Some researching and i found Debra and Jesse with Mountainside Glass. Debra handled the insurance claim for me so I literally had to do nothing on my end. And both Debra and Jesse reassured me that they would take good care of me. While Jesse was there, the hubby asked about a chip in his windshield and Jesse took care of that since he was at the house anyway. Chip repair was pretty reasonably priced. From the first call last Monday with Debra to Jesse performing the replacement 2 days later, it was nothing short of a great experience.

The next price up was $87 and then $120. That much for average quality changes is crazy. Either the prices went up recently and I was never aware or it's just super expensive here. I'll give it a 2/5 just because they did do a decent job and it didn't take too long and the overall concept is very efficient, but the prices need to be lower for it to be worth it.

They wanted me to come back a THIRD time to have one of their "better" installers do the work, but I accepted a refund and sincere apology instead. The first time I was in, the installer soaked my armrest so badly it made my shirt wet and caused damage to the arm rest material. A different company had zero problems and took a fraction of the time at a lower cost. I personally asked the installer for the different company if there was anything difficult and he looked at me confused. He said there was no problem tinting the windshield. Therefore, I feel like Xclusive lied to me and was using subpar installers. The only positive thing to share is that the tint on my side and back windows came out nicely.

He took out his power washer and buffer on the spot and got almost all of it off right then and there in about 5 minutes, then explained what it would take to really get the rest of the staining off, with a decent quote to do the whole car. I had the property manager of my work building call him to pay for the service, then Scott got me scheduled on a weekend, picked up my car first thing in the morning, drove it to his shop for the job, and drove it back when he was done. He was very communicative and honest, quick to respond to my texts, and knows his stuff. When he brought my car back looking almost brand new, I fell in love with her all over again. Scott walked me through everything he did, recommended how to keep it looking nice, also pointed out how the paint on the hood is beginning to suffer some micro cracks from this awful heat and what to do about it. He also noted an oily residue on the engine that he couldn't completely get rid of and advised I might want to ask a mechanic about it just in case. Scott does good work, he's easy to talk to, punctual, and knows what he's doing. For the work he did and in this kind of heat, I'd say it would be worth every penny even if I'd been spending it myself. I'm going to want to have this done again next year, I know that for sure. I first came across A Better Tint this past summer when I was visiting friends in the Gilbert area. I had just bought a new car with stock tint but I soon realized it wasn't enough to block out the 110 degree searing heat and powerful UV rays. I lasted a whole day before seeking a reputable business. I went to A Better Tint and learned all about the different types of tint and their respective performance. I most definitely don't want skin cancer so I went with the Pinnacle Formula One film with 15% on all of the windows and Air80 on my sunroof. I also had my windshield tinted for extra protection. I am glad I spent a little extra because the quality can't be beat! My car stayed cooler in the insane desert summer heat and I had added privacy. I had been wanting to get my car windows tinted to protect both my interior and my skin from UV radiation and heat. Living in Arizona has it's challenges! The factory tint that came with my vehicle was peeling and needed to be replaced with high performance film like their Crystalline series from 3M. Wow, what a difference this has made! I feel like I'm looking through diamonds, and my car is so much cooler. I no longer have to worry about sun protection because now it is on my glass. The staff is fabulous, and the business is immaculate. My car was finished in no time...very professionally operated. I would love to use this film all over the windows of my house to protect my precious belongings from UV damage and heat...one day I will have A Better Tint come out and do this for me. We got a good deal for this place through BuyWithMe (similar to Groupon). Can't remember how much we paid to get the deal but it was worth $100 for a FormulaOne window tint. We scheduled an appointment through the phone which was hassle-free. They were able to accommodate us last minute when we changed our appointment and scheduled it for a week earlier. The guy at the front desk was very helpful in answering all of our questions. We were quoted "a couple of hours" for the tint installation for the rear and the back passenger windows but it only took them about 30 minutes. They told us they were able to get 2 technicians to work on it to get it done. Needless to say we were very pleased with the speedy service. read more

