Scheduled a windshield replacement 4 days ago. They gave me a 5 hour window between 12-5pm for arrival. I get a call at 1:20 saying that because its raining they cannot do the install. It started raining at 6am. They should either cancel ahead of time or be setup to arrive with a canopy if the job requires a completely dry day. I offered to put the car under a tree, and the tech said nah. He just didn't feel like doing his job in the elements. Don't offer the service if you cannot deliver. If you know the starts out inclement do not wait until afternoon to make the call to say I cant do it, and then when I complain come back with BS like I'm sorry you feel that way. I have never dealt with a company so disorganized and dismissive in my life. Safelite had me waiting literally all day for an appointment, with zero communication. After four hours of waiting, I finally called them, only to find out they had canceled my appointment without telling me. No text, no call, nothing. So now I'm sitting here with a cracked windshield that could've been fixed today, and they tell me I have to come in instead. The lack of professionalism is unbelievable. To make matters worse, the representative I spoke with, Kathy (978-313-1039) , was condescending, unhelpful, and made it very clear she did not care whatsoever about the inconvenience their screw-up caused. Not an apology, not an ounce of accountability, just attitude. Safelite wasted my time, gave me no updates, canceled without notice, and then added insult to injury with lousy customer service. I brought my car in to repair a small chip in the windshield. When I came to collect the car, there was no apparent work done on it - it was parked in the same spot and the chip was not filled at all. When I complained, a technician looked at it, acknowledged there was still a chip and told me that maybe the epoxy has been scraped off accidentally. He took the car back for approximately 5 minutes of work, and in that time cracked the windshield, leaving me with a 12" crack that now requires replacing the whole windshield. Shoddy workmanship at best - there are plenty of places that do auto glass, avoid this one. read more

I scheduled an appointment through my insurance company for a windshield replacement with Safelite Auto Glass Woburn Ma. I was promised a technician would arrive at my house on Tuesday 11/22 between 8am and 12 pm. I spoke to the office a few times throughout the morning to get a better idea of when the technician would arrive. First call was about 8am when they first opened to see where I was on the schedule and to get an approximate time. I was given an estimate of 10:30-11:00 which I knew was just a rough estimate so i didn't really hold them to that. Once that time came and went I called again to make sure they would in fact be there by 12pm like they had originally stated. I told the associate I could not be there beyond that promised time and I'd have to cancel the appointment if it was going to be beyond that time. He assured me that the technician was on his way and he would be there between 11:30-11:45am. When that time came and went as did 12pm I called once more to let them know how upset I was that I was lied to by the previous associate and that they had not shown up at their promised time. When the unsympathetic woman gave me a bs excuse for why the tech had not arrived I told them I thought I'd be better off going with another glass company and the woman unprofessionally and ignorantly stated "ok I can go ahead and cancel that appointment for you!" I never had a problem with Safelite's Billerica location, which unfortunately is now permanently closed, and have had my windshields replaced many times with Safelite. But now because of the awful customer service at the Woburn location I can say without a doubt i will never again use Safelite for anything. Stay away from Safelite they've gotten way too big for their own good. read more

5 hour window, tech showed up 6th hour. He was not the problem. This review is for the Safelite location in Woburn, MA . I scheduled for a repair to a minute chip on my windshield. Tech worked on it and when finished he explained to me that the chip can expand while being repaired but once done the crack would not expand. 2 days later it is now 3" long. My review is for the "customer service" agent I called to explain the situation and see what my choices were going forward. She was aggressive from the start and began to lecture me on their "repairs" and there is absolutely no guarantee the crack will stop, and actually would probably continue to grow until I need a full windshield replacement. When I questioned her why even advertise repair if replacement is inevitable. She continued to tell me they do not guarantee their repairs and I would have to speak to a replacement department to schedule. I told her I didn't think the insurance company should have to pay for a service that was basically useless. She then raised her voice to let me know no one was being charged so why was I complaining. (my insurance company has a currently open claim on this). When she finally finished she said she could do nothing more for me and I would be transferred to replacement department. At that point she disconnected the call. This review is because I couldn't reach anyone at this location after that call. My insurance company deals with this corporation for the majority of their glass claims so my only alternative is to try a different location. Wish me luck! read more

