Showed up on time and worked quickly. Wrapped up most the furniture in moving blankets and plastic which prevented what could have been a lot of damage. Very minor damage to moved items and the home (dent in the drywall a couple places). It was less damage than we expected. The only thing missing was the fact during the initial phone call/quote the person on the other line noted they'd use jam and corner protectors. Those weren't used. The 4 guys and 2 trucks were professional and courteous. We'd hire them again if we needed to move. read more

I am writing this to share my experience and warn future customers about how this company handles damages and accountability. I hired A Perfect Mover to handle my move into a brand-new home. Three days before the move, brand-new carpeting was installed. During the move, their team caused visible damage to multiple carpeted areas, which I brought to their attention immediately. The owner, Shane acknowledged it and asked me to send carpet cleaning information so they could cover the cost. I scheduled a professional carpet cleaner and informed Shawn when they arrived. Only at that point--two months after the move was completed and fully paid for $10,824 ... ( we are a family of 4 ) Shane suddenly claimed I had a "past due balance" for junk removal labor. This was never mentioned during or after the move, nor on any invoice. It appears to have been brought up only when it came time to pay for the damage they caused. This is especially odd because I had already settled my bill with them totaling $10,824 ...so wouldn't that extra charge be brought up at the time of processing payment.???? Yeah... you'd think so. Despite this surprise accusation, I still attempted to be reasonable and offered to pay the carpet cleaner upfront while allowing him to reimburse the remaining balance (even factoring in the amount he claimed I "owed," which I dispute). Instead of resolving the matter professionally, Shane became defensive, accused me of "threatening a bad review," minimized the damage to my brand-new carpet, and refused to take responsibility. He then said everything would now be pushed through a "claims process," effectively declining to resolve it directly. To be clear: * The job was paid in full the day of the move. * No past due charges were ever mentioned until reimbursement for damages was requested. * The carpets were new and undamaged, and no effort was made by the company to repair or mitigate. * My review is not a threat--it is a reflection of how this company treats customers after being paid. I support small businesses, but integrity matters. A company that damages a customer's home and then invents retroactive charges to avoid accountability is not acting in good faith. Book with caution. Response time was great but initial quote was grossly in accurate. They have an extensive quoting process that involves a video walk-through through your whole home. So we were shocked to find that there was not enough room for all our things on the truck as well as we had to hire for another day. They also didn't have the proper box needed to move our tv. The movers themselves were very courteous and respectful. Management and up that we spoke to were not as respectful. Extremely defensive and accusatory. Eventually, they did make efforts to "make things right". I would use great caution as their quote felt low to get our business and then ultimately we were stuck paying more than if we would've gone with another option. Even with them giving us deal on the extra day. Plus, these are just two of the items that are left in sub optimal condition after the move along with small scrapes to the walls at both the old and new house. *** we spoke with Ken from a perfect mover. Today Matt, Helios, and Scott helped my family by moving a very heavy 40+ year-old piano into my basement. To do this, they had to find a creative way to move the piano safely down several stairs outside my home, across my yard, and finally across very new light-colored carpet to its final destination. They planned it out very well, wrapped and packed the piano with great care, and did an excellent job navigating through the various hazards of the stairs and the yard. They were careful in the approach, clean in taking care of my home, and did everything very professionally while masked for COVID precaution. Arrived super late and waited close to 10hrs for them, they literally don't care about their customers, rummaged through my stuffs and later realized I was missing items. A Perfect Move was highly recommended by our realtor, and I trusted her. The plan was for the mover to pack our belongings, and she would then take over the prepping of the home for viewings. Shane came to the house and provided an estimate approximately 6 weeks prior to the move. He said it would be close, and we were ok with that because we planned to donate some furniture and leave some things behind. It turned out that the mover should have rejected the job as it was not close at all. On the first day of the move, they said "It's not going to fit. Decide what you want to leave behind." That is one of the worst things a mover can say once a move has started. The mover's largest truck was a 26' truck. In the middle of the move, the mover estimates that an additional 16' truck is needed. He can provide that, but it will run an additional $5k if we wait for a move already scheduled to FL that will detour to TX to deliver our things on the way. Otherwise, it will run an additional $8k for a dedicated truck to take the rest of our belongings. What is the point of the estimate performed before the move? A reputable mover would have rejected the job. The estimate was off by approximately 60%. A good estimate will be within 10% of the actual job. Clearly, this company does not know how to provide an accurate estimate. Based on our experience, this mover will not be able to successfully move a household over 3 bedrooms using one truck. If the garage has a lot of items, change that to 2 bedrooms. One of the most frustrating experiences was having to choose items to leave behind, yet when we got to our destination, items that we truly did not want and were very clear to the movers that we did not want, were packed and took up space that could have been used for things we did want. Other items we were clear that we wanted, were left behind. When we looked at the listing for our home, our dinette that was supposed to be on a truck headed to Texas was setting in the kitchen of our WA home! We paid for four additional U-Haul pods to transport the items the mover could not get on his truck. That dinette was one of the main reasons we got the pods. We had to buy a new dinette when we arrived in TX! These issues could have been prevented if somebody took notes. When asked what we wanted or didn't want, why was the mover not writing this down and making sure it happened? I was not aware that one of the packers I was communicating with did not speak English. I showed him my wedding dress and explained how important it was to me and that it should go in a wardrobe box. He smiled, nodded, and agreed. After our move, the dress was nowhere to be found. It was not in any of the wardrobe boxes. Two months later, we found it in the bottom of a box with a bunch of other items piled on top of it. There were important items that we wanted to take in our vehicle for safe keeping: photo albums, sensitive documents, and a desktop computer that had old tax returns and additional family photos on it. All the packers were shown the computer and were aware that it was not to be packed. The computer was there at the end of day 1 of packing. At the end of day 2, it was nowhere to be found. I did not sleep for weeks, worrying that our identities could be stolen. Weeks later, we found the computer packed in a box. There is no system to track boxes and know that all the items that were packed are received at the other end. Most reputable movers have some type of tracking system. This company did a good job the first day of packing. The second day, they just started throwing stuff in boxes, piling one item on top of another ... expensive handbags arrived smashed and mis-shapened. One leather boot is still missing ... how does one boot get packed in one box and the other boot end up in another box? As they are packing our belongings in the bedroom, we are finishing up packing the stuff we need to take with us. We were told to keep everything on the bed that we are taking with us. It was not until that evening that we discovered that a box that was setting on the bed containing my husband's prescription medication had been packed. This medication must be taken every day due to a serious and complex medical condition, requiring us to go to an ER that night if not found. Fortunately, my husband found an additional bottle in his backpack. However, my prescriptions were in that box. I went 2 days without my medication and had to have the pharmacy send it to a drug store on our route for us to pick up. This was our third out of state move over the years, and it was by far the worst experience of the three due to stress and chaos experienced on the day of the move. The right arm doesn't know what the left is doing. There is a lack of communication, disorganization, and an inability to reject jobs it can't successfully perform. read more

