I called the Smog Spot, and a friendly gentleman informed me that they would be open until 2 PM that day, so I made my way there from Alhambra. Not the cheapest test but hassle free, no waiting and quick, I say it was money well spent. Not sure what the deal with some complaining no one available when they had made appointment. I showed up over 30 minutes early and the proprietor still gladly tested my car and I was done in less than 10 minutes.

Before I could make a decision, one of my rotors unfortunately snapped while driving, and I immediately called P&W. They ordered the parts the same day and had my car fixed within about 5 hours, replacing all four brake pads and all four rotors for around $1100. This seemed reasonable compared to the BMW dealership quote of $800 for just the rear brake pads alone. Dennis also did a thorough inspection, pointed out a few future issues to keep an eye on, and told me he'd keep everything noted in my file for when I'm ready to tackle those repairs. The team there was super communicative and helpful. I would definitely recommend this place if you need repairs.