First two times they sent the wrong windshield, this time the technician didn't realize the time window he had to fix my windshield. So, here I sit, having taken off a third day from work (though was hoping it would be a half day if they got it together). They are very unprofessional! They came out to fix my windshield on my 2021 Jeep, and now. " coincidentally " my sunroof doesn't work anymore. They came back out to look at it, and said they don't think it was anything they did. I said, "it was working fine before you guys came out, I want it fixed". They told me I would get a call from the quality team shortly with a resolution. I never heard from anyone!! Better yet, I've been calling for weeks and for some reason my call never gets answered as if they are screening calls! I made an appointment yesterday and drove 30 minutes to get there, only to be told the system was down and they would t be able to service my vehicle, but to leave my number and they would call me back when the system was up and running. I have now been calling them all morning because I never got a call and want to be sure I don't get charged for a service that never happened, and their phones seem to be on an automation system that will not allow you to speak with anyone and will not have to make that drive again just to hopefully get a response. Unfortunately, the repair on my windshield was not great. The man who came out to service my car was extremely delightful, super polite, and very kind. Although I'm sure it was due to the nature of the crack on my windshield, there's still a smudge which looks just terrible. It looks slightly better than a crack, but the fact that my windshield cannot be replaced or that it could not be repaired further is disappointing on a car that is only six months old. read more

I took me months to figure out why I was getting water in my car. It's garaged most of the time. I had several inches of water that built up in the battery compartment over time. The Safelite installer didn't fully seal the windshield. See the attached picture. They will be hearing from me as soon as they open! read more

I made an appointment online and the window I received was between 8-12. It was important to me to have my glass repaired before I drove 9 hours with my family to Pittsburgh and we were leaving at 1:00 so we would not be driving too late. When the technician didn't show, I called and got their automated assistant that said I should wait until the end of my appointment before calling and speaking with a person. I spoke with a person at 11:30 and she told me that they had not routed my install to a technician, because there wasn't one available and asked who I talked to because they should have told me that. I let her know it was an online appointment and I had a confirmation and that I needed to have this done soon. She offered to have a technician do the install but could not give me a time. I asked if I could be squeezed in if I drove to the shop and she said the earliest would be 3:00, which didn't work. After expressing my displeasure, she said the very earliest they could do is 2:00 even though she understood that their system failed and it put me in a bad position. All of this may sound like it is acceptable, but the tone was very much like I did something wrong with no ownership on their side while being snarky. I cancelled the appointment and went to Allstate Glass instead who was a ton more customer friendly. I will never use Safelight again. They clearly got too big for customer service. read more

The most disappointing part is he left my hood open and I jumped on the highway and it flew up. Could have been killed. You can not reach a human, they have no telephones where you can speak to someone. Even local calls go to a automated call center that does not allow you to speak to anyone. Its ridiculous, and very non-customer service friendly. I am surely going to another vendor for glass repair. read more

I've used safelite In the past because they are mobile and come to me. This is useful because I work 50-60 hours a week. I have tried now twice to set an applintment to fix my windshield, which has a gigantic crack in it only getting bigger by the day, and they've cancelled BOTH TIMES. The first cancelation was 3.5 hours before 12 and they said it was due to rain. Weather I can understand, although it was barely drizzling but I'll let it slide. Today, I scheduled it from 12-5 again and they called me at 4:23pm to CANCEL??!! Like no call prior to that at ALL letting me know they're running behind. This is totally unacceptable. Now I've got to wait until Saturday tog eat it fixed and cancel my plans. If my car insurance didn't have a contact with them I would use someone else. Let's hope Saturday they don't cancel A THIRD TIME. I am VERY unhappy with this business read more

Back in January we have a windshield replaced on one of our 62 trucks, no issue at all. Windshield cracks at no fault of anyone. schedule appointment to be fixed, they show up wrong windshield, again no problem , stuff happens, show up next time and say the job cant be done as a result f a visor on the vehicle, which was there when they did the first replacement with no issue, and the crew with the wrong windshield say no issue. I call 6-7 time to try and get a resolution and speak to a "manager" named Pablonever in my 52 years have I ever been treated so rudely and spoken to so rudely. I understand issues happen with wrong orders and such .....but attitude is not something easily over looked. read more