I hired A Perfect Mover 3 months ago to pick up a treadmill I purchased from CL. The Treadmill was pretty heavy but disassembled and ready to go. Shane was very responsive and gave me a fair quote. The team arrived a little late (no big deal) and the movers were very nice. They loaded the treadmill with help of a few people at the house. Once onsite, it was clear the movers were not strong enough to move the treadmill upstairs which was outlined to Shane before I hired them. I had to jump in and help move most of the treadmill, directing the movers on how to do their job. After all that, I was still charged $200 (almost all of which was drive time) to basically rent a truck and move it myself. I usually don't write reviews, but this company is AMAZING. We moved into a new house in May 2020 that has a very steep driveway. Long story short, the moving truck could not make it up the hill (we have since discovered that all large delivery trucks have this problem). This meant that all our possessions had to be carried/wheeled up a long, steep hill... in the pouring rain. The whole crew was kind, hardworking, and had a great attitude. They really went above and beyond, calling for extra help and an additional pick up truck to get it all done in one day (and not charging us extra)!). This company knows how to move!!! The name fits!! I first talked with Sheri. She was so good at answering all my questions and she was prompt. The deals are spectacular. I looked around. Then I met Francisco. Omg he was so good. He is like best movers I've seen in my life. So detailed and caring. I didn't know how the storage thing worked. He was telling me that you need this type of lock and explained why. He saw that we had our policy inside the storage unit told me to keep that. If I need to move again which I do. Prices are reasonable. I have used this company twice, totaling 4 movers. Three were very personable, one was dismissive and too cool for school. Each move was a good experience overall, with the exception that each move has broken one of my powered La Z Boy recliners. First time I did not notice till well after the move. This time I was keen to check immediately, as I noticed the mover carrying the chair by pulling on the headrest like a plastic grocery bag, which yanked it right out of the sockets. Same problem, different move (the first time, in addition to the headrest, there was also a short created in the wiring of the power supply. I have it duct taped to keep it working.)I feel it is common knowledge that recliners backs separate from the base, if not I feel movers should know this. The largest problem is that I brought it to their attention immediately. I felt like they shrugged it off. Their tip went from 20%, down to 15%. I also do not feel like I should be the one to bring it up again after I addressed it directly. Clearly they said nothing to their boss, as it's been two weeks since the move and have not had any feedback. In addition, all the plastic wrapping they did, they did not remove. 9 September...11 days later, still nothing. read more

Really I'd give 3.5. My realtor recommended Shane from A Perfect Mover. From reviews, I wish I would have gotten to work with Shane himself. Last time I moved, I used Can't Stop Moving and was blown away by how efficient and nice they were. The guys from A Perfect Mover weren't rude exactly, but they lacked a positive attitude. One of them seemed very out of shape. He was doing a lot of huffing and puffing and complained about being sore because he was working so much. The other two guys didn't complain but they weren't especially kind. There was also a constant smell of sickeningly sweet vape, like strawberry. The out of shape guy also complained about how difficult it was to disassemble my bed. I mean, all our stuff got moved, nothing was damaged, and they took care to put down the correct protection in my new house, so it's all good, but I would hire Can't Stop Moving instead of these guys. I was also a little surprised they weren't wearing masks and/or gloves, but maybe that's not practical for movers. read more

I'd never used a moving service before, and was super nervous about cost and quality after doing research on multiple movers. But these guys were recommended by a friend and I have to say, I see why. They were super efficient and quick, really nice, and all of my stuff was handled perfectly - no dings or mishaps or anything. I was packing up about four pieces of furniture from my studio, and some boxes too, and moving just ten minutes away. Still, we ended up going a little over the minimum of two hours, which seemed a little excessive, but only by fifteen minutes. So all in all, I'd hire them again easily. read more

Used this company for my move a couple weeks ago. The movers dragged a heavy buffet across our hardwood floor and put a deep scratch onto the floor. As a result the entire floor needs sanding and resurfaced. Tried calling them to talk to them about it and they never returned the voicemail I left for them. What a great company! I called yesterday to see if they could help me move a very heavy elliptical to Bellevue and a very heavy dresser and miscellaneous other items to Kenmore. They quoted a fair hourly price, the arrived a few minutes early, they draped any area that could have gotten dinged so that it didn't - then they loaded, delivered and carried in the items to our sons homes.