We just took our 2014 dodge 1500 ram in to better tint and a accessories where Eric the owner personally greeted us and walked us through our choices (which I had no idea there were so many shades to pick from ) listen to our needs and concerns. Gave us the pros and cons of the different shades gave us his opinion and let us make our choice. It's great to go into a business where the owner take great pride in what he does and still believes in the best customer he can provide. I would and will go back there in a heart beat. A better tint is the best shop I have ever used. I have used them for over 12 years for my personal vehicles and my customers vehicles. Eric and his team all amaze me with the quality of there work. I just had my wife's 2013 Lexus done with ceramic tint and a full clear protection film. I own a classic car restoration facility and paint is my profession. When I picked up her Lexus I asked Eric if they did the front bumper. They did I just could not see the plastic film. It was applied so perfectly that my trained eye could not see it until I bent down and looked. I can't say how pleased I am with his work. I will forever be a loyal customer. read more

I recently had A Better Tint tint my new Tempe office. A crew of three came out and tinted the entire office in a few hours. They were efficient and unobtrusive to my patients and staff. After Eric went over the different films with me, I decided to go with the Hilite Panorama film. It gave me great heat rejection with an almost clear appearance. My office has a beautiful view and I did not want to taint that with a dark film, but the west exposure was brutal for my patients. I love this Hilite film. It is better than advertised.. read more

In 2011 I purchased a groupon for my car to get tinted from this company. The process was seamless. Great experience and my car still looks great. As I was opening my new office I saw that ABetter Tint was running a Groupon for commercial tinting. Needless to say, I purchased one for my new office. They worked well with my contractor to get it completed before we moved in. I wanted a light clear film, so my patients could enjoy the mountain view. Ryan came out to give a quote on film for a glass shower and one bathroom window. He and Zack came out a week later to install. They are friendly and professional with great attention to detail. The shower door handle was wonky and probably needs replacing, but the guys worked around it. Ryan offered to redo the shower film at no charge if we decided to get the handle fixed. How nice! Then after a while passes by in waiting in the lobby and hear music so loud coming from the shop that it's shaking the walls. I was then told they are moving around cars to get mine out. I got my car when it was done and walked around. I saw several areas of bubbling which I've never seen before on previous vehicles being tinted elsewhere but they told me it's normal and will go away. Time will tell. I drive to the store and walk around and see a huge burnt/melted plastic piece on the outside of the B panel mounding. It looked like they melted it with a heat gun. I call the shop immediately and no answer. I then get a text saying we missed your call and I replied with the picture of the burnt paneling. I am told the issue will be fixed. I tell him I want it fixed by a Toyota dealer because it is a brand new car and I am told that in the agreement I signed that they do repairs. I called the dealer and was told the part is $42 and labor would be about $180. I then tell them the cost and he said he needs to ask his boss to get approval to reimburse costs from the dealer. To be continued.... Also to add. When my car was taken out of their service garage and brought up front, a young male with sagging pants got out. When I sat in my car I immediately smelled smoke. So I don't know if he just smelled like it really bad and it passed off into my new car or they were smoking in the garage. Either way not a pleasant smell especially since my wife had asthma and I have small children. I later found water all over my floor mats and several cut pieces of tiny laying in the cabin. Not a big deal if it was only that but the biggest issue is that they damaged my brand new car. The person that did it had to have known. I will post later with an update as I am supposed to hear back tomorrow from the boss. Beware!

Along with that they didn't even do a good job with the tint leaving bubbles everywhere that did not go away. Hector will dodge you and act like he's going to fix the problem and will constantly tell you that their "guys" are going to fix the problem. In the end they'll just give you the run around and won't actually do anything to fix the issues. I wish I had never went here for tint in the first place and would advise anyone I meet to never do business with them.

We were introduced to Andrew and OzBraz at a Tesla meet up. Right away we were impressed with the…read morestaff and the facility. The garage is clean and bright and the staff is friendly, and Andrew knows his business. We had a great conversation about putting a clear PPF over a color wrap to help extend it's life. We had our Tesla Y wrapped and were ready for a refresh. Andrew and his folks took good care of us. They removed the old wrap and installed the new wrap in less than a week. We chose to have a clear PPF applied over the color wrap. They suggest that the wrap set for a couple of weeks before the clear PPF is applied, so we took her back a couple weeks later and couldn't be more pleased with the outcome. In total, this is the fourth time I've taken a car in for a wrap and our first with OzBraz. Our experience here was definitely a notch above any other. We highly recommend Andrew and his team. We live in Fountain Hills, so it was a bit of a drive for us, but it was WELL worth it.
