    Uncle Franks Pizza

I have an hour commute home but this place has been my lil touch of NY Pizza. They not only sell pizza but other Italian dishes along with a full bar. The services are wonderful and fun to be around which make the service amazing. It's also nice and laid back so you can come in solo, a date or even your family. Whichever you choose this is still for me a slice away from home.

I was craving pizza but don't live nearby so I relied on Yelp to help. I prefer thin crust and this place delivered. Not just thin but crispy to perfection. I tried a plain slice to review a regular flavor. It was just OK but great crunchy crust. I love white pizza which is just mozzarella and ricotta cheese. Their white pizza has tomato slices and spinach which makes it look like a Margherita pizza named after an Italian Queen. That being said, this slice was delicious! Just the right amount of garlic, too.

Delicious pizza at this locally owned spot in East Bay Drive. Super service by Martha. Thank you! Pizza the right blend of cheese and sauce, cooked perdectly... Crunchy on the bottom, moist on top. Fun to watch the dude literally hand toss the crust into the air. As good a pizza as you'll find in Florida. Not quite up to NJ standards... But totally passable.

The service was great. At times, a little too great with the interruptions. The food was not great. The square pizza was all bread with very little toppings. They took it back and off our bill which was very much appreciated. We also ordered a round pizza which was much better. The garlic rounds were almost tasteless and burned on the bottom. The Greek and chopped tomato salads were fine. It was our first time there and we were disappointed. We would go back to play trivia and meet friends but not sure what I would order.

Since we have already visited Bros Pizzeria located in Clearwater, FL! , we decided to try the new location! Bros Pizzeria located in Largo, FL since it has an open bar! Of course, we also loved it! The waitresses are super friendly! On point with orders! The drinks were awesome! As a proud New Yorker we LOVE our pizzas! It's located in open shopping area. You cannot miss it! You have enough parking space. Its establishment is very welcoming and reminds you of the warm pizzerias down in New York! Depending on your mood you can go solo, friends, couple or family! It's has a GREAT ambiance! We recommend this Bros Pizzeria location as well!!

Well here we are again after another cathartic visit with my Dear Mother. Visiting here has become our reward to self for having to put up with her nonsense. Anyway, Ms Jennifer was on duty and the regular solicitous service continued per usual. Moving thru the appetizers we decided upon fried zucchini this trip. It was definitely hand made and freshly prepared; not off the old Sysco truck! Lightly breaded half discs and chunks of aforementioned gourd were nice and hot. A rather odd but still yummy accompaniment was/is Cajun ranch dressing. I'd be happy with marinara too, especially since they dump grated Romano on top of the dish. So what next? Why Uncle Frank as usual. Again, this bugger is the closest I've found to a good NYC pie since I've been on these sun soaked shores. We easily woulda been okay with a 12" pie, but I love reheated pizza as a quick lunch or even a good bachelor breakfast. Beats the crap out of soft boiled eggs and toasted Wonder Bread any day! Wee!!!!

Ask the Community - Bro's Pizzeria & Bar

Is this the same as the Bros pizza in downtown Clearwater?

This is the 2nd location from the original that is still in Clearwater yes! However, our new location in Largo has a full liquor bar but same great food :)

A…read moregroup of six of us stopped in on Friday night and were amazed at how different the place felt. Same decor, same tables but, it definitely had a positive upbeat atmosphere, it hasn't had in several years. We met the current owner who stopped by each table checking in and making sure patrons were satisfied. Our server was sharp, he knew the menu well, he knew what the ingredients were and he knew how things were prepared. We were a bit concerned when he took our orders because he didn't write anything down but, everything came out perfectly. He checked on us several times and made sure we had everything we needed. Our food was absolutely, spot on delicious.Sandwiches were large and filling and expertly prepared as though some little grandma was preparing them. The dinners were large and well seasoned, needing a box for leftovers. The pizza was the star of the show, thin, crispy crust with toppings edge to edge and flavor that was as robust as anything in Chicago. The sausage had that scrumptious fennel taste that distinguishes it from any other place in the country that, and the fact it's cut into squares. Having lived in Chicago over 20 years, it was an awesome experience when requesting the gahlick and the 'regano and it came out in shakers. That really seals the deal!! The only thing missing from this place compared to those in Chicago was the addition of ordering homemade creamy garlic salad dressing on the salad. All in all, this place is top notch, give it a try and tell Joe, Jack sent ya!!

