This this was our second visit. We were sat at a tale by the window. We just stopped in for a pizza and calamari our waiter Stephen took our order and said he would be right back with our water. We got our calamari and no water we had to flag him down just to get some water then we asked him for some straws. He said he would be right back with the straws but we had to ask the waitress for straws because he never came back. He never came back to refill our water. He never asked us if we wanted dessert. Also pizza is a finger food and the napkins that they give you are so thin that after the first wipe you need another napkin so I would recommend giving at least a couple of napkins when people order pizza. We liked the food on both visits, but the service has been substandard. read more

Loved this place. I'm so happy they opened up in my neighborhood. We've been here a couple of times, ordered a pizza, salad and appetizer to share. Enjoyed our food every time. My favorite so far is the Calabrese pizza but we've only been there twice and very much looking forward to checking off other items off the menu. Salads are delicious and generous portions, definitely shareable. Haven't tried their main entrees yet... will submit another review once we start trying those. First off, this place is huge! So awesome they turned such a big part of the building into a spacious and elevated restaurant. Amazing happy hour, Margherita pizza is THE BEST PIZZA I HAVE EVER EATEN!! Now granted, I am from Minnesota and now live in Arizona, but blows away all of those burnt pizzas they call "artisan." This is yummy, amazing sauce, gooey cheese. Drizzled with olive oil and laid with fresh basil MARGHERITA PIZZA! The clams and linguine is awesome. The calamari, the meatballs, literally everything we ate was reasonably priced, full of fresh ingredients, and a family owned, local shop. If you don't try this place, you're stupid. I love you, but come on, support local family eateries that have amazing happy hours and great ambience. Do it! read more

This is a new restaurant to NE Mesa. The interior is well done feels expensive for being in a strip mall. We so far have only got their wood-fired Neapolitan pizzas. They are extremely delicious and reasonably priced. 5 stars for the pizza alone. read more

The food here will transport you to Italy! I've never been there myself but I can't imagine the food there being any better than it is here! I've been here multiple times and tried many items. Everything I've tried has been DELICIOUS, and the service is always great (we either eat at the bar for dinner or in the cafe part for breakfast). They just opened last week and I can't wait to be back. The pizza is the best and tastes just as good as their Mimi Forno location. The meat sampler was amazing and the roasted potatoes a hidden gem of a side. The foccasia appetizer is a preview for what the pizza is gonna taste like if you order it! Soft and crispy but somehow doughy in all the right places (like me lol). On your way out grab pastries from their bakery (didn't know they had it!) But save them for later. 2nd visit and the positive vibes are headed in the right direction. 3 tries and I'm out! Visit 1: Took friends here for dinner & service was very poor (too much to list here). Visit 2: Stopped in for coffee on a Sunday at 2PM but not allowed to sit on bistro side because ALL tables are reserved for "diners" (restaurant was empty) - options were to either sit at cramped coffee bar where only 2 barstools are located next to the wall or outside where two small coffee tables were located and both were occupied. Visit 3: Had TWO drinks (small servings) at the bar & server rushed us out (when no one else was at the bar), bill was $30 for two drinks and no food (my drink was only $9 & I tipped 20% - placed both drinks on same tab). We decided to eat at the bar because the ambiance was incredible. The bartender was attentive and informative. We ordered the calamari as an appetizer which came out quickly and was very tender. I had the short rib plate for dinner, great portions, very tender and flavorful. My wife had the seafood ravioli, which was tasty with a good seafood flavor. The food was edible. That's the best I can say about it. My husband had the spaghetti with meatballs. The meatballs were huge and dry. I had the linguini with clams. The linguini was okay, but I guess I am not sophisticated enough to appreciate the meal. The clams were still in the shell. No bread was served or offered, either before or with the food. The service wasn't very good either. When we only wanted water, the server made a face. She was also slow to take our order and to bring our ticket at the end of the meal, although she knew we were finished because she asked if we wanted to order dessert. New restaurant... much needed... beautiful. No children's menu... no bread served with pasta dishes... but you can get 3 baguette slices for $5.00... thought that was a little excessive. My pasta sauce was not properly emulsified, some liquid, hence the bread order to soak it up, but I have to say it was flavorful. Have been to the cafe and thoroughly enjoyed the Italian pastries. Bland Food! Three of us went there for dinner. We had pizza and lazanga. The pizza had a one-inch crust around the edge. Bread Sticks, but did not come with dipping sauce. We added sausage to our pizza. I could count the sausage pieces on one hand. The pizza did not have much flavor. Some lazanga noodles were so hard you could not cut them with a knife. This dish was also bland. The restaurant looked new and was clean. The service was just average. We told our server about the hard lazanga noodles, but nothing came of it. Modern looking new restaurant in a sleepy strip mall. They did a great job with the renovations, the atmosphere of the restaurant was cozy and inviting. We had a larger party so we had a bit of a wait on a Saturday night, but that was to be expected. The staff is obviously new, since the restaurant has only been open a few weeks, and they are still learning the menu. Our waitress offered suggestions of entrees she "heard" were good but didn't have much experience with the menu. But drinks were kept filled, ordered were placed and delivered to the table timely, and the food was delicious. The pizza crust is a doughy/chewy crust, which is my favorite kind. The Don Enrico was a unique pizza, featuring a mini calzone on top?, but the flavors were great! We stuck with the pizzas this time but plan to go back to try the pasta! read more
