I feel safe bringing my car here. Like everyone says, Lei is super honest and does a great job. He works quickly and the prices are fair. Someone tried to offer him a big tip, but he refused. Lei thoroughly explains things and will always try to do less to fix the problem, in a good way -- originally says you might need 4 new spark plugs, sees 2 are still ok while they work on it, so will inform you, and with your ok, only change 2 and charge 2. Sad that he's the exception and not the rule -- an honest, knowledgeable, professional technician with great customer service... And a great team of techs supporting him. I got my oil changed here twice. Rotors resurfaced and brake shoes replaced. Air filter replaced. I intend to come here again in the future. Overall, very fast and excellent work at very fair prices. My only recommendation is that you call ahead and make an appointment. This place is packed with customers. Honestly there is no better and much more forthrightly honest mechanic other than Sir Lei Du. This guy really cares about the common good for the humanity of the people he's servicing. For the first comment, I solemnly doubt that this place would even remotely rip you off. When I had to return for a problem to Firestone for not fixing and diagnosing a problem efficaciously, they charged me again. These guys wanted to make sure I didn't incur a supplemental cost if the problem was ascertained to be fixed altogether. I recommend anyone come here for any car problem that they can solve (trusting it's a universal problem that doesn't require dealership specific maintenance). read more

Took my truck to these guys based on the great Yelp reviews. I was not disappointed. They were fantastic. My truck had a really tough electrical problem to diagnose. They painstakingly looked for the problem which took some time and kept me posted all along the way. Lei, the service manager, was extremely friendly and helpful throughout the process. Actually My engine light had been on since yesterday ,I went to the Acura dealer in Pleasanton ,cause I bought my car from there, but the Acura said they don't have the machine to check out my car's problem! Lee (sp?) and A-One took great care of us! We needed a pre-purchase inspection for a used van and Lee not only did the inspection, but gave us the right questions to ask the used car dealer. The vehicle had been in an accident, so there were multiple concerns on our side. He answered all our questions and did not even charge us for a second check we ran (for a specific issue we wanted him to double check). A-One is the place to go in San Leandro/San Lorenzo.
