We came here to find some rice paddy herbs, sadly they don't have it in stock . It's a small Asian grocery store with quiet a selection of vegetables and herbs . Unfortunately it's not really well organized of merchandise on the shelves . Plenty of parking spaces

Picked up some meat patties (pahut) and found roach legs in the package! Gross!

Just picked up some pahut for my kids and found roach legs in the packaging. Gross! -5 stars

Heard so much about the beef jerky sale here. Finally got to buy some back to Orange County for friends and family to try them too. Taste so good....perfect marinated and the price is not bad.

AJ Mart on West Ln in Stockton, California Yelp Challenge 95/100 This is a cool little Asian market to grab some food. We only come here when we're about to get our BBQ on in Lodi. They sell all sorts of stuff here from rice to cigarettes. There is a small area in the back to get some meat. That's all we get meat and we dip out. The market is pretty small, as soon as you walk in there is a table with pre made food to buy. On the far left corner is the rice section. The veggies are on the back right of the market. In the center is pretty much knick knacks. Sincerely VD.

AJ Mart is located inside the Normandy Village Shopping Center here in Stockton a few doors down from the SF Supermarket. My mom found this Asian Market and found out that their meat prices here are seemingly cheap, they price them at a reasonable cheaper price than the SF Supermarket and many other Supermarkets here in Stockton. The store itself is not fairly large, it's actually pretty small in size but it's your mom and pop type of store. They have fresh produce, meat & poultry, and many other Asian goods for a decent price. Customer Service here is great, very attentive and friendly. Open everyday from 8 AM - 7 PM. Overall, a great local business to support. Support your local business people!! 4 stars.

Authentic asian grocery shopping with mom! I'm gonna eat good tonight...

Pretty upscale market with a nice deli and bakery for this area. I'd say real close to Whole Foods…read morequality and the prices match. But this local indy store has been around in this town for over 55 years, so it is well deserved for them to be a local fave. I only got a sandwich for the road and a bakery item, so no significant grocery shopping. I was traveling back home and didn't have a cooler so I refrained. But next time if I have a cooler, their meat counter will get exercised. Got a Salami Sandwich ($11/4*) from their deli and it was pretty solid. Every sandwich is customized, so every customer fills out a card, checks off your preferences and hand it over to a deli clerk. Nothing out of the ordinary here, just your basic sandwich stuff, but with quality and fresh ingredients. I liked everything in my sandwich, was even to put alfalfa sprouts in it, as I haven't had that option in over a decade. I wished there would have been an option to add oil n vinegar to make it more 'Italian' tasting, so I had to settle on just mayo and mustard, which is more classic American tasting to me. Still a solid sandwich that I was able to eat in 2 intervals so a decent value in my book. Coffee Crunch Cake ($7/3.5*) Very impressive tall cake with a very moist crumb. A little too industrial tasting for me but better than other grocery cakes like Safeway, which taste like plastic to me, so many additives and stabilizers. Cake part had a light chocolate taste, but maybe it was supposed to be more coffee-like? I couldn't taste any coffee except for this super hard and sweet candy on top used for garnish. Indeed that candy offered a 'crunch' element but in a very cloying and awkward way. Sure it was nice and glossy and even resembled shiny coarse stone like obsidian. But to take a bite that big of hard candy to go along a delicate cake was just too extreme for me. I think if that candy were in smaller chunks, more like a crumb texture, it would disperse more sending coffee flavor more evenly and not risk breaking a tooth on that hard sweet candy. I had higher hopes for this. Gawked at their butchers counter and it was pretty darn impressive, Pretty high quality stuff but also insanely expensive. Steaks start at $20 per pound and easily rises double to triple from there. But they got some serious cut steaks here, like 2-3 inch thick cuts and they even have a couple versions of wagyu steaks. Nothing is prewrapped, everything has to go through a clerk. Produce section just meh and regular. Well kept but Safeway may have a more extensive produce section. Dry goods definitely Whole Foods level. They seem to have a guy out front bbqing meats like sausages and tri-tip, like 7 days a week, which is impressive. I got there around 11 am and the employee was just setting up. Otherwise I may have tried something. Cool store, that if this were in my town, I'd be a reg. Since I was just a passing traveler, just call me impressed.

I love to cook, so of course grocery shopping is fun to me. Their house generic goods usually cost a fraction of the price that competitors charge (including the other store that starts with a W!) Make sure to hit up the bulk bins. I bought about 2.5 weeks worth of groceries -- including cheese and some delightful chocolate wafers -- for under $65. I even found some brands and products that I can't easily find in my own area (Contra Costa County.) At checkout time, things move pretty smoothly and efficiently. My checker was friendly and super speedy. I was able to bag up my own groceries out of the way of the next shopper, which I think keeps the lines running quickly. I'll definitely be coming back again!

So today at around 2 pm, I went in and bought cream cheese, bread, Diet Coke mini's, Coke mini's,…read moreand fruit snacks. I get to the register and the worker RoseMarie was my cashier. A lady in front of me had an adorable baby so I complimented her on how beautiful her daughter and said that my biggest dream is being a wife and a mom. Rosemarie looked at me with disgust when I had said that. Then when I paid for my things, I had NO POCKETS so I had to pull the money from my bra and she got disgusted and said "I have to touch that. That's disgusting" and proceeded to put on hand sanitizer in front of me. May I add, I took an hour long shower before leaving my house to be met with horrible, rude, bitter woman. Winco HR please look into her customer service background because I'm pretty sure she has none. She is rude. I'm 24 years old and I have more respect than her. And lady, grow up. You made my day absolutely horrible in the worst way possible.
