They once replaced a radiator in a car without first pressure testing it. A fundamental step in radiator replacement. The radiator leaked. So they had the gall to charge me for the first installation AND for the removal of the bad part and installation of what, I guess, they hoped was a good part. Picked up car and there was no heat. They had failed to burp the cooling system using the small plug on the holding tank made for that purpose. Another time, I arrived 8-10 minutes before closing only to find the office doors locked and my car in the lot UNLOCKED. I had a valet key and I drove the car home. My wife took her car to this place for an oil change and State Inspection. The 'mechanic' left off the access panel under the chassis for oil pan access. I was told they could not get the part for weeks. I found the panel on eBay for $15. I have not used this place for some time now, but I felt it necessary to forewarn people who are considering taking their vehicle to Forest Automotive. BEWARE.

I had a scheduled appointment at 11:30 AM and I did not get my car back until nearly 2 PM and this was only after I went into the service area and found my service ticket on the service desk. Unsure as to how long it been sitting on that desk I commented to the young lady that 2 1/2 rather long for a simple oil change, and I immediately got an earful. The service advisor, Amanda, proceeded to tell me how terrible her day was going, and how much of an inconvenience it was to stay on top of things seems to me someone needs to remind Amanda that she's in a service industry, and her level of customer service is somewhat disappointing. As for the work that was performed, I'm sure that was satisfaction and no issues with the service team.

These guys are truly as good as it gets. I've been bringing all of my vehicles to them since 2013,…read moreand they have always done what they could to diagnose the exact problem without overcharging. They are very polite, and they explain what needs to be done. I have repeatedly attempted to take my cars to the dealerships which I won't name, but without question, every single time they attempt to find something incredibly expensive to be wrong with my vehicle. Aid always finds the actual, less expensive problem. It's really just comical at this point how some of these dealers get any business when you have places like Aid in business. They don't take appointments so you have to get there early but it's worth it! Since I have been going to aid for so long and this just happened this morning, I will give an example. I brought my car to a dealer yesterday because my engine light was on. It didn't say check engine it was just a little picture of an engine. I had just been to this dealer for an oil change and everything I read online said it was probably a loose cap of some kind. I brought it in there and they looked at it, and they told me that everything was nice and tight, and then it was probably something more like the engine. They didn't have any appointments for me for another two weeks, and I didn't trust them anyway so I left and called Aid. I went in there this morning and they kindly put me at the front of the line because it was just a quick look at the light. They lifted up the trunk and immediately found the loose gas cap that the dealer "could not" find. And no charge! They are just the best so I had to give that example. There are many others. Few days later she left to drive back to Lynchburg and I was a panicked to later see a puddle of oil where her car had been parked. Thankfully the car survived the 3.5 hour drive. I contacted Larry's and explained the situation, they got her in immediately, diagnosed the issue and had it fixed within an hour. They were incredibly nice to my daughter, she was so impressed. I am very grateful for their professionalism, courtesy and prompt assistance. They've definitely earned a repeat customer!

He explained in detail what could be the problem, but asked me to bring car in, NO PROBLEM. Next, I asked did I need appointment, and cost, he told me I didn't need appointment, and there would be NO cost for test, and it would be up to me if I wanted to get it fixed. This is where everything took a turn for the worse. I went in, asked for Justin, and told the young man at counter, I had just spoken to Justin, and he told me I could come up for him to do test. The young man advised JUSTIN that I was there, JUSTIN told him he NEVER talked to me about bringing my car in, and didn't tell me there was no charge, and the fee would be $98. Next, JUSTIN came to the front, didn't acknowledge me at all, turned around quickly, and went back to the car he was working on, at this point I'm feeling DISRESPECTED, and JUSTIN LIED about a conversation we had about 40 mins prior to me getting there. How would I know to ask for JUSTIN if I had not talked to him prior, and why would I take the time to drive up there?? If JUSTIN would LIE about a PHONE CALL he had with me, I feel he would LIE about anything when speaking with customers. I would advise anyone that talks to JUSTIN about getting repairs, get it in WRITING first. Again, if JUSTIN lied about something as simple as a conversation about bringing my car there, I would question his work ETHIC, as well as his INTEGRITY!! The two employees that I spoke to in the waiting area were VERY PROFESSIONAL, not JUSTIN!!
