasket and told me to drive it around for a few days, and if an issue returned, they would repair it some more. I'll update after a week, but so far so happy. The pricing was very reasonable too! They've got a new customer to their list for auto repairs. UPDATE: Car runs AMAZING! No check engine lights came on after two weeks, and it runs like it did when I first bought it. 10/10. read more

I cannot say enough good things about this place. They really saved me one day when my car broke down on the way to Palm Springs. Top notch guys here! I had my car towed to them and it really helps that they're attached to a gas station. I left my car there and planned to return a few days later on a Sunday to pick it up. Because of the gas station relationship, I could get my keys from the station even if the auto shop was closed. This flexibility really made my weekend vacation less stressful. Also - they had a guy give us a ride to Hertz down the street. And after Hertz told us they had no cars, the guy was waiting outside for us still! He gave us another ride to Enterprise. What nice people at this auto shop! They gave me a call the next day as they told me they would. We figured out my car situation and they took care of my car for me until I returned with no issues. I am leaving a review, even though I never had a car serviced here because I had called to ask for a mechanic to check out a used car I was considering buying. A1 was not able to provide the service because their mechanics can only work in the shop, but the person who answered the phone was super helpful and offered me some really good advice on how to test drive the vehicle so that I can tell if the engine has been compromised, he did all of this for free. A huge Thank You to the gentleman that took my phone call this morning! I'm embarrassed I didn't get his name but I think he saved me $800 two different ways. We're selling a truck that doesn't run and we think it's the fuel pump. A-1 gave me a price to replace but then asked why I thought it was the fuel pump. I told him the truck was in an accident and that's what the tow truck driver said. He told me when Fords are in accidents the fuel pump auto shuts off and there's a reset button. He saved me $800 from having to replace the pump and now I can sell it as a running vehicle for more $. What a lifesaver. We found ourselves a new, HONEST, mechanic. read more

There are mechanics, then there's A-1 Auto Care. There's a reason they have been in business since 1994. You can't run an auto repair shop for more than 27 years without providing exceptional service. When I say exceptional service I'm talking across the board. Not only exceptional customer service but like their name says A-1 auto care service too! I have been coming here for the last 6 years and these guys continue to impress me each time. They are always quick to diagnose a problem then recommend the best way to go about it. Always fair and extremely honest. From a simple oil change or smog check to a complicated engine replacement and everything in between A-1 is my auto care specialist for life. On my most recent experience I had an issue with one of my vehicles, I took it to the dealer because it was still under warranty... what a mistake and headache that was. The dealer fixed the original problem(serpentine belt and tensioner pully) but created a new problem giving me back my car with a knocking sound coming from the motor. My car never made that sound before going to the dealer. Dealer said that noise is not covered under my warranty and wanted over $6,000 to fix the problem they created. Saying they had to pull the motor and replace my cams.... HUH??? What a joke. Had vehicle towed over to A-1. Jim and J.R. are masters at their craft. It took some time to track down the problem. It was a wiring issue. Let me tell you, wiring issues are not fun and very stressful. As it turns out the dealer had to remove an oil sending unit harness to access the tensioner pully they replaced. Well the idiots at the dealership rewired the harness backwards when they put everything back together, and that was after having my car for 3 weeks. Once I had it towed to A-1, Jim had me covered, in 3 days after tracking down every single wire from my ECU he found the problem and fixed it at 20% of what the dealer tried to scam me out of. If you're looking for an honest, trustworthy, reasonably and fair priced mechanic... do yourself a favor. Trust A-1. A-1 is my trusted mechanic for life, in fact I enjoy referring them to all of my clients when someone asks if I know a shop. George, Jim, and J.R. you guys rock! Thanks as always. read more
