I offered to put the car under a tree, and the tech said nah. He just didn't feel like doing his job in the elements. Don't offer the service if you cannot deliver. If you know the starts out inclement do not wait until afternoon to make the call to say I cant do it, and then when I complain come back with BS like I'm sorry you feel that way. To make matters worse, the representative I spoke with, Kathy (978-313-1039) , was condescending, unhelpful, and made it very clear she did not care whatsoever about the inconvenience their screw-up caused. Not an apology, not an ounce of accountability, just attitude. Safelite wasted my time, gave me no updates, canceled without notice, and then added insult to injury with lousy customer service. I will never use this company again and wouldn't recommend them to anyone unless they enjoy being ignored, inconvenienced, and spoken to like a burden.

The first time I had a broken rear view mirror on my 90's Chevy Cheyene Truck-- Jim found a piece of mirror and fit it, installed it, and threw in a convex circle for an exteremly reasonable rate. The second time I went in, Jim cut a bronze glass mirror to fit as a replacement for a door on my entertainment center. The result: two perfectly matching glass doors, for way less than I expected. I say, call the guy up and go to this place to get a quote. The shop is interesting and a little odd, but what you'll get is great quality craftsmanship and speedy service. After ten minutes on hold I called someone else, and I am very glad I did. The hold time is not the problem though, that's just me being impatient. The problem was when the new guy replaced my glass, he pointed out what a crappy job JNP did a few months earlier. They didn't seal it properly which allowed rust to form on the inside, they scratched my paint, and they used lesser quality glass. He explained to me that their business model is based on cheap labor working quickly and how long the average person owns a car vs how long before the problems in their shoddy repair work becomes apparent.