Had SAFELITE, Woburn come out for a windshield replacement on a 2005 Expedition on 7/14/22. The Technician informed me that "the installation didn't go well, I had problems". The windshield has excessive wind noise (to the point my hands free cell is unusable) and multiple leaks. These both create an unsafe vehicle, that I use to drive my 90 yo Dad around in. Safelite refuses to resolve\repair the issues...they just cancelled an appointment I had for tomorrow (7/25/22) morning to get this fixed. I have been in touch with the State Attorney General's Consumer Affairs Division. I also filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. Let's hope the unsafe condition they left my vehicle in does not cause a problem when I have my Dad with me. Plenty of other glass repair companies out there, including highly recommended Safelite franchises....only use Woburn Safelite if you like to roll the dice. Terrible way to run a business. Twice this week Safelite Autoglass did not show up to do a job during the scheduled time. When I called I was told that the glass has not arrived and whenever it arrives they will do the job. Of course I had to call them to find that information, they were not polite enough to let me know. In the meantime they held me hostage at home waiting for them. All the people were super friendly especially Juan, who replacement my windshield was exceptional.. Had a badly cracked windshield. My insurance got me a same day appointment at this location at 3pm. I show up at 2:30 to a gentleman (middle aged bald guy) that gives me an exasperated sigh and a shake of the head as he checks me in, like I'm the last thing he wants to see. Not the best first impression I'm led to a waiting room, asked for my keys, and not asked any questions. I'm assuming they have all the info I gave to my insurance. After about an hour, the techbician Juan calls me over and goes over the work. I got an OEM windshield, which was cleaned and they vacuumed the interior. AND they transferred over my registration stickers. AAAAND they gave me that special velcro for my EZ Pass! And he also saved my dash camera mount! Juan is the reason for my positive experience at Safelite, not so much the office staff. If not for him, this would be a 1 star review. read more

I was planning to share this feedback with Safelite, but several weeks after the work I haven't received any feedback link. First time around, the tech showed up half an hour after the appointment window and without the required special part for the particular windshield. He said he had told his manager before leaving their shop but was sent anyway. He was courteous but it still had me tied to home all morning, fortunately I can work from home. He told me they would contact me for an appointment when the part arrived. A week later I had to call to find out what was happening. Getting through their call center was a nightmare as it doesn't give any options for anything other than standard sales and calling the local branch reroutes to same prompts. Second time around another tech arrived AGAIN without the required part, saying they looked for it but couldn't find it in their shop but came out anyway. Why are technicians sent out "anyway" without the needed parts with no regard for the customer's time? I said they could get the part and do the job right now, or I would take my business elsewhere. Another employee arrived an hour later with the missing part. This guy wouldn't leave and kept yakking non stop unrelated to the job or their work, so much I couldn't hear myself think while I was trying to work inside. I finally stepped out and stood there until that courier guy felt he couldn't just party and left so the technician could focus on the job. The technician was experienced and courteous and the job got done but I am praying it was done right and won't fail, as I tremble at the thought of having to deal with them at all let alone for a warranty complaint for their own work. I had good experiences with a different JN Phillips branch before it became Safelite, this was my first time with this particular branch in Woburn that does mobile work. Their sales seems almost monopolistic as they get fed leads directly from the insurance company what seems preferentially. I doubt they will have motivation to improve, with so much coverage they've built. I will avoid Safelite and definitely this branch in future. read more

The experience was nothing but excellent. The phone scheduling was easy and they were available the next business day. My technician was extremely knowledgeable, courteous and quite efficient about the task. It was done much faster than projected, and it looked just like new. I would strong recommend them. My Wife Linda's front windshield on her 2-month-old Jeep Grand Cherokee was hit by a stone and chipped the windshield... Safelight came out and recommended a new windshield because the car was almost new..We brought it to the Safelite Shop in Billerica, was offered a cup of coffee and 90 minutes later we were set to go with a new windshield. I called my insurance company (Progressive rocks, BTW!) to report scratches and pitting on my windshield and they were nice enough to replace the whole thing for me. The Safelite guy called ahead to tell me exactly what time he would be there, he showed up on time (early, actually), he was polite, did a great job at replacing my windshield, and even cleaned all the car's external windows. Hands-down the best communication and service I have received from any company in quite a while. As soon as they got my information they contacted me via phone and email, set up the appointment for 72 hours later and they emailed me with the gentleman's name and picture that would be showing up, then he called me the morning of and a half hour before which was very convenient. He showed up and couldn't have been a nicer and more polite gentleman. Did a fantastic job, put my sticker back properly, put my auto remote thing back, didn't even look like he ever showed up. I try not to write reviews for places that aren't food related, but the process and customer service from Safelite was top notch. I filled out everything online, including my insurance policy number and location/date/time I wanted my windshield replaced. They called me the day before, sent an e-mail day of and called to pinpoint my appointment the day of. Juan was extremely friendly, and my only interaction was unlocking the car outside my office so he could do his work. He called me before and after and let me know he had put my inspection sticker, EZ Pass and car starter all back on my windshield, cleaned the windows, vacuumed the car, locked it, and left the receipt on the dash. I wish I had been out there when he was done to give him a tip. All in all, a seamless process on top of excellent customer service.
