As a girl who as a peanut/treenut allergy this place is incredible! They're loud and proud about their no nuts and it's posted on their door and it's also a nut free environment. Inside is very kid friendly and a pleasantly decent size. Great ice cream selection, also have other options like sorbet. Have a freezer with ice cream you can buy prepackaged for home. Also sell kids clothes. The "wired" was 10/10 The " mint chip" 6.8/10 I can't remember what I paid but it was not pricey in my opinion for a large cup and 2 flavors

I never knew that a small place could handle So Much. But they did! Ice cream was delicious! I want to come back soon! The manager came over and suggested I get a two scoop cone. He and the staff were so professional! Bathroom was large and spotless too.

Simply the best! We truly appreciate the options for our nut allergy/celiac teenager and we enjoy our ice cream there as well. I had the pink sprinkle this trip, my teen had the chocolate. There are gluten free cone options as well. We were even able to pick up some Vermont Nut Free chocolates for a treat later this week. Thanks A La Mode, for helping our kids with food allergies just be a kid!

Delicious ice cream. The big 2 scoops are shareable. I had the chocolate and wired (coffee) flavors. From outside, I wouldn't have noticed it was an ice cream store. Sometimes, there are strollers parked outside. It has a separate room for kids parties. There's a few tables to sit inside, but ice cream can be eaten anywhere. The staff are really nice and friendly. I was able to try a few flavors before picking the 2.

Definitely try the dulce de leche ice cream

A La Mode Shoppe has some fantastic ice cream at an extremely reasonable price- what is not to love? The employees and owner are also amazing and very patient (especially with my mom who basically wanted to try every flavor since she couldn't make up her mind). We had the espresso flavored ice cream with chocolate chips in addition to what I believe was a salted caramel. Needless to say, it was great. I plan on visiting A La Mode after any Broadway show I go to- how can I not? It's worth the walk all the way to the east side versus any gelato place in the Theater District if you ask me! And there is nothing wrong with supporting local businesses with great quality ice cream :).

    Fluffy ice cream!

Looking for fluffy and delicious ice cream? This is the place to go! I know fluffy isn't the best word to describe food, but looking at the ice cream, it really does look like a fluffy cloud. Regardless of the look, this ice cream shoppe it's a must when you're in NYC!

Amazing little shop with a very cool concept -- it's a small shop for kids with toys and lots of cool ice cream flavors. There are a lot of very specific ice cream flavors, such as dairy free flavors, etc. that make the place great for kids with allergies. I got one scoop of the rose ice cream and it was FANTASTIC! I didn't want to try any flavors in store bc COVID, so I was worried that the rose flavor would be too subtle or there would be too much artificial flavoring/ sugar; however, my fears were unfounded. The ice cream was creamy and had a strong rose flavor -- 1 scoop was definitely not enough! Would highly recommend this small little shop for your ice cream cravings and will definitely be back to try their other flavors!

Super cute little shop with ice cream and toys. Everything was made for kids like the little cones. I ordered a small ice cream cup and it came with a spoon that changed color. The place was nicely decorated and had a good ambiance. The bathroom was clean and had a stepping stool for kids.

The cutest little ice cream shop. I love that they are so allergen friendly and have sooo many delicious nondairy / vegan flavors! Perfect for kids and adults alike.

What are ingredients in their vegan ice cream ? Coconut milk or are they only sorbets?

We currently carry sorbets in our nyc Shoppe. Our sorbets change seasonally. Dairy Free is in the works (oat milk) and will be available in the near future.

There are different types of cold treats: gelatos and more slushie like consistency frozen confections that are served in a cup. My vegan friend appreciated that he could choose from multiple vegan flavors, not just be limited to the one and only offering, which is what most places usually have. Melon flavor was incredible. Tasted like frozen melon was crushed with ice and chopped into an ice/smoothie blend. Super refreshing. Very sweet, though. All flavors are very sweet, so a small portion can be shared and you will feel satisfied. I personally enjoyed their in-house special flavor of gelato: honey cream with crushed almonds, pistachios, and hazelnuts. That was bombastic! Love how nutty the consistency was. I love nuts, so this almost reminded me of a chunky peanut butter situation: just more fine grained and smooth, with gelato being the base. Highly recommend trying this flavor! Focacia was okay. A bit too dry and bland for my liking, but still decent. My favorite item was the pistachio bombolone which is officially now my favorite dessert. This was magnificent! The yeasty dough was so light and airy--perfectly light and balanced. The filling of pistachio cream was very delicate and not sweet at all, which was such a nice surprise. I do not like saccharine dessert. The fresh raspberry jam was a perfect balance to the pistachio cream. I never like jams in my desserts, but this was a perfect complement. Woooow, what a treat! Can't wait to return for it and to try more of their other flavors--hazelnut & chocolate, coconut, white chocolate, tiramisu. You could taste the superb quality of the ingredients. Highly recommend.

And I'm from Maryland (Murlyn), I don't mean a sno-ball. I mean that flaky, instantly melting ice carved mechanically using some kind of drill motor with all the torque, off a block the size of a dorm fridge and then topped with syrupy fruits and condensed milk and such. And this wasn't that either, but I now need to find a place for this near me. It was more like regular ice cream at a soft-serve consistency, topped with all the things-- that part was as expected. Hubs & I were thinking of getting two different things but we both wanted the mango madness, and then the checkout person said it was the size of a quart container. So just one then. I wish we got to see it being made up but it was full in there (at 10p, after the theaters let out), and they seated us and gave us a buzzer that went off almost immediately. We almost didn't finish it even between the two of us. Absolutely delicious, just overwhelmingly enormous. It could be a low-grade food challenge to complete it! And with all that fruit, actual mango chunks and a banana, it's practically a healthy snack. Gotta find one of these closer to home!

There's just something special about their gelato--especially when topped with that rich pistachio sauce. On a previous visit to their Times Square location, I had one of their more decadent creations: gelato with waffle sticks and pistachio sauce. It was absolutely heavenly and incredibly delicious. This time, I didn't have room for something quite as indulgent, but I still wanted something sweet after dinner at La Basque. The closest Amorino was in Greenwich Village, just a 10-minute walk away. That walk alone is always a treat--Greenwich Village is charming, pedestrian-friendly, and full of outdoor dining and energy, especially on a September Saturday afternoon. I grabbed my gelato to-go and chose the amarena and hazelnut flavors, topped with the signature pistachio sauce. They poured the sauce at the bottom of the cup, and it hardened slightly to create a delicious shell underneath the gelato. I enjoyed it while walking through the Village, soaking in the late-summer atmosphere of the city with gelato in hand. Simple, sweet, and exactly what I needed.
