This establishment was disgusting! We had to requesting all new dining settings because the ones that were set out for us were filthy! They brought my boyfriend water in a visibly filthy glass. The food was ok, however, when we all went to put our left overs into our to go containers we started to find long strands of hair on the plates as if it was cooked into the food. Came here with high hopes. Sat down with only a few other people in the restaurant. Ordered the all-you-can-eat sushi. Ordered and received after 20+ minutes. Orders the second round and received half of it after 40 minutes. They only had one sushi chef they kept saying. Please plan on being here 2 hours for a quick lunch if you come. me & my wife have been placing delivery orders from A Fusion for 2 years now. the food is excellent. but today around 3:10pm, we went there to dine-in. we walked in & stood where by the podium waiting to be seated. After about 7 to 8 minutes, still no one acknowledged us or sat us. there were only about 3 small parties there eating so the cant say that they were too busy. there was a lady behind the front desk where takeaway order would be placed talkting to a customer. so i asked her if they were about to close because no one greeted us. she just ignored us so we walked out. read more

My boyfriend and I went to A Fusion for the hibachi style dinner. I must say that the service is VERY slow. The food was really cooked well and the portions were large. My boyfriend is an eater and he even had leftovers. But my concern was when we received the bill, a 15% gratuity was added to the bill already. It was just the two of us eating on the same bill. Most establishments add the tip to a party of 6 or more, not two. Most of the time I or he will leave a 20% or more tip if the service was great...voluntarily. But with this dinner since the tip was already added, that's all the server received. Then she had the nerve to say that we didn't leave a tip as we were leaving. I used to enjoy the food here very much. I would always order General Tsao's Tofu because of how good it was. Then, tonight, as usual, I ordered it for delivery to my home. When it arrived, I right off the bat noticed a change in the color and texture of the sauce and tofu. Instead of the sauce being thick and red, it was watery and brown, and tasted the same, if watered down. The tofu, instead of being soft, was firm and quite obviously a different brand. This is by far the WORST establishment that I have ever been to. Upon getting to A. Fusion for a friends birthday party I sat at the bar. I asked to see the drink menu and ordered a Mai Tai from the menu. The price listed on the menu was $7 dollars, but when my bill came the bill said $10. I was confused so I asked why was I being charged more? The bartender stated after hours drinks were more. However the price listed from the menu I ordered should have had precedence as it was her mistake for giving me the menu. I spoke with manager and owner who stated there was nothing they could do to rectify the situation. The price of the drink wasn't the issue as I frequently patron restaurants and bars that cost at least $10 for drinks. It was the fact that they didn't honor their mistake. On top of that, the crowd was predominately African American and no where visible was their signage that stated drinks or the menu increased after hours. This leads me to believe that they charge African Americans more to patron their establishment after hours and its a racist establishment. I will NEVER go back to establishment where they don't acknowledge their mistakes and would caution others to look into my acknowledgment of how they treat us as if our business isn't valuable and they can charge us more to patron theory establishment. The food is better than average for this type of restaurant. But, do not get anything to drink. I watched the bartender sniff glasses to see if they were clean. And I watched her taste a drink to see what was wrong with it, before pouring it back into the shaker adding more liquor and then sending it back to the person at the table. The sushi was passable but not great. It took a long time for the wait staff to bring back the orders. They have a policy that you can not charge less than $10 on a credit card which forces you to either run a tab at the bar or pay in cash. I would recommend paying in cash as when I tried to close out my tab the bartender brought me someone Else's card, when I pointed out that it was not mine she proceeded to bring several more and asked me to pick out mine. I would not recommend a place where you can not sit at a table and trust the bartender. But, as long as you are drinking water it is a passable place. With the right personnel, waiters, and especially bartenders it could be a great place. read more

First off A.Fusion is terrible. Had to be the worst chinese buffet ever. Also the sushi ranks amongst the worst I have ever had. The spicy tuna rolls were absolutely inedible. Blah! The person who took our order basically lied to us about the portions, which were not worth the cash we spent on them. I realize that options are very limited in the South burbs in terms of quality sushi but this A.Fusion is not worth the coin they charge. Dominicks carries better sushi and that's not saying much. The spicy tuna was nor spicy or very good tuna. Avoid this place at all costs. If u want quality sushi ur better off venturing into the city, try Sushi Wabi. read more

