I love this place. The employees are super nice. They have the best Chinese food in Vista hands down. I usually get their seafood combos to go; the sauce they put on it is so creamy, garlicy, and rich. They package the combos up safe and tight with the food still being hot when you get home too! I really wanted to like this place but I'm still not sure. We always wanted to do Chinese food on Christmas Day and this year we made it happen. Luckily they were actually open on Christmas Day so I'll give them points for that. Very nice people that's a plus, and we were the only customers, I hope things picked up for them. Most of the things we got were good but nothing stood out. Egg rolls were mainly cabbage, wouldn't order them again. Chicken fried rice had very little flavor and the chicken in it had no flavor at all. The absolute worst thing we got was the chicken chow mein, noodles were so overcooked the were completely mush, absolutely inedible. Overall a disappointment, lesson learned. New go to for fresh Chinese!! I was very disappointed when the Pick Up Stix in Vista and San Marcos never reopened after they closed during the pandemic. Freshly woked food blows away places like Panda Express and Howan where you have no idea how long the food has been sitting. Bad thing was it is too far to drive to Escondido or Oceanside for Pick Up Stix, but I tried A-One Wok today and it was fantastic. Cooked to order, ample portions of proteins and very fresh vegetables. We had their house special fried rice and garlic beef. Can't wait to try other dishes, especially their extensive seafood menu that includes green and black mussels. This is a little hidden gem near the vista post office. Prices similar to Panda Express with WAY better food. Everything is made fresh, quickly while you wait. I remembered seeing seafood boils on this restaurant's menu while scrolling through door dash a couple weeks ago, so I gave it a shot. I ordered seafood boil combo #1, cream cheese wontons, and the orange chicken with fried rice and an egg roll. I ordered the boil mild with all sauces mixed, it was truly mild, no spice, but great buttery garlicky seasoned flavor. EVERYTHING was amazing. Fair prices, quality, flavor, arrived hot, packaged well (boil double bagged, vent hole in the wonton box so they didn't get soggy). My daughter and I were so excited to learn that our favorite Chinese buffet restaurant owners, that did not make it through the past year and a half with the shut downs etc., has opened up a smaller dine in restaurant in Vista. The food was even better than at the Buffet, the beef and broccoli was made to order has extra vegetables such as mushrooms, celery, broccoli and carrots, the wonton soup was delicious with shrimp, chicken and vegetables. Their menu had a lot of our favorites from the Buffet and now all made to order. I am really looking forward to trying my personal favorite, which was the salt and pepper shrimp, during our next visit! read more
