**Review of A Fusion in Matteson** Today, I had a disappointing experience at A Fusion, a restaurant I have frequented for their house lo mein. Typically, I've enjoyed my meals there, but today's visit raised several red flags. I ordered two servings of the house lo mein, usually packaged in a nice box. However, this time, one order came in a plastic container, which struck me as unusual and not in line with the quality I've come to expect. The cost for each order is $16, so you'd expect consistency in both the packaging and portion sizes. Unfortunately, upon arriving home, I discovered that the order in the plastic container had significantly less food than the one in the box. Feeling frustrated, I decided to call A Fusion to address the issue. I spoke with a manager, hoping to find a resolution, but was met with dismissal. He insisted that this was how the food was packaged, despite my previous experiences saying otherwise. I gave him the opportunity to make it right, yet he refused to acknowledge the problem or offer any solutions. In today's economic climate, when many of us are mindful of our spending, I expected better customer service and accountability, especially from a place I've patronized multiple times. Instead, it felt like he was only concerned about maintaining high ratings rather than addressing customer complaints. It was disheartening to realize that my concerns were ignored, and I ultimately decided that I wouldn't be spending my money there again. To anyone considering dining at A Fusion, be cautious about their customer service. While the food can be good, it appears that feedback isn't welcomed. It's unfortunate because I genuinely liked this place, but if the management doesn't value its customers, I can't recommend it. My advice be careful how you treat your customers. We dined in on a Friday evening thinking we would have a nice meal. We waited for 10 minutes before someone acknowledged us. They took us to a table and asked us to have patience since they were understaffed. That our server would be with us when she can. She finally arrived to take our order and I asked if I could add a meal to go. She told me no - that I could order my meal to eat at the restaurant it would have to go to the pick up window, place my to go meal order, and pick it up from there on my way out. So I declined. When our bill came, we were charged an 18% dine in service charge. For two people, an appetizer, 2 drinks, and our meals after taxes, etc came to $133! After sharing my experience with others, I am told this is why they have a large to go business. Eighteen percent is high. We tipped our server on the side because we weren't sure how much of the service charge would go to here. read more

I recently had my son's high school graduation here. We had it the Hibatchi room. The food was excellent & the portions were plentiful. ALL of us had enough for leftovers. Because it was his special day, I allowed him to order the filet mignon & lobster tail. We both were veryyy happy !! The Filet was sooo tender!! did not need a knife. We also ordered sushi. YUMMYYYY ! All seafood was fresh & pink and large proportions. The drinks were very well priced & very strong. They also give table a free bottle of hot saki !! It was such an impressive party, that my estranged ex-husband even called the next day to say that my inlaws were very impressed & my son came home elated & couldnt stop talking about the fun experience. I HIGHLY recommend this restaurant for any special occasion such as birthdays, retirements or even business meetings. Honestly some of the best sushi I've had. The Mexican Roll and the Kiss of Fire roll are my favorites. The unlimited sushi is awesome because it's not like a buffet where it is all prepared ahead of time (which would creep me out with sushi) but it's made to order. For some reason, I think it was the texture, I didn't like the spicy tuna roll there which is one of my usual go-to sushi rolls. But everything else more than made up for it. I really liked the amount of options for the all you can eat menu. Most sushi places only have special prices on certain items and they are usually just classic rolls. Their menu is enormous and you can even get soup or edamame(sp?) with the all you can eat! The service is hit or miss. The first time j was there, our server was FANTASTIC and even let us order another roll without finishing the first but the other times it was just average. read more

I really love this place. Not only for the pretty decoration of the restaurant but also for their multiple choices of food type. My favorite is the real fresh taste scallop. I can really tell the difference. The Chinese style tofu ( which was from Taiwan originally according the manager) taste tend and soft my family all love it so much. Also the decoration is just so nice! I love the tables under the indoor tree( which according the manager the owner cut the real branches put on plastic leaves and place on the trees). One more thing: there's a bird cage hanging on the tree lol so lovely. read more

My first time eating sushi was here tonight, and I don't not regret it. Not only did me and my family come at an unreasonable time, (9ish, when the place closes at 9:30) but we came in unknowing of what we wanted. The employees were so kind and nice, told us to take our time and had smiles on their faces. They like to talk to their customers and the place itself is beautiful. The food is just as great, I'm a picky eater when it comes to food but everything here was great. Their orange chicken, white rice, California Sushi Rolls, and Dragon Rolls. This place has great energy and incredible food. It's packed on the weekends so if you order takeout, do it ONLINE (online orders have an instant 15% discount), but make sure you call a few minutes after you place your order to confirm they got it because the place gets BUSY. Try the gyoza, the summer roll, the A-Fusion spicy maki, the bagel maki and the vegetable tempura. The variety of fresh foods is amazing. The portions are (to me) quite large. One order of gyoza and three pieces of sushi is more than filling. Every meal I've had from A-Fusion has been one to rave about. read more

So fresh, so good!. Ordered Shrimp Hibachi; just right; tender, perfectly cooked and extremely fresh. Sauce with vegetables just right with a shish kabob/chinese marinate sauce which was perfect. My girlfriend had beef and broccoli (I know boring....) which was also perfect and very fresh. Decor is best in town and reflects the high quality. Everything's quality down to detail...the owner even commented he even has the best fortune cookies and you know what, he is right. A-Fusion is definitely a flawless diamond in the rough. The food is DELICIOUS. Not only that, but it is plentiful and priced nicely. I absolutely love getting a hibachi-style meal with rice, noodles, veggies, and meat. Never am I disappointed. I was first introduced to A-Fusion a couple of years ago and everybody who I've introduced since then, even though they too had never heard of it, has become a loyal regular like myself. A-Fusion is highly recommended on my list, a definite must try!!! read more

I love this place and the people who work there, I go at least 3 times a week. I have never had any thing that was bad. My husband is very picky and loves it also. As for the all you can Eat Sushi You must read the menu it says no sharing and you must eat all or you will be charged that is the same at all places that do that. Tony the Manager is wonderful Leo the sushi chef rocks but I love everyone that works there. It is my home away from home. read more

This is a great The servers aim to please and the combination fried rice is AWESOME!! They even deliver to Park Forest. Nobody delivers here but Aurelio's (good za). The smoothies are tastielishous and made with fresh fruit. I used to stop in Chinatown when in Chicago and swore I would not eat Asian cuisine anywhere but the Blue Moon Palace. I love the place! The staff are friendly and helpful. My wife and i eat there mostly for lunch when they have the all you can eat buffet which is a wonderful bargain considering the quality and variety of the food. They have now added a section for hibachi. So, we plan to try that with some friends soon. I highly recommend this restaurant. read more

I love this place! The wait staff is really great and the food is the best I've tasted in a long time. I love the Jazz on Thursday and Love Leo the sushi chef!! Keep up the great work. Please pass this along to your Illinois friends and relatives not to go to this restaurant that does not follow the law! read more

It's great that a hibachi grill is in the south suburbs. The food is good and the facility is nice and clean. Good for parties. I am not to fond of being placed at a table already full but that's hibachi. So it still gets the stars. read more

Any restaurant that denies a service dog is not a restaurant anyone should eat at. That's against the law! This is not a support peacock. This is an actual service dog that is needed and trained. You should be ashamed of yourselves. read more
