We went to other stores and just couldn't get everything to pull together for the right "look". We saw the designers working with other customers and thought "we can do this, we don't need help". But, after several weeks without a cohesive plan, we booked an appointment with BJ Smith. That changed everything! We brought in our cabinet doors, our floor tile, paint samples and tile samples we picked up along or journey and laid it out for her. It was a mess... She looked over everything and said "ok, we can do this. It's going to be beautiful!" She told us why certain pieces weren't working together, told us to repaint and helped us find the right color. She taught us what we needed to look for when we went shopping for countertops and even let us being a sample back so she could give her final thumbs up. She helped us match everything with the perfect tile and brought the whole look together. We couldn't be happier or more impressed. BJ is the hidden gem in this store! Chewy, Annabelle and Chris at the Mansfield Tx store were amazing, very helpful and tried to do what was within their job descriptions to help but, F&D policies, process and procedure are not consumer friendly, not consistent with what is stated, promoted on their website consistentl. To make a king story short, they found the "discontinued" flooring in three (3) different states, $450.00 for the flooring, and shipped BECAUSE THEY DON'T SHIP... charged $450 per store for over $1,200.00 for Shipping. Highway robbery and raping their customer. I ONLY did so to save time. However, I still need flooring for four (4) other rooms and F&D manager would rather loose money, approximately $2,000 or more in sales, than expense the freight. Hell, they didn't bother to send the product back to main warehouse to ship to a store. Want that money... bottom line, they lost money. The store manager wasnof no help, so he can keep working hard and if I were you, be careful and spend your money wisely... else where.

From the very first conversation, they started pointing fingers. I was informed I had no warranty because I did not install the floor. Then they started pointing the finger at anyone and everyone, blaming the contractor, blaming our HVAC system, and telling me all the reasons that this probably wasn't their fault. I don't care whose fault it is, I just need to understand what is wrong with my floor and get it fixed. After weeks of chasing them on the phone, Zaid reluctantly came to the house. He tested for water infiltration (there is none) and said that he would talk to the "operations manager" to see what they thought we should do. That was on April 9-haven't heard anything since. Writing this review to see if maybe they will respond now because they're not responsive any other way. For anyone considering this company, be aware that post-installation support appears to be nonexistent. There was a way they could have handled this that would have had me here giving a five star review--they chose the other path. There's plenty of companies that will stand by their work. This is not one of them.

Bathroom remodeling affected us two ways. First, the excitement of finally after twenty-two years…read moregetting a new master bathroom. Second, comes the dreaded search for a master contractor. We asked friends, looked over ads and turned towards Yelp. It was decided that we would settle for no less than a five star rating wanting to avoid the pitfalls so often heard about shady contractors. The ALC Remodel team arrived (Gabriel and Luan) dressed nicely in company shirts and a nice honest proposal of which we finally accepted. Prior to start, Gabriel de Franca, gave us a list of supplies that we could purchase (at the local box store) using my military discount. It saved us allot on our big items like our bidet, sinks and shower head units. Day one began, as each day, with the crew covering our bedroom furniture and rug with plastic. The destruction phase is the worst, but ALC did all they could to limit the dust including a plastic door that effectively sealed off the work area. We watched carefully as the ALC folks (Joseph and Jonas) came each day, always on our requested time and finished after a full day's work in time for us to have a nice dinner and evening. Payments were divided into four segments, each paid at completion of a phase. We paid nothing up front. ALC's work was completed within the agreed time line below original estimate. The final product is stunning! STUNNING! What makes the look so special is the workmanship. Maybe the right word is artist for each tile, every marble panel, even the final touches to paint and presentation was just perfect. Final thoughts; we were so impressed by ALC Remodel. More than just a team, the company is family and the work absolutely shows through. If we could give Six Stars we would gladly give them ALL SIX!

Delays happen, but leaving a customer without any update, alternative appointment, or path forward while damage continues is not acceptable.
