They sent over Edwin first- he was super friendly and nice, and when he realized he needed a flat bed, called for Adam (who's super awesome, and we chatted about our lives as we were on the way to the dealer!). Owning your own business sucks sometimes. Customers complaining, employees always wanting more and just the day to day operations. But there are days when we are reminded that human kindness still exist. Today, as one of the owners was working, his truck engine blew and caught on fire, leaving him stranded on the 55 FWY during rush hour and our wonderful California traffic. Thank goodness for AAA and the companies that work in partnership with them. A and B Towing in Costa Mesa was the company that was sent out. Sam the driver was just awesome! Pick the owner up and towed him back to our office in Huntington Beach. With no engine the truck had to be off loaded and pushed into the warehouse. Sam just didn't drop off and leave, he stayed and helped push the car back and forth until it fit back into the warehouse. Not an easy task when the truck had power steering. I rented a car at Orange County Airport and the rental agency was ok with the car being low on oil I guess. I got this warning "Oil Pressure Low...Stop Car". AAA sent this tow company out a couple weeks ago. The driver offered to tow my van to his yard for 24 hrs of free storage. I politely declined. On the short ride home the driver seemed fine, engaging in a bit of chit chat about the situation I was in and he stated some possible cons to towing it to my home and again offered to take it to his yard. I mentioned that my father owns a used car dealership so it could be stored there if it got to that point. I explained to him where I needed him to place the car on my driveway, parked diagonally and not blocking the garage door. I told him that my father was laying cardboard on the pavement to catch leaking fluids. I wanted it to be very clear as to where he needed to place the car. When we arrived and he reversed, I thought he was going to pull forward and left to then back the car into it's designated space. But instead he indicated that I could step out. I thought he made a mistake and I told him where I needed it parked. Then his tone changed. He said he couldn't park it there and offered no reason of why he couldn't. My dad came to the passenger side window and asked him to please change the car's position. The driver again refused and said " You know what, I'm just gonna drop it right here, got off the car and started to disconnect the car, meanwhile my dad got more stern and asked WHY he couldn't change the car's position. The driver ignored him and made racist comments like " I don't speak Spanish. I don't understand you. I don't speak Spanish". My father spoke English to him the whole time. He has a Latin accent when speaking he is certainly understandable. He has worked in English speaking contexts for over 40 yrs! Of course my dad was already upset and those insults didn't help the situation. But he was able to change his tone and asked him to at least tow my van far back enough to clear the sidewalk. The driver ignored him. I asked him to please push the car back because I'd get fined by the city for blocking the sidewalk. He said I'll push it back...he pushed it a bit but still left it partially blocking the sidewalk. I had to call AAA for another tow which they considered a 2nd service call. Hadley's Towing came out and Zeke did a terrific job, courteous, respectful and dropped the car exactly where I needed. He even had a much bigger tow truck, a flat bed, so it was actually more challenging to maneuver than the previous guy's truck. The difference was NIGHT and DAY. read more

My 72 Mercedes started breaking down in Costa Mesa and I had to get it to my mechanic before he closed his shop at 5. I called A&B Towing and they were able to send one of their drivers, Alex, over to me in 15 minutes. Alex was awesome, hooked my car up within another 15 minutes, got me to my mechanic and unloaded it in another 15. Quickest tow I've ever gotten and such an easy experience. My rear passenger tire was completely flat and after a run-in with a previous tow truck service, I was lucky to have LEE as my tow truck driver. He was amazing. I had been without my truck and no way to replace my tire for a few days. Lee arrived and jumped on my problem, Not only was he incredibly respectful and nice and very calm, but he seemed genuinely concerned about my problem. After filling my tire, there was still a leak so he also followed me over to an auto parts store to get tire fix to fill the leak and ensure that I made it back safely, until a permanant fix can be done. My car, while driving southbound 405, went berserk. Thankfully, I was able to pull off to meridian off the 73 ramp. With all the construction going on, it was a scary place to be as there was no signage. I was unable to start my car, attempting to pull forward. I could not roll down my windows. My hazard lights would not turn on. I was scared someone was going to rear end me at 80mph. Thankfully, Ahmad showed up in 10min. He could see I was distressed and let me wait in his truck, offered me water, while he prepared to tow my car. He was so very nice to drive me, as a passenger, to repair shop. Unfortunately, it was closed due to 4th July weekend and I started crying. I was on my way to work and it was just stressful, amongst other things. Ahmad was so compassionate, so understanding it made me cry even more he was so nice. I started to feel silly that I was even crying in the first place. He also waited until my LYFT driver came before he left. He thinks the issue has something to do with my alternator and comforted me of any further stress. Awesome customer service! read more

I got my car stuck on a big Rock with my right front tire in the air. I called AAA and told them I needed a Wheel Lift tow truck and they called A and B Towing but unfortunately they sent a flatbed tow truck that couldn't help. Called back AAA and emphasized I needed a Wheel Lift Tow truck and A and B dispatched another flatbed but when he called I explained my situation and he got Adam to come with a Wheel Lift Tow truck. Together we decided to use my Chevy Bolt EV towing eye bolt and have Adam lift the front with the tow truck in the left front. As the car came off the rock it pivoted to the left onto the asphalt! So Someone just hit my car and the police sent A & B towing for me, they told me it was going to be $10 per mile after they had already hooked my car up so I decided to use my AAA card instead for a cheaper cost. We sat on the phone with AAA for about 25-30 minutes until The tow truck driver got fed up and called his yard where a woman named Tina told him to drop my car and leave me on the side of the road to "call another service". I called up the company to beg them to take my car saying that I am a AAA member but Tina told me that I was screwed and hung up on me. Because of her I missed my window to get a Rent-A-Car and ended up being late to work the next day. Tina is one of the worst employees I've ever dealt with in my life and she manages that towing yard. After dealing with With their rude and unprofessional employees, I would recommend you find another tow service! read more
