Every time I went by or called to see if I could come in I'd have to schedule for days out. I never ended up using a single coupon and lost $60. I lived here for 2 years, got coupon in Jan of 2024 and called maybe 4 times, every 3/4 months as I would just have to get an oil change elsewhere. Disappointing! I have never written a negative review on Yelp before but felt compelled to do so here due the lack of integrity shown by these people and because I took my car here because of these reviews. I brought the car in and they had it a couple days and told me it needed several parts that would cost about $1700 for parts and labor. I explained to them that the car is 12 years old with almost 200,000 miles so I would prefer to get a re-manufactured part rather than a new part which would be cheaper. They said I could get the parts and they would put them in for $500-$600. So I ordered all the parts they said I needed and in the meantime went and got the car and paid the $85 they charge for looking at it. When the parts arrived, I called them back to get them replaced. After some "re-figuring" John said the cost would now be over $800 (less the $85 I already paid) to have them replaced. So I took the car somewhere else and had them replaced for $450. And there were a couple parts John said were needed that were not needed. I got the parts and labor done for about $705 which is around $100 less than these guys wanted just for labor. I recommend you "steer clear" of David and John unless you want to get gauged and pay to replace parts you don't need. read more

David is one of the nicest people I've ever met in the auto mechanic industry. He and his crew are professional, honest and incredibly helpful! He doesn't run his shop like other auto shops that charge you for everything under the sun. He fixes only what needs to be fixed and doesn't try to up-sell or give anyone a run for their money. I can't say that I'm very happy with this place. I took my truck here to have an estimate on a remanufactured engine and to have a leaking differential repaired. I told them exactly what was wrong with the engine, and one of the guys (David I think) heard the knocking from the bad crank bearings himself. It took them an entire day to get back to me and tell me they found absolutely nothing wrong with the vehicle. ...What? I asked them what their testing methodology was, it entailed driving maybe a few hundred yards and idling the engine for an hour. Of course you won't hear the knocking if you do this because you actually have to get all of the oil hot (ie. drive it on the freeway) for the viscosity to break down to operating levels for the play in the bearings to start knocking. But I know that they didn't even bother looking at the engine or they would have told me that the oil pan gasket was leaking. I knew about this beforehand, but I wanted to see if they could catch it in their "diagnostics" which they failed to do. So *I* had to go drive my truck around and warm it up for them, bring it back and find someone to show the knocking noise. At this point it was knocking pretty badly and the old grouch of a mechanic there was like "I've been a mechanic for 40 years, nothing is wrong here." Are you kidding me? So not only do these guys not know how to do simple diagnostics properly, their hearing is shot. The knocking sound isn't some quiet hum, it's like striking a hammer on an anvil multiple times a second, it's VERY loud. And they're treating me like I don't know anything about cars. I've taken half the engine apart to replace numerous parts (timing gears, chain, chain housing, water pump, smog pump, power steering pump, yards of vacuum lines, radiator, A/C, you name it. I'm pretty sure I know what's going on. And they still hadn't gotten to the differential yet. The differential was another story. They gave me multiple completion times, which they blew through completely. It ended up taking them two days to get the differential squared away. The only reason I didn't blow up on these guys is because of the price, which was around $130. If you can stand sub-par diagnostics, being treated like a laymen and never getting a correct time estimate on your repair, go with these guys. If you want actual service with proper estimates and people who won't run off mid sentence, go elsewhere. read more

I went to brakes-n-more based off of the reviews I read on here! & they were spot on! the only thing that i will say was that the actual price for brakes and rotor change for my front tires was almost $165 more than I was originally quoted over the phone, but it was still considerably cheaper than any other place. it was a very fast job & John and his team were very polite and honest with what i need to have done. they did not try to throw in anything extra like most places do and tell you that you need every single thing done on your car. John even took the time to show me what my current brakes looked like compared to what they are supposed to (the new ones)! Everyone made me feel very comfortable being there even though I was a female that was alone, they did not try to trick me with prices/parts or anything! in the last week-Edit I had taken my daughters car to them several times with good results. This last time though was a very bad experience. Told me her car had overheated and had blown head gaskets. Told me the heads need to be machined and gaskets replaced. Approved the work and prepaid $980.00. Two weeks later told me the car was back together but would only run 20 miles an hour and needed a new exhaust manifold at another $900.00. Told them the car wasn't worth spending that much money so just put it back together and I would pick it up. Then told me the car needed a complete new engine at $1500.00 for used engine. Reaffirmed again that the car was driveable and told them I would pick the car up and drive it on a car hauler to take back to Houston. Arrived an found not only was the car not running but many parts were missing. Had them push the car onto the car hauler and specifically asked where the missing parts were. Was told by John that all the parts are in the trunk of the car. Got back to Houston and found that not one missing parts was in the trunk. After a couple calls and left messages they insist the mechanic says he put the parts in the trunk. They have been very apologetic for their miss truths but bottom line, I got screwed on this deal. When you have a daughter in college so far away from home, you have to have faith that you find the right garage that you can trust. Oh well looks like the BBB is next on my list. read more

BEWARE!!!!. This place is very unprofessional. I am a college student that has a budget and some one had referred me to this repair shop. BIG MISTAKE. I had arrived at the so called company and I had noticed some men drinking. 1 of the 2 men approached me and asked how can I help you. I proceeded to explain my issues with the car and the checked it out and gave me an estimate. I decided to have them do the repairs. After 2 days I noticed my vehicle having the same issues. I took to another automotive shop and after it was inspected I was told that the repairs that should have been done were not. I had same parts, the parts that BREAKS AND MORE had charged me for. I then returned to B and M with a friend to get a refund. yet again as we drive up it seems like they are having a party at 8 am in the morning. My friend and I were approached by 3 men. Very uncomfortable situation. One gentleman by the name of John smelled like alcohol. after a few days I did receive my full refund. LADIES stay away. read more