I visited this restaurant today with my boyfriend and left completely turned off! My boyfriend ordered crispy duck, vegetables and rice. I ordered miso soup,teriyaki chicken, and an appetizer of tempura shrimp and vegetables. To start with the waiter Kevin was very lack luster, just gave his minimum. My teriyaki chicken tasted scorched, the tempura was over fried. My soup was ok. My boyfriends; duck was dreadful too salty and dry. Vegetables were bland. I asked Kevin to speak to the manager he told me the manager was not in. After telling him about our dissatisfaction, he told us he would get the supervisor. Susan came to the table, I explained to her about our food, she replied that crispy duck was salty. I explained to her that we have a chef in the family and crispy does not mean salty. We left 90 percent of our meal on our plate, she replied she was sorry, and discounted the meal for 15 percent. Susan is obviously clueless! I met my mom here for late lunch on a Sunday. We had the Godzilla Rolls - YUM - Crab Rangoon and shrimp and beef Lo mein. Delicious. Although my husband and I generally order from Asian Fusion twice...maybe three times a month, last nights order was HORRENDOUS. I took one bite of the fried soft shell crab appetizer (loved the salt/pepper soft shell crab dinner in the past) and it was nothing but grease. Had to throw it away ($8 wasted). When we call to talk to someone about it no manager was around and no one was available to help us out. SO if you go there only use cash!!! I thoroughly enjoyed my first visit! I was very hesitant because my husband and I are very particular when it comes to Chinese cuisine. We enjoyed every entree! The egg drop soup was hot and delicious! The appetizers were not overcooked! We selected the dinner for TWO which could have easily fed a group of Four. The pepper and tomatoe beef was delicious as was the shrimp fried rice and orange chicken. The decor was nice and the overall atmosphere was very welcoming. Our server was excellent! She was very courteous and attentive. Since it was our first time we had several questions which she graciously answered. We will definitely return. read more

My parents were visiting and wanted to take my husband and I out to dinner, so we were exploring the area and found this restaurant. We'd seen it but never been there, so we decided to give it a shot. The Food: We ordered egg rolls and pot stickers as appetizers. The egg rolls were moist inside, which was good, but just rather bland and heavily shrimp-concentrated. I like more variety inside my egg rolls. The pot stickers were possibly just above average in taste, but they were very doughy and didn't seem like they had been cooked all the way. There is also a salad that everyone was served; this salad consisted of some of the worst-quality lettuce I've experienced in a restaurant and dressing that seems like it came out of a bottle and was then watered down...I was very disappointed. My father had beef curry fried rice from the Thai menu as his entree. It was marked as spicy on the menu, but it was definitely not spicy. There was mint mixed with the curry; if done properly, this can be delicious, but it just tasted awkward and poorly planned. My mother had vegetable soup from the Chinese menu as her entree, and really all you could taste were the vegetables; she added a copious amount of salt to try to salvage it. My husband ordered chicken over basil from the Thai menu, and it was probably the best thing that anyone received all night. It was mildly spicy (which, again, it was denoted as being spicy on the menu, but at least this dish was trying) and had a lot of flavor. But the basil hadn't been cooked into the dish, so there were just whole, large basil leaves throughout the dish, not basil flavor throughout the dish. I ordered the Malaysian-style tofu, and to say I was disappointed is an understatement. My peas tasted raw, and the tofu had not been cooked all the way which gave it an awful texture. The tofu were covered with egg, which I've seen done before, but it seemed that the pan had been too hot when this dish was being cooked? The egg was slightly burnt, but the tofu wasn't done...and the peas were raw, as well as some of the onion. The Service: We were greeted immediately and led to one of the three dining areas. The hostess was courteous and wonderful, no complaints there. Our waiter was there promptly to take our order, but since we had never been there, we needed a few minutes to decide what to get. Our waiter seemed almost over-eager, he stood a few feet away and watched intently until we had put down our menus. It made me a little uncomfortable, to be honest. Then there was food delivery. Our food came out extremely sporadically. We all got salads at once, but it was as though they were cooking one dish at a time back there instead of working the entire table like I'm used to. We had been eating our appetizers for about two minutes when my food showed up. Then about ten minutes later, my mother got her soup, and so on. I suppose this wasn't necessarily a bad thing, but it was odd. Then we had slight issue. My father thought he had ordered beef curry over noodles, but apparently there was beef curry over noodles or beef curry fried rice, and our waiter did not ask to clarify which he had ordered. When the food showed up and wasn't what he wanted, my father asked to see the menu to figure out why he had gotten fried rice instead of noodles, and then realized there were two dishes, and opted to keep his fried rice anyway. But our waiter tried insisting for several minutes that he take the dish back and make what my father had intended to order, despite his protesting (and eventually we all chimed in to try to help things along) that he didn't want something different. My father shortly afterward got up to use the restroom, and our waiter rushed over to our table to ask if he was all right and coming back. I saw mention of this in a previous review of someone being chased down by a waitress to make sure he was coming back to the table - do people just get up and leave often? I'm not sure that's true, but that's certainly the impression we got when our waiter looked so very nervous that we were all just going to leave. In the end, since I suppose our overall disappointment with our dinner was obvious, our waiter took 15% off the bill, which was very nice of him. So, my final verdict? We will not be back. The food was a decent price for the portion size, but the quality was just not there. It was very, very loud; we could clearly hear everything that was going on in the habachi grill dining area, which was completely separate from ours, but the acoustics there are just poor. The benches and chairs are made of plywood and just aren't that comfortable, which I could forgive if the food was good...but it's not. Very disappointing experience, which is a serious shame since it's so close to my house. Always looking for something good in this area. I guess I'll keep looking. read more