I do have my go to's, but I am always looking for a new fave to add to my list. I even follow a FB group for Chicago pizza in Florida. Unfortunately, this is not it. Yes the thin crust is it and the square pieces yes, but the crust is a no bc there's no flavor. There's no sauce. Which even with adding sauce on the side it didn't do much for it. It's just a crunchy piece of dough with a lack of sauce and cheese and Hawaiian. So I will stick with my nearby fave which still crosses off the boxes and is made to perfection - Paul's Chicago Pizza in Clearwater for thin crust. I do see there are locations for Little Italian in Naperville IL, which I always frequented, but this for sure is not it right here. For some maybe, but not in my family. Still this is a nice location inside. Spacious, full of light, comfortable, and friendly service. Check them out and see what you think.

Not your typical NY-style pizza whatsoever, they offer "Ohio-style" pizza which is thin crust, bar-cut in squares, similar to nearby Charlie and Millie's. The sauce is definitely different and zesty, and all of their pizzas have plentiful cheese and toppings. I have never received anything less than excellent food from here. Their Hurricane Ron pizza is a masterpiece, sort of a supreme+ with added ham, bacon, green/black olives, and banana peppers. Only 4 stars for now because one time I called in a pickup order, arrived and they never made my pizza! OK, we all make mistakes, but I was not even told "We are really sorry" or was offered a drink or anything while I waited another 15 minutes inside for my pizza. Just "Here ya go! Bye..." Really? I used to get pizza here once a week. After that snub, I come less often. After months of buying here, I felt my business was not appreciated. The menu claims the food is "made from scratch," but that was very hard to believe. The pizza sauce tasted like it came straight from a can, with absolutely no visible seasoning or flavor. It was bland and tasted processed. The chicken alfredo fettuccine also tasted artificial, nothing like a fresh or homemade alfredo sauce. It lacked the rich, creamy flavor you would expect from a scratch-made dish. What made the situation worse was the customer service. When I politely brought the issue to their attention and explained that the food did not taste fresh, they refused to take the food back or make it right. There was no attempt to resolve the issue or show any concern for the customer's experience. Unfortunately, between the poor food quality and lack of customer service, I would not recommend this restaurant. There are far too many places that value quality and their customers to spend money here.

No big deal for a bigger pie, actually. One thing I neglected to mention about the toppings on this thing...they are fresh! No canned mushrooms or soggy pepper chunks on this bad boy. Again, the veggies are plentiful and there's enough protein (sausage, pepperoni and mutz) to keep the flavor going. I know Westshore just up the street uses canned veggies on their pies...yet another valid reason to stay away from there. Now here's an interesting side note...I made the call to place the order. For a split second I thought I dialed the wrong number. A lady with a thick Asian accent answered and I had to slow down a bit to make sure I understood her and conveyed my own information properly. When I get there to pick up, indeed an Asian lady (Vietnamese, actually) was behind the counter running the place. I usually get the owner himself, but he wasn't anyplace in the small store. This time, meanwhile, their newest menu was plastered onto the pizza box. One of the oddities I noticed in the appetizer section of their menu is "Vietnamese Egg Rolls." I'd seen it previously but thought nothing of it. So putting two and two together I figured out that Mrs. Owner was in charge today! Now the egg roll app makes a lil more sense! So the big thing out of all this is what I'd said previously...I am glad to support these local "little guy" operations. I'm particularly proud to do so when I see a hard working couple running an operation like this rather than filling some third party's pocket. She was a very nice, polite lady, much as her husband is a well mannered man. Both are friendly and solicitous, and they know how to make a mean pie.
