I contacted "A Better Plumber (Formerly A Better Sewer Inspection)" recently and they provided my with text reminders which facilitated and solidified when they would be coming out to check my sewer 3 inch-4 inch drain from inside my home all the way to where the city 10 inch sewer junction was. This was approximately 95 feet from watching the video sewer inspection. KC Collins (Carlton but goes by KC) arrived on time (perhaps even early) and rang my door bell, introduced himself and was careful of his surroundings within my home. KC, from the time he arrived to the time he left, was courteous, conscientious, knowledgeable, friendly and willing to do whatever it took to understand what the issues were and how to correct them. This young man was detailed in his dissemination of information with regard to the concerns he found whilst scoping my drain from the home to the street explaining each aspect and each finding as he conducted his manual scoping. He not only did not rush the work (he did work efficaciously the entire duration of his visit), he truly enjoyed the work he was providing me the customer with. KC even made some friendly small talk while he was scoping and explaining some of the blockage flow issues with my sewer drain 3-4 inch pipe which kept me at ease and made me feel relaxed during this process. KC contacted the office numerous times to communicate and schedule follow up Hydro Jetting in a few days and was able to get me scheduled in quickly without hassle. My only criticism is that your company could not locate a machine with cloning/replicating capabilities to fabricate more KC Collins employees as he was simply the best employee a company can employ with superior work ethic, genuineness, friendliness, sensitive to the customer needs, and present in the moment (he was focused on the work!). Most importantly when I was explaining and going on and on about the issues I was having with pluming, toileting not working right, KC actively LISTENED to me! He let me finish what I was saying and did not interrupt me and then rephrased what I said to clarify to make sure he understood what my issues with my sewer and toilet were. That is a rare thing in this day and age. KC is an excellent reflection of what an employee or representative or even face of a company should embody. I encourage the owners/managers of "A Better Plumber" to do one or many of the following: Give him a raise, promote him, make him a trainer with increased pay for doing so, but most importantly retain him any way you can ethically. I have conducted business with many company's/employees over the years and it is quintessential that your "front line staff/employees out in the field" reflect in a manner that is befitting of your philosophy, credo, motto which KC does in spades. Sorry for the rant/rave, however I feel that if you have read this far please consider this company and KC or KC type employees that this company offers to suit your plumbing needs. -Noah (July 29th, 2022). read more

I needed to repair a pinhole leak in my hot water line under the sink on Sunday morning. The technician named Avery came to my house around 4 pm. I told him I only want the pinhole leak repaired and that the condo was inspected a few months ago when I bought the condo. He proceeded to give me a multiple part quote. The first quote was $2500 to repair the pinhole leak. I was very clear and asked him again if the quote for $2500 was just to stop the pinhole leak. He said yes, but we also need to do the other work now. And he was getting together a second quote for a new water tank which he said was necessary .He also told me that I need a pressure regulator and some other items and When I said I cannot afford that he offered me financing. I told him to leave and he asked me for 39$ for the drive to my condo to quote me. I told him no. He then did not leave right away but stood there asking me why I am not going to pay him $39. I then asked him to leave again. On Monday morning I got a quote from a different company for $500 and on Monday afternoon I found a company that fixed the pinhole leak for $229. On Tuesday morning I Texted the owner to tell him what his employee had tried to do. He then called me. He was acting tough and tryed to make me feel threatened in some way so I told him I was going to write a bad review. He told me that if I write a bad review that he will be calling the police on me. I told him I am definitely writing a bad review now and he told me that he's going to have his lawyer sexually assault me. I wish I could type his words. This man Said he will rape me with a dildo. And he is a liar. And reminding somebody that I will self defend myself against them if they come to my house to argue with me is not against the law, after dialing 911 of course. The person who wrote the negative review for A Better Sewer Company is NUTS! I have NEVER had a bad experience with Travis with A Better Sewer Company. I am a Realtor and have excluvively used him for about 5 years. In that time he has been timely, honest and overall professional. He does not do any repairs so has no reason to fabricate issues when there are none which is refreshing and relieving. I leave with a papercopy of completion regarding condition of the pipe and a DVD of the scope and he follows it up with an email version of the video report within 2 days for easier delivery to agents and companies potentially doing a repair. In regards to the negative report, I can only wonder why a Realtor or person buying the home would not have been present to see the scope?? This sounds hoaky and fishy to me. I can only imagine that this person is confusing him with another company or...is another competing company. He has done my own personal line finding a major issue which averted many thousands of dollars in repair. Because of his customer service he has continually won my busines and that of two other agents in my company. I would be more than happy to speak with anyone who wants to validate this post. Rich from A Better Plumber came to our home to do a mainline inspection in order to help us sell our home. Rich was fantastic. We had a previous company come out and video the line but we were told if we wanted to hydro jet the line it would cost over $8,000 and would require digging and closure of the alley behind our house, which would be a huge inconvenience for all our neighbors. Rich took a look and said that our line was clean and didn't need jetting for one and that there wasn't a need to go through all the digging quoted by the other company if we had needed to jet the line. His honesty and professionalism were greatly appreciated and we will call this company every time we need a plumber. I'm so glad we'll still be in their service area once we get moved. On top of that, their price to video the line and get the report was significantly less than the other company as well. read more

Travis and his team came recommended to me and I could not be more pleased with my experiences. We hired A Better Sewer Company to complete our sewer scope during our home inspection. We received a video of the scope and full explanation of what it meant. Once the house purchase went through, we were so pleased to be able to hire A Better Sewer Company to come out for the sewer cleaning. Both experiences were timely and professional. Nearly two weeks after the successful sewer cleaning, our rental property had its sewer back-up and I was able to call Travis for an emergency cleaning service. Not only was he happy to help but he was so generous with his time and explanation of the back-up. This company and Travis are incredible. We just moved into a new house and had a blockage in our plumbing--another company told us that we would have to pay thousands of dollars for a temporary fix, and 10k plus for a permanent one, which involved replacing all of the pipes. We called Travis, he came right out, explained that the line just needed to be cleaned, then cleaned it AND even cleaned up where water had backed up into the shower. Gary was awesome!!! My husband and I just moved in to our new home and found out our laundry drainage system wasn't up to code, so we called A Better Plumber to install a lift station and a utility sink. Gary was quiet, courteous, and very patient with our barking dog. He did a great job and explained the new system to us so we'd understand how it worked. Chris came out to check my hot water heater. He found it was entirely rusted out in the bottom and was almost 30 years old. He replaced the water heater and all the lines.
