Well I wish I could say I liked this stop but it will be a pass from now on. Located in a gas station complex which is very nice, this A&W needs a good scrub and window washing. Also tables need to be washed in between customers which we never saw happen. Cashier was nice and service was quick but the cheeseburger is not good and seems like processed meat. So this location just opened up a few weeks ago near me and I decided to give it a shot. I ordered the Chicken Tenders meal (Large) with fries and a Pepsi, along with a another side of the 3 Chicken Tenders. I checked the bag as I drove away because it felt light and of course the bag was missing the extra 3 Chicken Tender side I ordered. I pulled into the front and walked in to show her the receipt and just ask for the tenders I was missing, I am very polite and never raise my voice, I even say sorry, please and thank you when bringing up issues like this. The manager (I think) paused for a few seconds and looked at me and than said "Ill let it go this time" .... like I did something wrong? So I said, Okay.. thank you. I didn't make a big deal about it at all but all I could think was.. "How am getting blamed for this" But in their defense they are mostly young kids who seem like its their first job and just started working there so I know mistakes will be made. Also, the young man in charge of filling the orders and putting them in the bags did say he might have messed up my order and apologized and was very nice and pleasant so kudos to him for that, I told him not to worry about it at all and it happens to us all from time to time. The main reason I left a 3 star is my order was almost $18 for some of the smallest chicken tenders I have ever seen in my life.. I mean they were basically oversized chicken nuggets. Oh and also, they gave me a small order when I ordered a large meal as well. First world problems I know but A&W I am a little ashamed of how stingy you are being with your food portions, especially with these prices. Came here around 1830 to try the foot long chili dog. Cashier said onions is premixed so I went with it anyhow. Clearly the onion isn't "pre mixed in the chili" with it being perfectly on top. The chili itself is fantastic. As for the hot dog flavored chalk I bit into and the knife would barely cut,that was cold and seemed to be cooked from the day prior ,hard pass. Recommend staying away from this item. Also my first time going in to try it few days ago the cashier was taking orders and going behind to the kitchen area and his uniform was full of fur. Worker barely said 5 words, we had to verify they received the order, and this clearly didn't make this individual happy. When we got to the window, we wanted to give them the benefit of doubt but ended up with another worker who treated us as if we were infringing on their time while it took forever to make change. This is simply a fast food at a service station. People were friendly but the food was terrible... bland, no flavor. Wife ordered chicken sandwich tasted like a piece of rubber. She couldn't eat it. Highly recommend passing up on this place unless you just want a root beer. read more

A total waste of time. Very entertaining (not). I placed an order for 2 cones @ $3.99 each and paid with a $20. I got back a $1 & change. When I pointed out the mistake everyone went into panic mode. The cashier could not figure it out, the manager came over and pulled out her calculator. I had already told them what the correct amount of change should be. It was sad to see. The manager said she used the calculator because it had been a long time since she was in school. I said yea me too, I'm 75 years old. Guess there is something to be said about our education system. We have eaten here a couple of times, and have not been disappointed. Their 3pc pub fish and chips rivals some of the restaurants in the area. They actually use cod for the filets, and they are fried to perfection. They also have cocktail sauce as a side if you aren't happy with tartar sauce. The burgers are good, as well as their hotdogs. My husband and I went to the new A & W in Prescott Valley for a root beer freeze (our favorite treat) and we decided to try the fish dinner (against our better judgment because we had previously tried the chicken sliders and they were NOT good). I wish we had stuck with just the root beer freezes. We asked if they came with tartar sauce and we were told that the tartar sauce comes in the box. NO IT DOESN'T. Also requested ketchup and salt. Drive up to the window. Pay. Get our food. We check our bag. No ketchup. No napkins. No salt. We have to ask for those and we get them. We still think the tartar sauce is coming in the box. Nope. We decided to park and eat because we needed to get fuel after. We open our fish boxes (no tartar sauce in there!) and we see two TINY thin wafers of greasy fish literally not even a quarter of an inch thick and about the size of half a playing card each! The predominant taste was grease. You could barely even see the fish. The fries were good. Not quite hot enough but decent. Then comes the coleslaw. Of course no forks were included. I forgot to ask about the forks- our bad. There are literally like 12 teenage kids running around pretending to work behind the counter, and they just can't get the simple basic stuff right.. Put napkins in the bag!. So I decided I will just try a little pinch of coleslaw with my fingers, because I have no forks in my glove box and I want to see if it's any good, and it was rotten! Rancid. Well for $33 I don't want rotten coleslaw. I'm already feeling pretty ripped off about the tasteless greasy fish, sans tartar sauce. I go in, I ask for a refund at least for the portion of the $11 meal that the coleslaw would've cost and they say no....after keeping me waiting for about 10 minutes. They refund nothing! I left mad and I will never go back. And I mean I don't want to come off like I'm cheap. But $33 is a lot of money. It is really more about the principle. The fish was barely tasteable over the grease, and it was so minuscule of portion it was laughable. And then the last straw was the coleslaw and I just wasn't going to leave it and go home and be mad. I fully expected they would give me a five dollar gift certificate or a couple bucks back for serving me rancid food and I get nothing. Oh I could get another order of french fries but I really didn't want another order of french fries. I could get another order of coleslaw but I already got 2 rotten orders of coleslaw... So do I really want to give them a chance on more coleslaw? No, not really. So I'm out. I'm never going back. I will not give them any more of my money. And I suggest you guys stick to the root beer freezes and avoid the food-like items. I hesitate to classify this garbage as food. And, if you do order "food," don't expect anything to just be thrown in your bag, like napkins, forks, requested items like ketchup. Food was ok, standard fast food. service was a disaster. The counter attendant messed up the order pretty bad, part of the order didn't arrive. The server, then the manager offered nothing in the way of apology, and made us pay for the items they didn't deliver before I could get my daughters dinner.
