I received extremely flimsy frames that easily broke three times as part of a promotional deal. Fortunately he replaced the frames, but told me not to complain anymore. Then I paid the proprietor to cut a pair of lenses to a different frame and he did. When I got home I found several cracks in one of the lenses. I went back and he treated me like garbage before buffing the cracks halfway off. I find him unbelievably rude, even belligerent. I'm 66 years old and I have never met a ruder storekeeper. As with numerous other posters here, It became my opinion that saving a few pennies is not worth being treated like garbage, and for no discernible reason whatsoever. Bottom Line: I think there should be a "U" between the "B" and the "See." read more

I don't usually post reviews, however, this was a must. David is not just an optician he is a real artisan. I can only imagine the pride and joy he takes in his craft. He grinds his own glasses and therefore if I get a scratch on my glass(es ) I stop by the store and David grinds it out...just like new! When I purchase new glasses he reminds me that if I want a back up pair I can get a second pair for a very low price! Today I broke my frame. Sure enough, thanks to David, I had my second pair. This is the place to go if you live in the LA area and need glasses for your infant or toddler. They carry Miraflex frames, which are the flexible plastic like frames with an elastic band on the back to keep them on. The owner was so nice to take the time to find the right frames for my son who has needed glasses since he was 6 months old. He also had the lenses put in by the next day or two. Parking is tricky. I had a terrible experience with the owner here. It started okay. My first progressives, I brought in Oliver Peoples frames of my own and he worked with me to show me my options, fit them on my nose and did a correction for me after 3 days when I was struggling to focus on​ anything at all. He agreed the first try needed adjustment and did it. So good service until then. But a couple weeks of wear and I knew there had to be something off, there was just a small range of clear vision on the left side only. I went to my optometrist​ and she tested them, confirmed they were not made to my Rx and they were off on the right side by .75. She told me to show him and she was confident he'd retest and fix. She also said there was no blue-blocker. I checked my receipt and it said protective coating which I didn't order but no Digi-blue blocker which I did. I took them back, left them with his associate. The owner called and said the Rx was correct, he had no machine to test, doesn't trust them, but was sure it was correct. HE WOULD NOT FIX THEM. He also insisted there WAS Digi-blue, it was simply a mistake​ on the receipt. I said just show me the lab's receipt​, it should say Digi-blue. Nope. He retyped his own receipt and emailed it. That's dodgy to me. Holding them over white paper, there's no change and the optometrist​ AND the sales guy Oliver Peoples both told me there's no blue-blocker. David (the owner) argued there was, said he would get a machine that would prove there was Digi-blue but wouldn't fix the Rx anyway. I lost steam and I didn't​ want to see him again. Long story, less long: He wouldn't change them, I can't wear them and feel so ripped off. My optomologist recommended​ him and she was shocked. And there are good reviews here. But with me-- a problem-- he quickly turned dismissive​​ and arrogant. read more

I recommend ABSee very highly. I always hate going into a large, impersonal eye-glass center with way too much for me to look at or choose from, and prices that I know pay their advertising! At ABSee I get great, on trend glasses at a reasonable cost- so much so that often I can have an extra pair. I'm not overwhelmed, I don't have to wait for service. Fast, reasonable & good. I was in terrible pinch. Lost my glasses,and leaving for a trip in 2 days! David helped me select the frames and the only sell up was the very necessary no-glare feature. I got two pairs for close to what I normally would pay for just one! Lenses are good, frames are gorgeous. David promised the glasses for Friday afternoon (24 hrs) and I got them on Friday. We were sent here by our Pediatric Ophthalmologist to get bifocals for our three year old. David was awesome. He helped our very active son find the glasses that would be best for him. He has an amazing selection of glasses for children that are hard to break. I found this shop because the price rating was good (sick of the cost of replacing glasses), but they aslo have really high quality frames, their turnaround is quick and they are very helpful. I needed new lenses and refused to get ripped off by LensCrafters again. I brought my frames in and got wonderful lenses made by the next day. They offer polycarbonate and anti-reflective. Parking was easy at Coffee Bean next door, just buy a coffee and then walk over. read more

Before I gave AB See Optical a chance, I had been looking all around Los Angeles for an independent eyeglass store that would have quality frames/lenses at affordable prices that didn't just peddle overpriced and (in my opinion) overrated high-end brands. AB See is right next door to the Coffee Bean i go to on the way to work at La Cienega and 3rd Street. So I stop in during my lunch break a couple weeks ago and was very happy that I did. David owns the store and has been an optician in Miracle Mile for 30+ years. He was very well-informed, friendly and patient as i tried on a couple dozen different frames (I'm picky). Once I found my perfect frame, he clearly explained to my the options on lenses based on features/quality/price. Once I completed my order, I felt confident that I had made the right choice. Finally, he tightened up my old glasses and gave me new nosepads (or whatever you call those things) free of charge. I love my new glasses and will continue to come back for my next pair. read more

David was incredibly helpful. I purchased 1.74 index lenses to put into a pair of Oliver Peoples frames. At Oliver Peoples the lenses were going to cost close to $500. David saved me a huge amount and the lenses are as good and as thin as the ones Oliver Peoples makes (and I know because I've been a customer at Oliver Peoples for a long time). David is a great businessman and also quite knowledgeable. I noticed a couple of bad reviews on this site and all I can say is that I experienced no rudeness whatsoever, just the opposite.
