I CALLED THEM AFTER GETTING A $9000 QUOTE FROM A DEALERSHIP. THEY SAID OH YEAH, WE CAN REPLACE THE WHOLE THING FOR $38-$4000. So, I had my car towed there. The manager Mike calls back and says well it looks like it's gonna be $4500, because it needs a few partsAM . I replied, that is not what you told me. his reply was well sometimes there are a few extra parts that aren't included in the main quote. The next day, he calls back and says we got into your transmission and the price is going to be $6058. I again argued and said that is not what I was told. I said I will just come get my car and take it somewhere else. He then said OK, the labor we have in it now is already $2600 and you'll have to pay that first. I again and he said he would call his manager. then called back and said we can discount at $600 by using parts. We have on hand here at the shop. So $5400 later I finally got my car back. The car runs rough. There is a vibration in the idle. After talking to two other mechanics and looking online, I find that it is probably the motor mounts. Did aamco tell me I needed motor mounts? I took the in today for the 10 day check, and they indeed come back and say you need new motor mounts. That'll be another $500 plus $140 in parts. Avoid them like the plague because they are dishonest, and what's your quoted won't be anything near what you'll have to pay to get your car back. And your car won't be fixed when you do get it back. I don't know how they stay in business.

They had my car for 2 days and did all they could do to fix the CEL. However, BMW was not supportive in supplementing information on how to fix their specialty issue. I called/ they called me 7 times over 2 days with updates and I spoke to Tammy, and a couple of guys and they were all so helpful. They really wanted to help and eager to but sadly it did not work out. I picked up my car and they comped the diagnostic fee for the trouble. They were super nice and helpful. As far as my situation- Carmax is sending my car to a BMW dealership next at their expense.

I have been taking my cars and referring my friends to this shop for years now. I personally have never had any issues with any work I've had done on my vehicles or my family vehicles.

I got the car back and noticed the front end felt weighted down and breaks where not as responsive, readjusted tire pressure, gave it a day but couldn't get over how the ride just went to hell in a handbag and felt like someone slapped on two 10 ton bricks on the front. Called Car experts, explained the situation and asked if they may have put on the wrong brake components and if they have had any similar instances to which they did not seem the least bit concerned stating "your car only has one option (for brakes)"....we don't do calipers. I took it for a road trip and the ride is god-awful and this affects the whole driving experience ....not how it was when I brought it in and not how it felt from the factory. I thought you get what you pay for but with Car Experts you pay more for less. Wish I would have just gone to a dealership, could have saved money and probably got better parts and service. Now I have to figure out what they messed up, thoroughly dissatisfied.

We used Patriot Garage recently because my daughter's brakes were making a noise. I saw the…read morenegative reviews on Yelp and was a bit concerned but I saw all the glowing reviews on Google and Facebook. I called Patriot Garage with lower expectations. I spoke with Tim and he was very helpful. I explained the issue and he was extremely patient. He made an appointment for me to come in on Monday but said if I wanted to bring it in sooner, he could try to get the car looked at (this was on a Friday morning). I said I would drop it off but needed to figure out how to get back home. He offered me a ride, which was extremely helpful. Tim called me a few hours later and told me the brakes did have an issue. He also said they perform a 20 point inspection so he provided me with options for additional work. I wasn't surprised by this and approved only the work on the back brakes. He was kind and didn't hold it against me that I didn't want to do any other work. He just said that when we're ready, we could come back to work on the other stuff. At the end of the day he called me and told me the brakes were done. He said they noticed a bubble in a rear tire and advised that I take it to a tire shop. He had zero incentive to do this. I felt like he did this out of genuine concern for our safety, which I appreciated. The process to check out and pick up the vehicle was the most convenient process. I paid online and then they left my car key in a lock box. I could pick up the vehicle at my convenience. Overall, my experience was really great and I'm happy to recommend Patriot Garage in the future as well as use them for any future service that we may need. Also, the price was around what we expected. The best part is they offered a military discount so that helped as well. Thank you, Tim, for being so helpful, friendly and patient.

They were able to get me in the next day. After looking the car over, they found that the struts were bad (making an alignment worthless) and that the rear brakes were also below specs. I had them replace the struts, brakes and two tires (the other two were new) and couldn't have been more pleased. My daughter was blown away by how differently the car drives and I'm thankful that she's safer now! The price was exceptionally reasonable and I am glad we have somewhere that we can trust to treat us right and do the job right the first time.

When we got back, my fiancé was scared to death to drive his car. We took it to Ranchwood and they took such great care. The mechanic drove it for awhile around town to get an idea of what was going on, and drove it around for a long while after repairs to make sure we wouldn't have the same problems, and they were so fast (we're talking a day and a half max). Our trust in the car is growing again and it's so nice to have 2 vehicles again. Will definitely go back for future repairs.

Now, being men, we had to keep it together to calm the women and children and act like everything was alright ("no, I'm sure it's fine, it's probably a standard light that comes on at exactly 174,396 miles, the dealerships do it on purpose"). Mortally afraid and running on pure adrenaline, I did the unthinkable. I simply opened my yelp app and found A1 repair by filtering hours open and proximity to our location. Even now as I recall the event, I am shocked at how rational I was behaving under such extenuating circumstances. But I digress. The time was was 7:55 pm on a Friday night. We were 13 minutes away. Yelp indicated A1 closed at 8 PM. We weren't gonna make it. We were going to be stranded on a desert highway with nothing but sasquatch and axe murdered to keep us company at night. While us men were busy occupying ourselves with how we were going to fight off mythical creatures at night, suddenly, our female in the car did the impossible: she called Jasen, the friendly service technician, to see if he wouldn't mind staying open for another ten minutes, due to our obviously dire needs. Generously and professionally, he agreed and promptly help us to diagnose our check engine light, which turned out to be only a minor thing and nothing that couldn't wait til the next service appointment at the dealership.
