I wanted to share this experience with you guys, ive been using A&B for a quite while and yesterday I had to get my car towed to Whittier and driver Z helped me out, he was young and funny and very respectful. He did a good and quick job in getting to where I was and load the car up on the bed. Summer is hot, specially for jobs like these. The truck Z had no A/C in it and I felt bad for the kid because he was pouring sweat before he got in the truck , then I could tell how not comfortable he was with the heat and the fact that I was there, his job was to keep me satisfied but I still felt bad because I think this isnt the right way to do it. We were on the way to drop my car to the mechanic and suddenly we are getting pulled over by a highway officer because one of the break lights were out. Thumbs up to this kid with a big heart, I know his day didn't go well but he made my day better because he would just smile and handle his thing in any circumstance. The officer was cool enough to warn Z to have that break light fixed. It's upsetting. read more

Well I see others have now experienced what I did. AAA called them they illegally impounded my car , when in fact the CHP told them to store it. I actually had to call the police to get my car back. They stole it and were holding it for ransom (their fee) they messed with the wrong blond that day. The CHP called them and told them to release my car. They were a nightmare. My car died no power on 405, my purse was locked in the trunk with my AAA card , I had to go with my child in an ambulance . I was driving her to UCLA AT The Time to be addmitted. My car broke down on the 11b offramp of the 405, called Triple-A to fix and they sent this company. The guy was immediately impatient, I didn't have my triple A card so he hassled me about that but then when I had picture ID he was like "why didn't you say so?" Really? Like I'm supposed to know how to do your job? Why didn't you just ask for id? And all you needed was picture ID and you really thought I didn't have my license? Anyway, apparently I blew out my tire as well, so now this guy is convinced that's the only thing wrong and he keeps going "C'mon, man..." If it were just a popped tire I could fix that myself but the guy wastes my triple-A by fixing it. The whole time he was belittling and condescending, incredibly impatient. so sorry you have to do YOUR job. I know, it's such a hassle having to do what you get paid to do. And at the end he refused to wait longer than a few seconds, well apparently there was something wrong with my car and it wasn't just a blown out tire, that happened after I pulled off the road. So great job you creeps. You acted like I wasted your time and was an idiot when in reality you wasted mine and wasted my triple-A services and you were the idiots who didn't know what you were doing. read more

I have been very disappointed in dealing with A & B Towing. On May 16th, while on a AAA call, the tow truck backed in to my car. There were two witnesses that saw the tow truck actually move my car. I called the police department to file a report, and since the tow truck driver had driven away. The police arrived and had called the tow truck driver to return to the scene. The police officer and the tow truck driver both agreed to what had occurred. I was assured the company would pay to have my car fixed. The company is now refusing to cooperate. read more

Single mom here. My college student age son sold a car to new owner who did not get it put in his name w/ dmv. New owner abandons the car then I get a app for lien sale letter from this tow place that lists "daily storage charges" I freak because I don't know what this means, other than me owing $$$! I call A & B and get a girl telling me, "not to worry about it" as her only response. I then get a duplicate app + new letter 2 days later, saying I now owe $863...! I call a second time and get "Mike, the tow manager." He says the car is gone, "Sean" picked it up. This is not the new owners name. The new owner's name is listed as the 'interested party" on the app. Mike then tells me he "does not have" to send me a letter stating the car is gone/released when I ask for something just saying the car is released as I am worried about it. Mike then puts me on speaker phone w/o telling me and states someone else is in the room listening. I tell him that is against the law and he proceeds to yell at me then hangs up after saying they are closed on Saturdays. Very unprofessional, rude and unwilling to be helpful. Apparently, a ghost was mailing legal mystery letters to me. I suggest hiring a professional person to answer your phones who can handle answering simple questions/requests about letters from your office. You may want to also google using speaker phone without notifying the person on the other end of the phone. Guess I'm supposed to just not, "worry about it." By far the most unprofessional towing company ever . This company is contracted with AAA & I thought they might just give quality service . Boy was I wrong . First off the tow truck guy named Jose was at the wrong destination and could not take directions properly . Not to mention he was late . Which caused the mechanic to close and now I have to take my car home and retow it again when it reopens . Then I ask how much it would be to tow my car . ( keep in mind I already navigated and Knew exactly how many miles it was to my destination ) . First he gave me a reasonable quote for $40 (10$/mile) . Then he had to suddenly verify my destination . On the map showed three routes to get to my destination . Of course he chose the longest one . AAA Only covers mileage up to 7 miles . Anything over is additional . Which I'm ok with . However , Jose insisted on taking this specific route . I told Jose I was the one who chooses the route . He said ok he's gonna call AAA and then he left . . Leaving us stradwd without even telling us he's was leaving. Now let's talk about Karen who answers the phone . I called Karen to notify herof the situation and not once did she apologize on behalf of the company . She told me that he said I denied paying the additional charges . However I declined the route he chose ...... I then asked her what we can do to fix this . All she said was she would note this incident and call AAA . She never offered another tow or showed any sympathy. read more

my battery was dead so i called aaa to come and give me a jump. I had left town for 2 weeks so my battery died while i was gone. Kenny showed up and charged it for 30 seconds and then tried to start my car.. i insisted that it needed more time to gain more juice, but he kept trying to start my car... the car eventually started, but died... he kept trying 10 time... it started again and he kept his foot on the gas peddle for 30 second and FLOODED MY ENGINE. A & B towing was very professional and customer service savvy. I was stuck at work when my car wouldn't turn on. Called A & B and soon came Raul to my job, he tested the battery and saw that it was drained but he also tested my alternator just to make sure that was not the problem. In the end it really was my battery. In little to no time Raul replaced my battery and he was very nice too because it was a very hot day and I was burning up. Raul suggested that I wait in my car and turn on the AC while he changed my battery and he even gave me a water bottle to stay refreshed. I've been a AAA member for 30 yrs & wish I had a dollar for every time I've raved about AAA service. I have AAA car & home insurance. 6 yrs ago I had AAA replace my battery with a AAA battery for the 1st time & raved about that service. All that changed a few days ago. I will make a formal complaint to AAA. A&B Towing driver started my dead battery & tried to replace my 124R with a 24F battery. WRONG!!
